@daminox the ai that lets neuro speak and the ai that lets her play the game are two separate AI. The playing AI chooses her tactics, then talking AI can see the gameplay that the other AI is doing, and make commentary on it as if she is the one playing. I'm not a programmer so I don't know exactly how Vedal got this to work, but I believe that's the basic gist.

@@flippantiesthis is actually how'd I would imagine it, because running both AI on the same hardware would likely take both of them out without super beefy setup. It is a lot more impressive to build it in a way that they communicate with each other, similar to how an actual human brain would interact between different areas
A really good question, LLM dont "follow rules" they work of a simulated neural network, a neural network is really just a big filter that picks optimal choices biased on available choices. But the thing is, so are our brains. I think you asking wrong, as we all follow rules, its how we pick the solutions to problems. Right now Neuro is like not exactly more than a combination of clasic game AIs that have programed all the choices with a LLM ontop that can make tosty comments. I think that the real problem here is that thise 2 systems are stil not really 1 A more powerfull "living" AI would be one that can follow a program and explain what its doing along the way. But well i gues the most correct awenser is, idk, ask Vedal But its linkly more of a poppet show behind the screens.
