Hey Raza I am a dance teacher too but Ballroom and Latin and Dance Exercise instructor. I have recently started salsa as my new man is salsa mad and teaches too... just wanted to say it is such a pleasure to have found your channel you, like myself, are a technical teacher and sadly there are very few technicians posting videos and teaching, so thank you, amazing detailed videos and it starts with the basic fundamentals which you have detailed herep... you have confirmed that how I am dancing my basics steps in a straight line going through the foot transitioning the weight is correct. Came to your class at Crofton a few weeks ago... what a pleasure. Keep up the great work. Hope to come again soon you are worth the travelling.
super!! so helpful !! i didnt know these things until you mentioned them!! thanks so much!! yes i'd like to know more about shifting weight please in another video.
Very nice video. Your explanations are very clear. Do you have a video talks about the instances in salsa when you should not put the heel down, aside from the back step?
That's amazing.I seriously didn't notice that with these tips my basic steps are so much better. We learned the tip no 2 with the travelling but the other tips are something new. Thank you!
I really love how she tries to speak and explain and make it easy to remember in English , making the difference obvious and explains why we do it. So useful!
Hi Rasa, thanks for this, I love seeing these details that can change ordinary salsa into the beautiful dance that you do. ❤️ I think the weight transfer is the most difficult get right 🥴 xx
Just call me "Two Track Pinocchio "... Thank you Rasa! This video is a game changer . Am rained out of work all week, so this is doubly helpful --for the dancing and for sanity!
Thank you Rasa, these are such incredible tips as are all of your tips. Yes please do a detailed video for weight transfer. Thank you so much! Hope you're keeping well ❤
Hi! I just found your channel and it's so useful ❤ Question: Do these tips also work for Cuban salsa? I feel confident when dancing with a partner, but when I do my basic step solo, I feel like it lacks flavor. Thank you!
Welcome to the family 😇 Yes it works for cuban, but cuban is a bit more grounded into the floor. And travel less. I'll make some videos just for cuban 😉
I was wondering the same. It will be wonderful if you make a cuban style video too. In my salsa course there is nothing about it and I want to know every tiny thing 😂🤗
You're Amazing Rasa🥰. Thank you for the wonderful tips. Could you in the future also do one for the inside turn?. I struggle with landing that turn on the right count. Please and thank you😍
Yes please do video of exercises for the transfer of weight. I probably need to drill a lot in an exaggerated manner of exercises just to establish some muscle memory .
I do live streams now as well on Sundays , this is one of them, might be helpful. ruclips.net/video/eRI7pwXai9U/видео.html You are welcome to join us, 6.45 every Sunday 💕
Hi Rasa! Great videos! Loved your classes when visited London. Yes - it will be great to get some drills and more technique explanation about tip number 4 - the weight transfer. THANKS!
Hi Rasa, great video! About shifting weight: do you have tips to dance in high heels? Does it make a difference? I bought new shoes that are a little higher than my regular shoes and notice I have more trouble getting my balance right, especially when practicing spinning. My feet and ankles are pretty strong so I don’t think that is the issue. Maybe I just need to get used to it?😄
Most likely you just need to get used to them 😉 dance with those heels as much as you can to practice, and make sure your weight is mostly on the bold of the foot😊
Thanks a lot! I love the way you explain all movement details 😍. Finally I understand more about traveling in salsa! Great tips from you it was so helpful, expecially: one line motion and body transfering. It was just great!
One thing that helps with transferring weight and with stepping in salsa is to not just "step" on top the floor but to push the ball of your feet into the floor (if that makes sense, something that's easier to show than explain in writing).
Thank you so much..I have a question about no.3..I always notice that my legs are over unlock and I don't like the way they looks and I don't know why?can you help me
When you look at yourself and you don't like smth try different things, try to straighten them and soften to see the difference and what actually works best for you 🥰.
On point 1 it will be very hard for most women to crossover with stability and speed especially when the music is very fast. I agree with keeping the feet closer though.
No greg it isnt 🤣its not about if its difficult, its about getting use to it. Once you used to it its a new norm, but that is necessary for them to follow well in x body 😉
No I'm not 😅 it might seem like it I the video cause I'm doing it slow and trying to show it clear 😉. But social dancing is my thing 😉 not ballroom performance.
Transfer video needed!
"I only know that I know nothing"...; You are a great teacher, always teaching us essential things that we did not know existed. You are wonderful

I can't believe I've been learning salsa for a year and still had a huge 'aha' moment with the first tip. Thank you!
Happy to help!
