Idina Menzel won a Tony Award for Leading Actress in a Musical for her work as Elphaba in Wicked.! Originally sang defying gravity on broadway! Tough song to sing especially from a male perspective, so bravo Stell 👏👏👏😍😍😍
I was there on Day 2 and we all gave him a standing ovation! Only Stell can pull off singing a classic Broadway song in a Pop concert. He actually sang in the same key as Idina Menzel's. Impressive! BUT during their Edmonton, Canada concert, which is their last stop, he sang the ending with an even higher note. And it was still effortless!
Funny how you mentioned Little Mermaid. Stell made a video of Part Of Your World, accompanied by a side by side video of Voctave, an acapella group. It is amazing!!! I never get tired watching it over and over again. Also, Stell sang Defying Gravity in the original key of Idina Menzel. 😊

The members of SB19 are fond of watching musicals/plays both here in the Ph or whenever they are in the US. The 2 times that they were in New York (2022 & 2023) they were able to watch some shows on Broadway. And yes, Defying Gravity is from the Broadway musical Wicked & was sung by Idina Menzel. Thanks for this RV!
Jess is correct, this song is originally from the musical "Wicked" and performed by the incredibly talented Idina Menzel who actually won a Tony Award for her role as Elphaba in it. Another great version of this song is the cover by BOOMIN! an Irish indie rock band. I highly recommend checking it out(if you haven't already).

He used the moon as a metaphor that when the night comes, when it should be a time for rest and peace, his mind doesn't give him that. He also mentioned before that he has trouble sleeping (maybe in an interview or one of their vlogs i don't remember now).

Thank you so much for this friend! We actually have reacted to this. It was one of the first things we reacted to from them. We used to do triple threat Sunday where we would react to the same song from 3 different artists all in the same video. The comments were always so hateful so we stopped and deleted those reactions. Not sure how to go about reacting to things we already seen before. We did love their performances 💚💜

Thank you friend. We still love SB19 and listen to them regularly. We stopped reacting due to copyright issues with their label Sony Music Entertainment. They gave us so many problems and it was putting our entire channel at risk.
