i grew up with the n64 version. and ive played the ps1 version trust me the n64 version on the console is nothing like the emulator. the fps just tanks on the n64 due to not being very optimized when ported from pc and its more blurry. the ps1 version is better.
I always found it strange that the PS1 version had voice acting, but in the N64 version, they opted out for text instead. It's a weird change considering the N64 was more than capable of doing voice clips at the time.
@@AgentXRifle Fair enough I suppose. Maybe this game doesn’t run on N64 as well as I thought, as I’ve seen some comments saying that this game just chugs on N64.
@@t.kayotix it does, between 20-25 fps often. PS1 runs at a solid FPS. I’m a N64 fan but even I will admit lots of multi platform games are usually not good on it due to the N64 architecture. Yet some games like Battle Tanx: Global Assault run great on the N64 and the PlayStation version is crap… guess just depends on which console the developers decided was more important for sales.
The funny thing is that in my country, this game for n64 cost around 100 bucks, and for pc and ps1 it cost less than 10 (the copies ofc). After having played n64 rare platformers with the emulator, even thou i wouldnt have been able to afford them, they were the only games worth it to play on those years in the n64, and for the price they had here, more expensive than in USA, I dare to say it was a lot better to own a ps1 and a pc like I did on those times, I dont regret at all, my best late years of my childhood playing all crash games, and almost all 3d disney interactive platformers for pc and ps1.
How are you hitting 60fps on N64 emulation, during the boss fight? It was capped at 30fps when I played on Project 64. (As for the real N64, I couldn't say, as it struggles to do 30fps.)
I Like N64 version, Which One is Your Favorite?
