Member Yujin is participating in the casting show "Girls Planet 999" at the moment, and she said Cube told her that "CLC will no longer be working as a team". "Girls Planet 999" is CJ ENM's current casting show to find a new (permanent?) girl group. CJ ENM is infamous for their casting series "Produce" which gave us project groups like "I0I", "Wanna One", "IZ*ONE", and "X1". CJ ENM also had the show "Idol School" (of which I know little) which brought us in cooperation with Pledis Entertainment the girl group fromis_9 in 2017, since August 2021 management fully moved to Pledis (which is under HYBE since May 2020) . "Produce" & "Idol School" had scandals based on rigged voting, the former with producers being sentenced to prison for it. CJ ENM is also the HYBE partner in the "I-LAND" casting series which brought us ENHYPEN and will have a season 2 for a new permanent girl group in the 1st half of 2022.
CLC is such a talented group, but their Company has never really promoted them much, they don't even have a full album or lightstick and they've been in this Industry since 2015. And recently a member who is in a survival show now revealed that the Company dismissed CLC, which means they are not going to support anything about the group anymore, as if they ever did😒.
