    Such a good tip! I’ve been using my own custom new document profile in Illustrator for years, but never knew you could do something similar in AE!

    how does it replicate the folder structure on your hard drive outside after-effects ? Doe sit need to go into a sub folder named project 1, 2 etc?

      By default this only creates the folders inside of After Effects, HOWEVER, if you were to run File > Dependencies > Collect Files, the (footage) folder that AE creates would contain the folder structure. Note for this to work the folder would need to have something inside it.
