Apart from a couple of GS models this is a grail Seiko for me, absolutely stunning watch, bravo Seiko
Not even a question the chrono is an unbelievable deal. For 2/3 the price of something like a tudor chrono or a about the price of a USEd speedy reduce. You're gettin limited production, colum wheel chrono with a lacquer dialed? From one old the most important name in watch making? Not even close.
It's a good one, thanks for your comment.😊More to come soon! 📺Cheers🍻
Contrary, there are still about ~4 pieces of the SARK003 in the Japanese online Yahoo auction, and ~20+ pieces of the black Urushi version on Rakuten Japan. However, I almost didn't find a single white enamel dial when I searched using the SRQ019 and SARK001 tags. Not sure what is going on in the market over there, surely the white ones seem to have sold out.
Nice voice by the way OP.
So close! I would so buy one of these but it is simply too thick for me (that's what she said). Seriously, it's thicker than my SKX009 which is a diver. A much more elegant and dressier watch should be thinner. Great vid.
Thanks for watching! Stay tuned, more stuff to come soon...including some a little more on the thinner side😉cheers
Fantastic. I love your stuff. Best voice in the watch game, least far as I've heard.
I agree, that the SARK003 & SARK001 are a bit on the thicker side for a dressy watch.
Chronographs aren't dress pieces. All automatic chronographs are chunky due to the added height of the module inside the movement.
I discovered a jeweler just down the road who had this watch and I was able to try it on. I am pleased to say that the proportions were fine. Overall a fantastic piece!
I can appreciate the black dial, but I prefer the white enamel dial. I am planning on buying a SARX027 when I can actually FIND one. I want to get it from SeiyaJapan.com because they are honest sellers that one can trust (many of those Japan sellers on Amazon and ebay are dirt bags!). I am a Seiko lover as well, but I love those enamel dials.
Garry, I can help you buy one directly from Japan if you really couldn't find one. SeiyaJapan still has it, and I think their price (for that model) is actually lower than a lot of other AD sellers.
I think 15mm is way too thick
Radio quality voice! Nice watch... but the undecorated movement kills this watch at this price level.
Thanks for watching🙏😊
Great watches really, can you do reviews to Grand Seikos too? I love seikos perfect watches for the money, most of my watches are seikos.
Hey there, I have plans to review some in the near future😉 Stay tuned📺cheers😊
why you never show the video when the "chrono second hand" reach 60 second? does the chrono minute hand jerk?
I recently tried pairing the black SARK003 with leather straps but I find it hard to match with, however, the white dial is more easier to pair with other straps. For example, here I have a brown leather paired that I personally think is better and less formal than the originally supplied croc strap.

Great comment! Thanks for this detail about the strap pairing! 😊👍
I think it would've been cool if they took out the automatic rotor and made it manual wind , just to make a little bit thinner . It would go with the lacquered style watch , I think . Also , how cool would it be for a manual wind Seiko chrono, with a display back. Plus cheaper . Nice video !
Thank you! Thanks for stopping by, cheers😊
I would like to also add on to this, although the 8R48 movement is also used in many other Seiko models, these SARK001 & SARK003 models have got a bronze-looking rotor instead of the usual silver-looking rotor.
Omg.
Reallyl nice, love the chrono. I have an Orient Star Retrograde so the Seiko would be near identical. But I would spring for the chrono.
Thanks for watching!📺cheers, happy new year😊
Bravo for this video with these fantastic watches.
Thank you my friend! Thanks for watching... good wishes to you in the new year😊
great review, makes me wan't to buy one immediately :)
😊Cheers, thanks for watching👍
Very nice chrono, but that date ruins it for me. Looks like an afterthought.
Thanks for watching my friend, stay tuned more stuff coming soon😉cheers
gosh... this is so beautiful
Nice, but way too big... dress watch should be much thinner and elegant. Seiko failed on the dimensions on this one.
Beautiful, but come on Seiko, when's the Maki-E coming (particularly raden)!
Are you a news announcer lol?
I am not. 😂Cheers, thanks for watching!😊
Were that retrograde date indicator smaller, I would be more inclined to check out the SARD models. I have the SARW013 Urushi and it is the pride of my JDM watch collection. As for the SARK, it is too rich for my blood!
Where's the SARD013 and SARD014?
what is the model of the black dial one at 4:19???
I have the one with numeral indices and this one in white dial. No regrets.
What watch is to the left with the metal strap at 4:19?
Wayyy to thick
Great watch, I have an Urushi dialed Seiko and it's gorgeous. And that voice ! Silkier than a baby deers backside.
Haha! 😂 thanks for the kind words and hanks so much for watching!😊🙏
What's the accuracy of that 8R movement may I know?
Hello my friend! The caliber 8R48 chronograph movement is listed for by SEIKO with accuracy at +25 to -15 per day but that is extremely conservative. Typically people do much better than that. I've seen plus or +7 to -7 per day generally speaking or slightly higher or even lower with the 8R48 and 8R28 movements. Hope that helps! Cheers, thanks for watching😊
watch videos thanks! Yeah that helps. So, it's that standard spec again from seiko. They always quote this....
watch videos also, I was just there in BKK and saw all that beautiful decorations at Central World too but didn't see you filming tho ! Also visited that same watch retailer.
The 8R48 is a 8-beat (4Hz) movement, and the term "Trimatic" is used to described the enhanced accuracy, durability, and efficiency of each Presage watch. The marketed precision is listed as +25 spd to -15 spd. But someone on the following forum did his own test using TimeGrapher , and reported a +0 spd to +4 spd, quite impressive IMO.

Thanks! Great comment and info😊👍Cheers
