Is this a work? I can't really tell if they're just acting theatrically because they're both wrestlers or if it's just a straight work. Kyokushin is hard to tell for me because it's easy to do body shots that look powerful without hurting your opponent. That's the only reason pancrase had open palms only to the head, so they could do half works and half shoots without the audience noticing.
Hard to say. The pacing's pretty theatrical, but that can happen when you have an aggressive fighter like Williams taking on a defensive opponent like Kakuda. I think it's possible that the bout was predetermined, but it's equally possible that the fighters were just told to make it look exciting.
@@mouseysk-1kickboxing527 Thanks for your input, I suppose we'll never know will we? I miss all the welterweight japanese vs heavyweight gaijin fights of the 90s and 00s. Although they probably destroyed all those poor karateka and pro wrestlers brains, in some cases making them get knocked out over and over by assorted giant foreigners.
If you never trained kyukushin or met a real deal kyukushin practitioner, very rare now I’m told, then it will look theatrical to the unknowing person. I hold pads for one of Willie Willams old friend and training partner. He’s 64 year old and has a 8th degree black in Kyukushin. At 64, this man is able to produce bone breaking power punches and make it look easy. The man is cut from the old school-last of the rare few hard style. So what you’re seeing in the video here are killer shots. These guys are cut from the same clothe, and are trained to take the type of punishment no average man can withstand 💯
ウィリー選手は、私も極真空手家なので、小さい頃から憧れの選手です。
この時は、もうピークはとっくに過ぎているのに、凄いですね😮
