I agree guys. Even though the PH is more expensive today than previous, it’s still much more affordable than the west. By my calculations my family could live on 1/3 our US budget but our lifestyle would also level up bc that budget for us would include a cook many days of the wk and also 3 massages a wk for my wife and myself. A much healthier lifestyle than this rat race we live here in the US. We have a trip planned next March to come scout out Duma/Valencia for a retirement spot and we can’t wait!! Take care, Jake
Mike, I keep one rule that guides me about traveling do your due diligence. RUclips Videos are primarily for entertainment, then all the other areas of interest is buyer beware. Too many of us lose our way in our quest to find Nirvana with unrealistic expectations not fully understanding the lay of the land before we jump. Many times we end up in the deep end of the Pool and we can't swim well enough to "Settle Down" to find peace, serenity, and most importantly Contentment. The old tried and true saying tells us life is short so make it well lived life. It takes a lot of deliberative effort.

But now want a firm homebase and do my traveling around from there. Oh meeting the ladies has never been an issue. No dating sites, no bars or clubs, I am just “being” 🙌

I often wonder what my life would have been like if I had been able to move to the Philippines at the age of 40 and live there with my ex-Filipina-wife, but of course I couldn't as I was in the midst of my career. Working on-line was not yet an option 25 years ago.

Compatibility and personality of the woman are the most important for me. To the guys that say they want a college graduated woman with a career, you are here retired so if she is working 8 to 10 hours a day for 6 days a week, how does that work out for the relationship? You want to do things but she is working all the time.
Chad always bends a little differently compared to many other foreigners. I question how a man in his late 40's has the funds to retire so early. He is happy with the fact that he has experienced what he set out to do in the Philippines, a mixed bag and it placed him in a situation where he questioned............now what.............. so he headed home to sort it all out............will the 3rd visit, although challenging, bring the emotional balance of what he is expecting and what he actually will be able to achieve. More time is needed and that Philippines spark remains lighted.
I lived that western life. Only could spend time with my wife on the weekend. As a Dr she worked long hours and came home exhausted. It was no way to live. After living in Vietnam for 3 years the lifestyle is much slower and better.
This is a topic l enjoy. Some of us come from countries where our currency is not as strong as the USD, but to live comfortably with the basics and keep costs down is good to know

I plan yo come in early 2025 & Cebu area then Duma will be initial home base. Not in a hurry to wife up so eating will be more of a chore than if I'd a girl.

Most of my gfs had great jobs...I rarely supported them...but I do pay for everything we do. I think too much Medicare money in the US and they'll never let go of that money because all of these senators and representatives are paid for buy these Medicare companies.. when I was paying cash for my doctor visits I was paying $89 a month.. when I got Medicare through Humana and my doctor visit was free but Medicare was paying over $300 just for the visit.. I get a statement every month showing what they are paid. Same with my blood pressure medicine that was costing me $5 a month now it's $35 a month and my co-payment is 0.. now you tell me if that does not smell fishy? Not costing me any money but it is costing the taxpayers money.. those companies will never let go of that free money by Letting another country in on their scam😮.. that is just what I know and that is just scratching the surface on Medicare fraud that is totally legal..😢😢

Dating a 21 year old would be hard to do. She’s not mature and compatibility would be a make shift type fantasy as one doesn’t have much in common if the age is 20+ years apart. To get one is fun to be with one of marry them I couldn’t do it. I’ve had kids and at 18-24 them little snotty nose kids that I know is no where close to being mature enough for life but hey to each is own.
I will make a deal with her as my combination housemaid cook and companion and pay her monthly like American men you used to pay their housewives in America.. then I am getting something out of the deal and and so is she and I am covering my ass at the same time..if that arrangement would last a long time then maybe the girl has some quality about her.. she could give her earned money to her family or whatever.. we both will be getting something out of the deal.. and I have to say always treat her with respect kindness and with love and kid gloves..like Don rickles said on the movie Kelly's heroes, "Make a deal"😮😮😅😅😊😊

Dating a 21 year old would be hard to do. She’s not mature and compatibility would be a make shift type fantasy as one doesn’t have much in common if the age is 20+ years apart. To get one is fun to be with one of marry them I couldn’t do it. I’ve had kids and at 18-24 them little snotty nose kids that I know is no where close to being mature enough for life but hey to each is own.
