Greetings RUclips,
Welcome to my RV Renovation and Tour video.
"The Purple Palace" is a 1987 Jayco Class C Motorhome. She is on a 26ft Ford E-350 Econoline chassis.
My name is "Queen Tasha" and I have been living Solo full-time RV life for over 2 years now with my toy chihuahua Prince. The Purple Palace is my second motorhome. I'm so thrilled that my envision for this project came together so nicely and that I'm finally here on RUclips to show her off. I have been living in her for about 6 months now in Florida and I love this life. I'm here to put a New Young Black-face to this alternative lifestyle to show that this is for US too if we so choose.
In this video, I show me picking her up in her original form to the transformation of how she became The Purple Palace. The tour is at the end so make sure you watch until the end.

There's Crystal Vanner, and Trusting Your Process was a full-time van or RVer but I think now she's moved into an apartment, and there's another black lady doing van-life or rv urban in LA - wish I could think of her name right now sorry. I'm white, but my 2 best friends in high school were black & I've dated black, and I honestly worry about black RVers - full or part-time - how you might get treated when you get the 'knock on the door' from authorities for being questioned where you're parked cause it's bound to happen, it happens to white RVers - and I'm very afraid that you will NOT be treated as friendly or fairly as white RVers. Praying for you all. Black Lives Matter

I’m a 59 year old, single female and I pull my 20 foot 2020 Kodiak travel trailer all over the place. Love to see other females doing the RV thing. I’m not full time but I hope to do it when I retire. I’d love to upgrade to a 5th wheel. We’ll see! Lol. You made it your own and that’s wonderful!! Enjoy!!

Duke, I have to say... you won't be saving much. It cost a small future to go to camp sites and if you are boondocking... that's another story. If you want the comforts of home, the price hits hard upfront. We just finished ours a couple months ago and we posted it on our channel.
Duke... You save wayyyyy more money as a Vanlifer. I don't have to pay overhead or nightly stays. As for the wife. Can't help you there. I left my ex. I don't need anyone in my life sitting on the sidelines dictating. Now those 2 issues are out of my way. I enjoy the full experience. I do like to port my van sometimes so having multiple places to port on your own small lots are very recommended!!!.

Glenda, what did you pay for your Class C and what type is it? How did you find it? Where are you in NM? I want to make NM a regular location for my nomad travels.
@@ArtsyLadyCrafter Hi! NM is a lovely area, dry and arid with nice mountains for skiing and cooling off in the summer. I use RV Parky to plan my trips. A cousin found my RV for sale in her home town. I may have paid too much, but it was in great condition, 52K miles for $22K. It's been just wonderful for my full time for a year. Hope to keep it for quite a while, I've put 10K miles on it and driving has been easy. Good luck on your adventures--during these crazy times!

@@glenda2020 RV Parky does have a website. I've already looked over 2 rest stops on I-40. Boy I could feel the heat and smell the dust as I traveled on Google Maps! Felt like I was there, so excited! Signs at rest stop said "Watch Out For Snakes" or something like that. 😯
I'm from the SE and NM is as far west as I want to go to boondock/camp, except for RTR. I drove to CA in the 80s, so I know how the heat feels and the sandy dust smells. I survived Death Valley!

Idk where you live but craigslist has been on point with the used campers, 5th wheels, and buses. Or if you can wait till next year hold out until income tax season. That's when all the folks selling their stuff for pretty good prices. But it goes fast cause all us working people finally got money lol.
I love your Purple Palace, she is truly a jewel. Iam currently searching for a shuttle bus to do the same. After viewing a similar model I decided instead of gutting one that it maybe best to start from a shell and simply create what I want.

Wow! You are so talented, and your voice is like honey!! You could so voice overs or commercials it's beautiful!! What you did to this RV is Amazing!! I have a 2018 31 foot RV Class C. I have been in it a year! Usually people change RV's every year or remodel. I just moved in si ce it was new. It needs remodeling for sure cuz it doesn't have my personality in it. Wow wow wowwww! Sis! You did such a good job, I'm so jealous. And you made it seem so easy; either transforming an RV is a lot simpler than I thought it would be, or you're skilled. I would really love to get to experience van-life for at least a small potion of my life 😍 Good for you!
The process is Definetly not simple...but ita attainable for anyone as frugal as I am😜...I don't mind getting my hands dirty and trying to do it myself first...and I have some basic skills... but no professional by any means. But I would say generally anyone can do this.😁 You should definetly try out some type of mobile living that suite you and based on what I've seen on your channel it would be an easy transition for you because your already a nomadic person.😉

Monday was last treatment and this has been my dream. I was looking a vehicle when I was diagnosed over year ago so that put it on hold,,,, life's too short. I finally saved enough again.... the cancer took all my savings but but it didn't take me. .... Enjoy it. I love everything about it

I admire your bravery. I suffer from anxiety. I admire your fearlessness. I am going to buy a Trailor in three more years. I want to leave the City a live a quiet simple life in the Country. I would never have the courage to ride a scooter or drive an RV but a Trailer that I OWN is freedom to me. Really enjoy your channel !

CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE COUNTERTOP! I've never seen a pink marble style counter, let alone in an RV-LOVE THIS SO MUCH. I love how the space is YOURS. Most folks decorate to a standard of white cabinets, faux plank floors etc. This space is so individual. So happy for you and inspired by you!

I just did my small build on my Prius v five and I did the same not safe cutting with the wrong tool and the wrong blade, but it's what I had and I made it work. Great job! I will have no oproblems spotting you on the road. I recognize that core screen tent. I sold my core tent and grabbed a Gazelle 5 screen room. Try it, it's fab!!!
