    The one you acid washed and cut is absolutely gorgeous🤩 , and it is definitely going to look more amazing when polished up. Thanks for the tip with the acid wash 👍

      You are very welcome. Just remember if you're not using gloves at first make sure to wear them once you add the hydrogen peroxide (also no stronger than 3%)

    Man so silty! Glad that was a bit clearer when we went looking. Maybe from the construction they're doing nearby... We need to check that out sometime soon. Dude I think you did pretty good in this video!

      Agreed, and it was also right after the water went down from those crazy rains we had, I do like that up stream area, when I went back a day or two later to check out the side creek I saw the water went murky very very fast once we run out of bedrock

    Awesome Find's!!!! I so wish Kansas City had this. Do you run into other collectors all the time or almost never? Wouldnt't you love to live where that creek was in your backyard.

      Surprisingly I almost never run into collectors looking for URA'S and usually when I do it seems to be a friend of mine who also collects who ended up getting the day off. We have actually called each other from the same creek at diffrent parking areas getting ready to go rockhounding lol

    I thought rocks were to be placed in the bucket before the acid?

    • @huntingrocks
      @huntingrocks  19 часов назад +4

      Usually, yes, for safety , but danger is my middle name, lol
      But honestly, I know the makeup of those rocks and know they won't go crazy with foaming, if it's something like say high in calcium carbonate like lime stone then yes for sure add rock then acid or the release of gasses can and will cause acid levels to rise and can cause burns (though mild ) when I work with muriatic acid it is a weaker form of hydrochloric acid (which is the same thing g just stronger) and more precautions are taken.
