I was adopted by the MOST AMAZING amazing parents. I seriously hit the parent jackpot! I remember my wonderful Daddy singing this song in church on Sundays when I was just a little girl. This and Amazing Grace. He had the most beautiful voice and soul. My parents were married almost 50 years, and he could NOT have loved my mom and us any more. When I hear this SO BEAUTIFULLY sung, I am reduced to tears (sobbing really) and quite honestly, a really really "ugly cry" I miss you so very much, and I know your children, and my mother, who was the person you always just called, "MY BRAUTIFUL BRIDE'" or "MOST BEAUTIFUL" is waiting to join you in Heaven. At 98, and a very HEALTHY 98 LOL, I know she is tired and wants to be with my Dad again. My Daddy never called anyone by their given name and I do not remmeber ONE TIME, him referring to her as Fran. He had a nickname for all of us kids. My name is Susie, and I will forever be "Suzi Bell" or just "Belle" For 28 years you were the light of my life...I could not have been as blessed to be adopted by you and Mom,,, My heart hurts but it also rejoices in the face that we will see each other again. Somehow, someway. I am not sure that I believe in the traditional, Christian "Heaven" but I do believe that you will always be in our hearts, and the hearts if every person you touched and loved.
You will see your dad in Heaven one-day its a promise from your Heavenly Father there is a Heaven trust and believe in God's word ask Him to show you and believe and He will reveal himself to you God bless you your family and your precious mom 🙏🙏🙏
We can't comprehend how great our heavenly father's love for us is in this mortal form. your dad's love is a taste, a snapshot of how good it will be. Indescribable beauty and joy and that wondrous love is in your future. 🙂

This was my dad's favorite song and he was in a men's singing group at his church and this was one of the songs they sang my dad had a great voice but he is greatly missed as our family lost him to cancer back in early 2000 my kids were young at the time and my youngest though he was just sleeping and that he was going to wake up .he died on Father's day
A group of my friends sang this version of this song.. It was a privilege to sing the the part from 3:02 to 3:18. To me we did it as tribute to the tenors.
