This is by far one of the best simplest yet beautiful makeup tutorials I have seen in a while. In the midst of all the glam tutorials out there this one breaks it down and makes the most sense to me. Please don't ever stop making these types of tutorials because you'll be depriving women like me of the basics, one of the reasons why I'm drawn to your channel and videos.
Melissa- THANK YOU for APPLYING the products as you talked about them. It is so much more helpful when people apply and talk rather than just TALK TALK TALK about products! Lol... AND all of these products you used cost-I estimated- under $75, which is AMAZING. This is the look I do almost everyday. I am at the point of giving all my eyeshadow palettes to my daughter because I am only using my bronzer, a blush color, my highlight and of course my lucky penny shadow, not at once, on my eyes-only. As ALWAYS-you rock. x
THIS is what makeup should be considered as: “Enhancing your natural beauty”. Not something just to “cover up” your flaws. Everyone is beautiful in their own shape and form. Eyeshadow to help your natural eye color stand out, lip stick to show the shape of your lips so on and so forward. This is why I like and use makeup to make me realize the beautiful qualities I already have, not to be overly confident but to learn to love myself.
I think blusher is an essential for sure for some skin tones. I feel lucky to be Olive so I can use bronzer but some more fair skin tones really look nice with blusher only
alexandra mendoza my skin is quite fair (even though it doesnt look like it on my picture) but it is naturally red around the cheeks and i flush very easily, so when i do my everyday light coverage foundation i find that i dont need blush
Dude, yes! I couldn't agree w/ you more. I tried skipping blush & pretty much just do exactly what she did in this video & idk why but my face still looks flat! So blush is an everyday essential for me, plus I have a lot that I need to use up 😅
I love the fact that you always shared some very informative tips and tricks not just reviewing products because I honestly learned a lot from you ❤️💃🏻
Yesss this video is amazing. I love how you focus on enhancing your natural beauty and just doing a fresh face. Never thought to use my butter bronzer and a highlighter for eyeshadow. Seriously thank you for making this video Melissa. Also, I need to check out that setting mist because I never know which ones are good from the drugstore.
TY SOOO MUCH FOR DISCUSSING THE DISCOLORATION ON UR BOTTOM LIP!!!!!! IM NEW TO MAKEUP N I HAVE THE SAME ISSUE I DIDNT KNOW WHAT WAS WRONG W MY BOTTOM LIP N HOW TO LINE THEM!!! I HAV BEEN SEARCHING YOU TUBE TRYING TO FIND SOMEONE ELSE W THE SAME ISSUE BUT NOTHING SO THINK U SO MUCH FOR POINTING THAT OUT!!!!!!
'i dont know any girl who can live without mascara' well im here to introduce you to asian girls who hardly benefit at all from mascara...haha the must have item in my case is defo eyeliner instead!
Melissa typically hyperpigmentation is hormonal. Just a thought. You are gorgeous & I appreciate that you keep it real. A lot of young ladies are learning from these videos and you keep it classy! Great job love!
Make up gurus should learn from you. Articulate, direct to the point, less drama, fast, very detailed, explains really well. Wow. Really impressive. I'm blown away and never got bored. ❤
This video is SO well done! You explain everything well & your thought-process behind each kind of product definitely makes sense. AND you chose all affordable products! This is a home run, lady! 🙌🏻
I love this so much. I'm a mom and don't have much time to do a full glam look everyday, but I love makeup and do find time to do a little natural enhancing. The products I have right now do an alright job but everything in this look, looks amazing and so much better! Definitely going to try ALL of these.😍
This is such a great video! I am a newbie here & currently getting ready to go on a trip & I had absolutely NO idea what to pack of my makeup. I was like “I just need essentials!” But then again I was like WHAT ARE THE ESSENTIALS *freaks out* & boom. This video popped up! So happy! Thank you!
Took your suggestion with the Maybelline fibre brow gel and I didn't even need to fill in my brows, and I have never gotten so many compliments. And another high key shoutout to Melissa for these bomb af tips
I a m so glad that you have come this far in the make up industry and I am even happier thar I was here all along to see you rise! your videos always make my dayy!! you look beautiful as always, keep it up melissa!!!
I love this video! You look so beautiful! I also have an olive skin tone and usually skip the blush. Your headband hoop earrings and green eyes reminded me of Esmeralda from hunch back. Did anyone else get that vibe or is it just me? ❤️💃🏻
Hands down my favorite MUA artist!! Always love the variety of videos you come out with, product suggestions & great tips!! I seriously try to apply everything you teach me. Lol From one Latina to another you rock chica thank you!! 😊👍🏼
So many of these are my essentials too, the brow gel has taken the place of my beloved gimme brow and the spray is my absolute MUST HAVE from the drugstore!
Love how u sneeze and then say "Mascara!" 😝👀😘 Will definitely try the Butter Bronzer & Maybelline Unreal lip color, was so pretty! Even these items are expensive for me, but may go to Sephora for the RCMA powder too if it's worth it!
Loved this video so much! Thank you for making it drugstore and affordable! You look so beautiful. The makeup really did enhance your natural beauty :)
Melissa I would love if you'd do side by side comparisons after you apply because its amazing to see what a big difference some simple applications can make. Much Love!
Thank you Melissa! This video is soo helpful and so practical! Mainly because I've been struggling to find a makeup look that works for everyday and your pointers help me to find a look the best fits me! Thank you again for another stellar video 💛
Beautiful hunny 😍 I use EVERYTHING except the highlighter I don't own that YET but EVERYTHING else I have and use I did not care for that wet and wild setting spray I felt it did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for my makeup I felt it was just like spraying water on my face 🤔 but that gloss was STUNNING on you I have the SAME EXACT shade but mine is the VIVID MATTE!! I NEEEEED that gloss ASAP!! Also I would like to say an ESSENTIAL for me as well is BLUSH it just gives your cheeks a nice flush of color makes you look more youthful and pretty!!! You looked stunning as ALWAYS great video lots of information I enjoyed it!!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Absolutely, Beautiful and stunning. I apply concealer instead of foundations and only to the center of my face, and I don't use a bronzer or even contour.. I am black, so I pretend like I don't need it. 😅😂 I also use a liquid or powder highlight to enhance my look, like you said. Mascara , fill my brows IS SUPER ESSENTIAL, EVEN IF I am not wearing make up, and lipstick. That's my go to everyday. Thank you, Melissa. Love you loads. 😍😍❤️❤️
Wow! That rose water spray has been around for soooo long! I used to buy it decades ago, literally decades, in Hawaii at the health food store. You can usually find it at your local health food store. Thanks!
My favorite drugstore loose powder is the original one by airspun, it’s around $3-5, you get a lottttt of product (I believe it’s about 3 ounces) and it’s the best thing I’ve ever used and it’s perfect for every shade
That sneeze! Happens to me all the time, but while my mascara is WET! 😫 tips on how to clean off mascara from your face (eyelid, undereye, perhaps a smear on your cheek) once you've already applied makeup there!
Lora Orz I have rose and I think it’s absolute garbage and would never reccomend. I like how it looks on but I find it starts “bleeding” I guess or something but it goes all outside my lips and just looks really weird. I try to use it sparingly but it still does it I find !
Thank you for this I love that they are drugstore products and the way you used the bronzer and highlighter in multiple ways that comes extra handy especially when you are limited on time
Melisa! I'm so glad you said that primer isn't an essential item because I've always thought that it was since I always see beauty gurus using it all the time. I wasted my time & money trying out all these different types of primers & saw no difference whatsoever w/ the look of my makeup, so eventually I stopped using it. Now, you're telling me it's not essential & I can basically use anything I want to replace it... seriously, FML 😩
So gorgeous. This is definitely almost identical to my everyday look. I do a bb cream with pretty good coverage(covergirl clean matte bb), WNW photofocus concealer under the eyes, lightly powder, butter bronzer, essence pure nude highlighter (because it literally looks like your skin is glowing rather than being a metallic strip), loreal lash paradise mascara, a tinted brow gel, and then I usually line my lips and then put on a nyx butter gloss in the shade tiramisu I think it is called. But, omg I have got to go out and get that lip liner and that lip gloss you put on. The combo is stunning for an everyday look and made your lips look so pretty and full. I also really want to try out the covergirl vitalist foundation again. I bought it a few months back and the shade I picked was a spot on match at first but then it oxidized by like 2 shades and looked ridiculous so then I went back and went a shade down so that when it oxidized it would match my skin and that did help it to better match the color of my skin, but then that one had a completely different undertone and made my skin look pinky beige compared to my warm undertone so I just got aggravated and took it back and got my money back. But, it really does look gorg on the skin so I want to try one more time to find a better match. :/
Nooo it's like very natural I usually apply a tiny bit with my fingers when I don't want to wear any makeup and I love how it looks. You can even build it up to a very strong highlight with a brush. Applying it with fingers makes it look more natural. I use the pinkish tone.
I just stumbled upon you and this tutorial. Thank you so much for applying and talking about what you are applying. The makeup does look beautiful and quite natural.now to check out, more of your videos.
First time watching your videos and omg love them !!! watched this one and subscribed right away. I'm new to makeup so I'm learning a lot through youtube. Will definitely be watching your other videos :) !!

imagine looking like Melissa and you don't need to enhace anything because everything is already enhanced

alexandra mendoza yup! I can skip bronzer but not blush!
I am fair and even though my skin can get flush at times I'm definitely a blush girl! Even if it's very subtle.
alexandra mendoza can't agree more! I'm pale and can't live without a blusher, but can definitely survive without a bronzer haha
I love the fact that you always shared some very informative tips and tricks not just reviewing products because I honestly learned a lot from you ❤️💃🏻

This is so refreshing. I mean, in a sea of full-faced glam Instagram makeup, we all appreciate a more natural look sometimes.
Possibly the best natural "no makeup" makeup look I've seen. Great video/tutorial, I really like!
Loved that you used and applied all the products you mentioned, very refreshing to watch them in play as you talk about them! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This video is SO well done! You explain everything well & your thought-process behind each kind of product definitely makes sense. AND you chose all affordable products! This is a home run, lady! 🙌🏻
