Each character (aside from Krillin, who was probably the one that legitimately got shafted) got to show off and have their moments, overcome some intense obstacles (if they weren't the obstacles), and even get the respect they deserved when they fail. Even the main characters struggled and got their butts handed. Heck, the one who won the whole thing was friggin' Android 17, someone who *isn't* a main character. We even had a bunch of C-Tier characters get the spotlight, with some D-Tiers having some memorable quality. As for Dyspo himself, he achieved feats like being able to keep up with Hit besides Goku and Jiren, pushing Frieza and Gohan to their limits, and having to eliminate him sacrificially since they couldn't beat him in a fair battle. He also proved to be a character who, unlike Burter, has more than enough evidence and skill to back up his ego of being the fastest (up until Goku perfected Ultra Instinct, which may or may not still be slower).
Supersonic Mode is weird, it has a number of effects, -Stamina drain about equal to Kaioken X3 without the reduction of stamina needed to vanish -Movement speed skyrockets -Roughly a 10% damage increase across the board -Justice Blade warps -Justice Crash (2nd input of Justice Kick) doesn't use the extra bar of ki -Can cancel out of his grab with step dash/boost dash -No super armor on the transformation sequence after the shock wave goes off -If his stamina breaks he does a short winded animation as if he just got up from a heavy break leaving you open -Needs no ki whatsoever to activate, only condition is that your stamina isn't broken I believe that's it, been using Dyspo a lot lately and trying to learn the ins and outs of his Supersonic Mode.

@@schizophrenicmelancholy2706 Yep, the speed can be really unruly if you're not used to it (still trying to get it down myself tbh) and it's definitely meant to be used in bursts, use it to get in a decently powerful combo and drop out before you get yourself killed. As I'm typing this I actually just remembered that Supersonic Mode is the sole transformation in the game that doesn't need any ki to activate, so it could be used as a quick opening ass kick or thunder across archipelago or glacier before everything starts going to cheesy pot.
I know I’m late to the party, but I got the dlc recently and dyspo is my favourite character to play. I’ve never really used the transformation online and I’m hoping to pull it off once. Thanks for the tips
Dyspo is without a doubt my favorite for the new dlc because he actually takes skill to use and his awoken form isnt broken but if your in your awoken form you can use justice blade after knock backs which can make for some really cool combos

So all you have to do with literally ANY character is just spam their optimal combo and then ki cancel when you miss or when your opponent vanishes. Plus, you can beat people by playing super timid as well, regardless of the character you OR your opponent is using. The snap vanish mechanic pretty much gives you full invincibility in combination with the incredibly desynced netcode, so you can just abuse that and then the instant your opponent is open from an attack, you start a combo. So no, characters in this game do NOT take skill to use.
Nah his Super Sonic mode also changes his moves (except Justice Kick) making him teleport to them when you use it, it's great to quickly finish people off.

there is a use for the supersonic mode: if you do the full heavy combo into justice blade into circle flash in supersonic mode you just nuked the opponent

I think Dyspo is a fun character with an entirely unique playstyle. I am grateful that Dimps added all my favorite ToP characters to Xenoverse. I do agree that his transformation needs some tweaks though. For the 1% of players that sweat this character its so good its broken. But for casual players (like myself) its hard to get any use out of it without it backfiring. I consider it to be flawed gameplay if a character's playstyle is so niche that it doesn't work for the majority of other players. Not sure how I would balance it if I were Dimps though, as removing stamina drain would cause the opposite problem and make it downright broken.
I think the only good thing about Supersonic Mode is that Justice Blade teleports and can catch opponents off guard. The speed buff can be a bit weird. Although i did notice a slight boost to attack
