Dantonio was butt hurt over comments by a college kid at the time....Mike hart is 36 now and I bet if a kid said something to him he's laughing them off
Let's not forget how terrible Michigan and most of the fans actions in the past, but let msu do one thing wrong and how dare them. Michigan does a great job of playing the victim.
This doesn't surprise me. I'll never forget watching an MSU vs UM game back when I was in school and seeing one of the MSU players grab the UM players helmet and twist that shit like he was trying to break the players neck. MSU takes that rivalry game too seriously. They were already kicking our ass but the level of aggression they brought to the game was wild.
Their program is a pathetic disgrace and has been for a long time. Dantonio masked it up with winning for a few seasons and letting them be dirty on the field in the process. Now they are returning to their typical station within the conference and Mel Tucker has no problem allowing them to lash out on and off the field about it. They are an embarrassment to the state of Michigan and the Big Ten conference, and there needs to be consequences.
Mike Hart got it right...which is why, and always will be little brother...when the University of Miami, played FIU, back in 06', at the Orange Bowl, the ugly brawl ensued after the game. The end result, even though Larry Coket won the national championship with the Canes, in 02', he was fired end of year. The same should be of Tucker..
I imagine Dantonio is having a good day sitting on his sofa right now. He instilled this take no prisoners attitude at MSU. Playing beyond the whistles and off the field.
Jim is a legend! An outstanding coach, was at the game at the coliseum years ago when he beat Pete Carrol and went for 2 late to crush SC. Jim is a winner, ethical, responsible, professional and a winner at all levels. As a diehard Wolverine fan, I can state without equivocation he is going to win the NC, and is the finest coach in the land, and it goes beyond just wins and losses. It’s called integrity, it’s his hallmark instilled in him at Michigan by Bo. 👍🏈
Thank you coach harbuagh. Our society has been increasingly becoming more violent and encouraging of this behavior. It's great to hear coach condemn it and demand accountability.
Michigan should raise funds for a Michigan Armed Force to protect Michigan players and staff from Sparty. 25-30 armed soldiers with no guns, just non lethal weapons like helmets shields batons armor mace and tasers to watch Sparty players to stay in line. The armed unit can follow Sparty on campus, at the Big House, on the field and in the locker room to keep them in line. If they get out of line, the Armed Unit can arrest and subdue those violent Spartan players and throw them into a cell on their sideline if they act up. If they act up in the tunnel, the Armed Unit can taze them or pepper spray them and throw them into a separate cage near their locker room. Once the Spartan players are subdued, we can open up their cages and then deliver them to local Michigan police for processing and fingerprinting. 25-30 soldiers would be perfect sized unit to keep Spartan players in line. We can do a GoFundMe or a alumni fund raiser to get the funding.
It is time to stop this series. MSU takes this "hate week" way more serious than they need to. Move MSU to the West and bring Purdue to the East. Play MSU every 6 years or so.
Not a fan of either so completely unbiased. That was nothing less than disgusting. The players are thugs lead by a thug coach. Coach creates the culture and this falls on him. Reap it.
I can't speak about anyone else's involvement in this beyond the players. No matter what the culture or environment of MSU football is, those players made a decision to act how they chose to act and will be held accountable. Personally I don't think a coach or staff should be held accountable but that decision is not up to me.
Every fight whether on or off the field should be considered assault and all parties should be prosecuted. This head coach is responsible and he wouldn’t ever take responsibility, not would crazy drunk fans, nor steroid jacked players from bad backgrounds that this a-hole exploits like the other coaches.
Michigan should take some responsibility here as well. I'm not condoning the violence here, but this was the 3rd tunnel incident just this year. Plus the Michigan player ran ahead of his team to get in the middle of the MSU team. Accept some responsibility here.
When USC and UCLA come to the Big Ten and divisions go away, Michigan should play OSU, Penn State and USC every year. MSU can be played every four years. Screw them, they are not Michigan's rival. We do don't need that game.
The sharty players need to be kicked off the team and charged with felony assault! If Mel Tucker doesn't kick the players from the team it will just show even more what a POS coach he is!
Yo, two weeks two teams two tunnels and the only common thing is your UM team. guess Some culture issues there? Ringleader Jim? champion of Acting like a victim
It appears that asault was planed. Several players Helmets still on ganging up on 1 player not fully suited??? I've seen enough games & when the players are coming off field they pull their helmets off. The game was over. They All had their helmets ON off field in the tunnel & ganged up on & attacked a player alone & NOT fully suited. That's premeditated. Very POOR conduct. My grandson @ 8 just played his 1st year this year. I admired the coaches drilling the kids about sportsmanship & how they are to treat all players respectfully. Theres NO WAY "They didn't know" Its ashame they just ruined it for so many especially themselves.
BUSH LEAGUE. Wish we could play em again now. As for the tunnel, there needs to be a new policy put in place to control that situation. Divide the tunnel somehow? Or maybe keep Michigan on the field till the visitors are in their locker room. This is the 2nd time this year and the 3rd time counting last year's OSU game that there has been either a half-time scuffle between teams or an end of a game scuffle. Even if Michigan was speaking junk at them there is no excuse for that. I am sure Michigan has listened to smack talk since last year and on the field this year. There still is NO EXCUSE for that ganging up on a Michigan player, without a helmet, and then at one point a player swinging a helmet and hitting him in the head. IF I was a parent the police would be filing charges.

Just sad no need for that shit 20 on 2 that's really sad. And to the states football coach Attitude reflects leadership.
Penn State stopped and refused to go in their locker room, James Franklin orchestrated the whole thing. MSU players kick punch and swing helmets at players while outnumbering them. The problem is other schools cant take a beating, not a tunnel that has been the same way since the stadium was built.
95 years players have been walking down that tunnel. Maybe they need better protocols going forward but there is no excuse for what happened. It's not the tunnels fault sparty players gang assaulted a UM player. The only thing that would have justified what happened is if the UM player pulled out a knife.
Jim harbaugh two weeks when asked about the tunnel, he Said " I have bigger fish to fry." What a hypocrite. Should have taken james Franklin concern seriously. Michigan state was wrong, juwan hoawd was wrong and for this coach to mock James Franklin when he brought up a legitimate safety concern harbaugh blew it off. Disgraceful
This is the same coach who cried about Cam Brown retaliating when Roman Wilson laid on the ground holding and twisting his ankles. Brown was literally coming back from an achilles injury. Lot of examples to show michigan may have a track record of being bush league, but no accountability. Like when Devin Thug Bush tried to start fights and destroy the field pre-game. Classy michigan men. Always someone else's fault. Way to teach accountability.

@@sladetheexpectation They already took more accountability than UM ever has. They suspended players... Same UM program who allowed a rapist kicker to stay on the team. When will UM fix this? Put up a divider, more staff there, different entrance/exit for one of the teams. This is awful behavior by MSU players but this stuff has continued to happen and UM has a lot of blame here.
It's a simple fix. Put up ropes, have one team go through before the other, have state troopers present, set an example. These kids need it drilled into their heads that if they ever do something like this their football career is over.

Now Michigan players are accusing Michigan State [players of beating up 2 of their players in that same tunnel. Hmmm, because Michigan players get picked on so much in that tunnel, maybe The BIG should tell Harbaugh to protect his players better by having them use the Women's Volleyball Locker room during home games!?
Harbaugh needs to stop offering his opinion on the situation. He failed in his duty to protect his players by teaching them to avoid such situations. Host school is responsible for the safety of ALL players. UM failure to recognize potential repeat incident after PSU Game. One reporter mentions "every year or every other year" something like this happens. Tucker administers discipline (rightly so) and Harbaugh doesn't even raise the question of why one or two of his players entered the tunnel without the rest of their teammates.
You're delusional. MSU players assault UM players, better blame Harbaugh. Also, it's clear you haven't been paying attention. The UM players were injured and were going to the locker room to get PT. Also, UM had extra security on hand. Grow up, take off the homer glasses, and call a spade a spade.

Tucker has responded with discipline against those players deemed responsible. Law Enforcement and Attorneys will address whether any criminal charges may be made. Harbaugh and Tucker are football coaches; nothing more, nothing less. They are each responsible for the safety of their players. Host school is responsible for safety of players for both teams and fans. If the UM players were injured so severely they couldn't wait 10 minutes to get to the locker room for PT, maybe they should have gone before the game was over. An ongoing investigation means that Jimmy shouldn't comment on what he expects to transpire. Harbaugh is partly responsible for the incident owing to his unwillingness to address his tunnel problem and his failure to rein in his trash-talking players.
Why are people still trying to shift the blame? Players have walked down that tunnel for over 90 years. The only people responsible are the MSU players involved. No amount of trash talk should get you beat up like that. What kind of ghetto-trailer park world do these sparty fans live in?

No doubt in my mind that the UM player was running his mouth and has some culpability in this one way or another! Um needs to accept that their guy isn't totally blameless here and acknowledge it but Harbaugh is to big of a punk to admit it. I could like UM if the right Harbaugh was the HC.
Doesn't matter if the Michigan player was running his mouth or not. That doesn't give the right for the MS players to have jumped him. And the fact you had grown ass adults just watching and not doing anything is disturbing.
Does Bush league include Devin Bush? Does it it include every time UM players start their antics in the tunnel. This goes back to when fully suited up Shaw #20 assaulted Dane Sanzenbacher who was not even padded up yet. How many times has the athletic director 🤔 seen the antaginization from UM players and staff in the tunnel for him to finally do his job rather than act like a victim and act surprised. Beilein called him out on it subtly with “ we can be rivals and compete but it doesn’t need to extend beyond the lines. It’s not personal” MSU fans aren’t ready for that conversation tho. Oh and the tunnel excuse yeah that’s the same tunnel that’s been there for 100 of years and over the last twenty years when MSU has won a few games at the Big House and NOT one player on MSU got jumped. Let that sink in

I just watched that the other day. It was Denard Robinsons helmet they twisted. Can still find it on RUclips
Not sure why he let Mel off the hook. When it's that many players involved its a culture problem. "Attitude reflects leadership, Captain"
The visible anger on his face is telling man. Such bush league that this happened.
You can tell he wants to rip those "journalists" for their baiting questions about excuses and the other coach.

You are so beyond delusional it isn’t even fair. 🤭
Thank you coach harbuagh. Our society has been increasingly becoming more violent and encouraging of this behavior. It's great to hear coach condemn it and demand accountability.
All those evolved in this should be done playing collegiate football and no longer be at the university.
Michigan should raise funds for a Michigan Armed Force to protect
Michigan players and staff from Sparty.
I got to agree with Jim on this one. It just sick.
MSU lacks character
If it's open and shut why does there need to be a timely investigation.
It is time to stop this series. MSU takes this "hate week" way more serious than they need to. Move MSU to the West and bring Purdue to the East. Play MSU every 6 years or so.

This whole event should fire up the Wolverines to win the next five or six straight years especially if Mel is still coaching there.
I can't speak about anyone else's involvement in this beyond the players.
No matter what the culture or environment of MSU football is, those players made a decision to act how they chose to act and will be held accountable.
Personally I don't think a coach or staff should be held accountable but that decision is not up to me.

Michigan sucks
Michigan should take some responsibility here as well. I'm not condoning the violence here, but this was the 3rd tunnel incident just this year. Plus the Michigan player ran ahead of his team to get in the middle of the MSU team. Accept some responsibility here.
I am not a fan of Tucker . Did Sabans MSU team act like this . ? I dont think so.
So losts of folks doing nothing but watching!!

Why would you need audio? It's a fight not a concert.
Theres NO WAY "They didn't know"
Its ashame they just ruined it for so many especially themselves.

Altercations in the last 2 games in the tunnel. They have to get that situation fixed. Whether it's in the off-season or further down the line.
Penn State stopped and refused to go in their locker room, James Franklin orchestrated the whole thing. MSU players kick punch and swing helmets at players while outnumbering them. The problem is other schools cant take a beating, not a tunnel that has been the same way since the stadium was built.
How many years has the tunnel been in place…? but NOW it’s an issue??? Other teams need to learn how to handle defeat.
95 years players have been walking down that tunnel. Maybe they need better protocols going forward but there is no excuse for what happened. It's not the tunnels fault sparty players gang assaulted a UM player. The only thing that would have justified what happened is if the UM player pulled out a knife.

At least all those accounts took place on the field between the lines. Let's just hope MSU shows some accountability.

When will UM fix this? Put up a divider, more staff there, different entrance/exit for one of the teams. This is awful behavior by MSU players but this stuff has continued to happen and UM has a lot of blame here.

@@GoBlue8118 Did I say MSU players weren't responsible for their actions? Did I say MSU players shouldn't be disciplined for those actions? Did I say either coach was solely to blame? Tucker has responded with discipline against those players deemed responsible. Law Enforcement and Attorneys will address whether any criminal charges may be made. Harbaugh and Tucker are football coaches; nothing more, nothing less. They are each responsible for the safety of their players. Host school is responsible for safety of players for both teams and fans. If the UM players were injured so severely they couldn't wait 10 minutes to get to the locker room for PT, maybe they should have gone before the game was over. Failure to acknowledge that an at risk environment exists after incidents that have occurred in the past two weeks is short sighted. This would be the case at any Stadium. There may be a point in time where the University may be found liable, and those would be some very deep pockets.
