A prince named Solomon
And the purpose of his life
To him, was still unknown
But one night the Lord came down
And in his dream appeared:
“Solomon, tell me fair and square
What’s your great desire?“
“Lord God”, Solomon replied
“With humbleness I pray,
I wish to have Your wisdom and
To lead your people’s way.”
The Lord is my good Shepherd,
I trust Him and obey,
He is my loving Father

The Lord was pleased with his request,
It Brought Him great delight
Made Solomon rich, and strong, and wise
Discerning wrong and right.
With thankful heart, the king then built
A temple for the Lord
A place to pray and worship God
To seek His Holy Word.
The Lord showed Solomon that He
Was good and merciful
And then He taught the king to rule
And lead His people through!

The second time the Lord came
And spoke to the king again
He promised that His presence
Will guide him and remain.
If Solomon would follow
Obeying God’s commands,
His life will be forever
Protected in His hands.

He promises to guide your steps,
And lead you every day!
