I still run the 3.0 in an 1988 pickup. The truck has 400,000 and the motor was replaced 66,000 miles ago. Nice video! It got me excited about taking the Toy out and about.

I just had to redo my Auto Zone water pump after 7 months so I bought the Toyota one for $270. I have a 93 4 runner with the 3.0 5 speed. Just did everything behind the timing cover including new harmonic dampner, cam seals, front main seal idler and tensioner pulleys new thermostat everything is only 7 months old. I won't put cheap parts on it anymore. Doesn't make sence to cheapen the most reliable rig in history almost and take away it's reliability. But they will work in a pinch. They wanted $350 for the tensioner and idler at Toyota.

Can you please explain more about testing of the fuel rail? Are you testing to see if the fuel rail is free flowing pushing fuel out to the small diaphragm hose and catching the fuel into the water bottle? Can you also check to see if all the injectors spraying fuel freely into the air using this test as well? Thank you

can you start the engine from under the hood without having to go to inside the car and turn the ignition key? touching wires from the starter?. I am trying to see if there is spark from my plug wire. My truck is not running after my valve job

I saw you had the silicon/rubber and metal gasket for your waterpump. Did you put RTV on that as well? I am replacing mine along with the #2 idler as well for my 1992 toyota 4runner and the Hanes manual says either use the provided gasket or use RTV not both? What are your thoughts?
