Well, mine is actually waterproof. It fell in my bathtub while I was filling it and stayed there for quite a while until I realized it. It works like a charm.
Yesterday i put my P30 lite in water for all night, just tested. And today in the morning i take it out from water and i was shocked, its still working. Sound, mic etc was working very well, its really water resist. Because when i tested IPhone X, its dead after 1 minute. So anyway Huawei is the Best phones right now on the planet. Wanna good Phone? Buy Huawei!
Mine dropped in washing machine and washed for 2 minutes and died even till now it's not gonna work even i sent it to repair shop and he said it's power ic got damaged and it can't be found lol

I dropped mine into water basin with full of water in a few minutes cause I got shocked after it drops cause that was given to my father and I found out that it still works and does not have a error from it and I also directly put it in the rice, so the water inside that gets through in will gone
At the end of this test, we learned that the phone can be washed :) The important thing is how many meters deep and how much water pressure it is resistant to. This test did not meet any of these. There was a video showing that it can still be washed. We thank you.

Water resistance is not the same as waterproof. Water resistance is an example: when it rains and falls on your phone and nothing happens to it(Phones without w resistance and waterproof will be have 50% chance to destroy) it is water resistance. If you have water resistance on your phone, your phone will be destroyed if you do what he did in video. Waterproof is what you showed in the video. It is waterproof when you put the phone in water and nothing happens to it. I hope that people will not destroy 330 euros. Like, Sorry for my English.
I also made this with my old huawei p30 lite, after an hour i got red stripes on the display. I put it in rice for 1 night and the next morning it was working again. So this could survive a drop in the water but dont try it if its your only phone

I got hit by the sea waves with the p30 lite and it still works. Also I was catched two times by the rain with my phone in my pocket and it still worked. Very good phone but I wouldn't recommend to stay close by water with it, just to prevent some incidents.
mine p30 LITE was now at this right moment underwater, i accidentally dropped it in my bath full of hot water with NO soap or whatever, only clean hot water, and it takes about two sec to take it out of water, and phone is totally OK wow

Few hour back my boy dropped my huawei P30 lite cell into a water bucket (lightly dirty of home ground), then within 3-5 mints I switched off and kept into a uncooked rice for 30 mints after that switched on to check again,,, saw a small part of watery shade at lower left corner,, then after using the same phone I talked with provider for a while but feeling messaging sounds were changed and lighting on screen getting up-down like short circuit.. Then again I switched off and kept kept into a uncooked rice for 2 and half hours,, then again switched on and had seen watery shade almost 75% of the screen,,, though mobile was running but messaging sounds were changed and lighting on screen getting up-down like short circuit.. I was then scared about to damage my set and time is very crucial for corona.. I will be then disconnect from all.. then again i put out the sim and memory and keeping the mobile set into a uncooked rice... can anybody help me giving a authentic idea to solve the problem in home.. because I can not go out in this corona circumstances...
Dont do that. its not wateroroof, in fact there is not such thing as A WATERPROOF smarthphone, only WATER RESISTANCE wich effectiveness will eventually degrade with use.

I dropped m'y phone into water. I shaked it, i charged it, i even put a dryer on it. And then I put in inti rice for 16 hours wihtout remove anything. But to god be the glory it's still working. It's a very Nice Phone. There is water into the back caméra but i think it Will drie. Thé digital touch doesn't work anymore and There is some water on the screen. But It's perfectly working. And put it under sun, it help a lot
