Well it sure looked like a pretty successful camping trip! That was neat the Ranger gave the boys books. Boy oh boy! the bacon was a big hit with Israel lol! Sam is such a cutie he talks with those eyes. I was so hoping Israel would have caught a fish. All three vlogs were so well done and super enjoyable to watch. The music was a great touch. It was like watching a movie.❤️👍
I remember us camping many times as you all are doing...such wonderful memories. Now, we are 75 and our son will be 50 in December and all of our memories with family now in their 60's and becoming Grandparents and also having best friends camping with us. Some of the best and precious memories of our lives!!! Thanks for the memories again and again. Love you guys!!! By the way...how far along are you Jill...you look great!
Loved "being" camping with you four up in Buffalo National River!! I am sure this mini vacation will be a special memory for life for all 4 of you to talk about for many, many years specially as the kids grow up as this was their very FIRST real camping experience! That’s what I loved most about the TLC show. I just finished your book. I’m so sorry for all the negativity you experienced in your life, but it was refreshing to see how you have a very balanced view of the situation and how much you truly love your family at the end of the day. You never once characterized them as bad people, you just took issue with a lot of their poor behavior towards you. I pray you and your parents can work through your issues and have a healthy relationship. God bless!

Isn't it great to go camping...I miss my dad who I list this year but we went camping every year since I was a child and he's the best cook the best...clam chowder nobody could make it like him
Sam Sam is so cute. He always makes me smile. Looks like a fun family get away. When I was a kid we used to travel from Oklahoma to go camping every Summer in the Ozarks of Missouri at a Mill called Dawt Mill (which was, and still is, a camping area along side the river). It was so much fun.
Whenever you go camping Jill always have an alternative cereal or yogurt and granola. Our fires alway seemed to have more issues in the morning due to dew and not enough time for the sun to dry. Helpful hint also put your am firewood in the car wrapped in an old sheet all night. If you use dryer sheets save your used ones along with paper towel or tp (if you use the Sam’s Club Pom brand put the outside paper wrap in center) rolls make great starters to start fire place or campfires. Easy to save these everyday items year round and it saves the land fields a bit. Looks like everyone had a blast.
Watching your family camping trip was heart warming and the interactions between you and Derrick and the way you speak to and respect Israel and Sam is just awesome! I have been subscribed for awhile but your camping trip has made me a solid fan and continuous viewer! We are leaving July 23'rd on a car camping trip with a 15 week old Dutch Shepherd (wish us luck) from Wisconsin, my husband's home state where we chose to retire, to Texas to see my mom, siblings, our sons and grandchildren... all our family and friends. We go through Arkansas and will think of you when we are spending night there.

What a wonderful camping trip! Israel will be doing criss cross apple sauce and double dutch before you know it! Before we moved to Halifax we lived in a small town. the town deer was like no other. Truro had a hunting thing on them to help with the population the last few years urban deer they call them. I have pictures and a video of an albino deer. It was so cool to see. They're not even afraid of people in Truro.
Jill, dear you should get one of those table clothes for those tables (you would be amazed and grossed out to see what some people do to and on those tables)just an ounce of prevention for safety and sanity😎

Edit: you made it yayyy I hope you hike to the waterfall. Kyles landing def tests your breaks lol it's straight down hill and our breaks started smoking just going down. It was scary because it's a huge mountain youre driving down. Gonna finish watching the video now and see if you go there.
Aw what a fun family holiday. We went on holiday recently here in Scotland and our dog was the same when we got home and picked him up! So excited to see us and his brothers were super excited too. I have 4 boys xx
Not trying to be critical but if you put several pieces of paper towel on the plate & then put the Bacon on it then you don't have to stand so long waiting for grease to drain off the Bacon.

We used to go camping when I was a kid I loved it We used to go to Spearfish in South Dakota, Tetons in Wyoming then on to Big Horn Mtns in Montana
