Someone finally heard my calls for help. You are a life saver man. You have no idea how long I've been waiting for someone to suggest a base for build 42.
You should have DEFINITELY included the McCoy Estate here. Originally owned by John McCoy of the McCoy Logging Company and located North of Muldraugh (turn west at the Dixie Crossroads and turn left after the first bend onto a dirt road, it's also labelled on the spawn map), it boasts a huge log cabin with all sorts of B42 stuff: primitive furniture of animal pelts and sticks, a yard and workshop loaded with EVERY new crafting station (even the ones not implemented yet), a big garden already stacked with plants to use the new farming system, direct access to a massive lake to try the new fishing minigame, and a chicken range for livestock (chickens not included)! Problems are that the dirt road to get there is pretty long and will need to be maintained if you want to keep access to town, it might take to a while to even GET to town, and that you'll have to clear out a bunch of zombies on the property (I guess John had a party or something just before things went bad).
You could go over locations that are actually usable thanks to b42, either because they were overhauled or because they're no longer on the edge of the map. The abandoned factory that's now outside of brandenburg comes to mind.
I found the oVo farm whilst exploring and considered it a good base location for a future playthrough, having already set-up in a farm house further out of town. I'm glad someone else considers it a must-try! That fallout-shelter in March Ridge looks tempting too...
I haven't played in a while and Im absolutely having a blast playing this build. Cant wait for the awesome mods to come out. I tried the Ovo farm and I didnt like the kitchen (lol) I seem to be stuck on Cortmans Medical in Muldraugh. The building is perfect for me. Just the house I havent used the clinic yet.
It's strange you mentioned the gas station in Echo Creek but didn't mention it as a good place to live. It's very big, has a gas pump connected (duh) and is close to many useful places.

You gotta work on that brain of yours son, can't go far without imagination.

good script paired with a nice voice and nice pronunciation. We will watch your career with great interest.
Finally the video I was looking for... I keep looking for a good base, all I keep finding is hordes
bro i would love a part two thanks !!
personally the last one seems the coolest once the rest stuff comes in as u mentioned.
that said as it is now i probably choose the chicken farm atm..
Good video. Your mic volume kept changing, but that's my only complaint.
The Strip Club across the West Point bridge is a perfect base.

McCoy Manor is absolutely insane

Haha, are you a real estate agent? Anyways, love the vid, keep up the good work!
I think a generator is always guaranteed to spawn in the center of echo creek
are the basements multi level or just one level down?
Don't make your base into a basement just yet because when power goes out you'll be in complete darkness. Generators don't work underground yet.
I find it annoying that you can't pry open garage doors/doors anymore
Henllo, are you undah the watah ?
Yes you weren't even in my search build 42 maps nothing was.
