Over the 5 years Arthur smith has been an OC his #2 WRs have averaged only 40 targets, 500 yards and 2 TDs all season. You’re telling me Van Jefferson or CA3 can’t accomplish that? WR is not a Must Have pick. I would like to see them draft a WR like Rice or Mccaffery in the later rounds.

Go Mims, Pearsall, Van Pran, Rice, and Defense with the rest

I’m personally hoping for either Mims, Latham. I would also be okay with Nate Wiggins even though I don’t think it’s gonna happen. Also I want Ricky Pearsall round two and Luke McCaffrey on day 3.

going right tackle in the first is totally fine, but they'd likely have to trade up from 51 to ensure they get a starting caliber center.

linebacker is second as far as developmental positions go. Drafting a LB not for this year or even next year but the following year is the difference between that position, and guard, TE etc.

Corner is not the greatest need but Quinyon Mitchell is the player that can make the biggest difference in the quality of this roster. The thing about taking Barton and Frazier is if Barton doesn't work at tackle then you need two tackles because DM65s contract is up. I think that they have to get a starting tackle because DM65 won't be here next year

Mitchell did not play press coverage in college, so, yeah, he would be a perfect fit for the soft Stillers secondary. #8-8-1

Graham Barton played 5 collegiate games at Center and 34 games at LT. His freshman year he started at Center then moved to LT the following 3 seasons.
And Steelers cannot ignore the WR position. Not only will there be 7 WRs drafted ahead of the Steelers but also there are sooooooo many teams that already have 2 good to elite WR duos. (Vikings, Bengals, Browns, Jets, Bears, Rams, Texans, Lions, Eagles, Seahawks, 49ers, Titans) Steelers are wayyyyyy behind the 8 ball at WR now.

The Steelers don't value scoring points, more than they value shortening the game, getting to 3rd down, by running the ball, unfortunately. The NFL is about scoring offensive points by passing the ball, getting the lead, then running the ball while you have a lead to close out games.
Yes, Steelers archaic approach to offensive football is fan frustrating

Barton is Kendrick Green's illegitimate brother. #8-8-1

I get that the Yinzer media has to suck up to the Stillers coaches and front office to remain in good stead, but I don't buy that Omar Con is a "very good general manager" as Al claims here. Win the AFC North and at least one playoff game, and I'll consider it. This is a last-place team until further notice. #8-8-1

Latham or Fuaga 1st and BPA at center 2nd. Finish building this offensive line !!

I think a lot of people are being dismissive about Steelers fans over valuing the center position. It’s not as simple as we’re spoiled at the C pos so much we overvalue it. Maybe there are a lot of intelligent Steeler fans who have seen the importance of a great center because we’ve been blessed with many and actually watch them play and be able to ascertain that a great C makes the whole line better . A great C doesn’t need help and say for instance in that case Seleamalu can help Dan Moore more every play if need be 😉 . They’ve seen that Leveon Bell was a world beater running behind Pouncey and Decastro and fell off the edge of the earth after he left. They’ve seen Dawson pulling smashing fools and dominating being the only really good piece on that old line . Maybe they’ve experienced the affect an intelligent C has on the whole game . Maybe they noticed that with a couple greet IOL you can have meh tackles and still dominate I don’t care what the numbers say . Numbers lie and they only tell one aspect of a multi faceted position in a Team game where every pice affects the other and C affects the whole line. This is a major problem in society people relying on numbers and looking to the general consensus because they have no gut instinct and they don’t trust their own thoughts or feelings . This is still a game played by humans and needs to be evaluated by people who don’t run from their own humanity. !

If the Steelers don’t put importance on the Center position then they are going to get what they have had to this point which is mediocrity. It will affect their ability to run the ball well and it will affect their ability in the passing game. The Center must be calling the blocking schemes and he touches the ball on every play. If they didn’t learn from Mason Cole and before him Kendrick Greene then get ready for 9-8, 10-7, or 7-8. A great OLine makes the offense go not a WR and Not a QB. If your line sucks and your QB is great he will not be as effective and likely won’t get through half the season. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Offensive positions that are less valuable than C in the real world not this bullshit number driven perspective . A perspective with no insight , no account for teamwork , or human effort , momentum , inspiration , drive or a multitude of complicated factors to many to get into. The list includes all kickers and LS , Fullback , both guards , arguably RT especially a run blocking specialist type . WR 2 (no matter how good how many plays do they even get or affect . RB 2 same as WR 2 and TE unless you have a like top 5 guy .
