Congratulations to you and Dorsey on the continuation of the business relationship and its successful path. You being on the ground for securing with the new trailer is a wonderful aspect of this swap and a very good investment in your longevity. It’s tough to lose a pet, a traveling companion and a friend.
Lost my last one a few months ago.To l d myself I wouldn't get another but couldn't hold out.Went to the shelter and got an Anatolian shepherd.Hes. a LOT bigger than my previous pups, but he's a bigsweetheart who loves everyone. So sorry about Calllie, she seemed to be a good one.
Sad to hear that Callie passed away. I always enjoyed watching her traveling with you. That said, there's just nothing like a Corgi! Happy and Safe travels Dan and Baily. Enjoy the new Dorsey step deck.
Dan keep an eye on those railroad crossings with those ramps on there! Or be dadgum sure there's no trains a comin'!..😳😲😱🛤🚂😁👍 And sorry to hear about Cali! I know how it is to lose a pet! My prayers are with you, and Teresa!...🥹😢💔🙏🏼
Very Sorry for your Loss, Dan & Family. 🙏 They’re NOT Like a Member of the Family but a Full Fledged Equal Member of the Family. ALL Pet Lovers know this Fact. 🙏
Dan, Bailey was doing her security work at the end of your video grumbling looking out the window behind you, she's on the job protecting your new trailer, her toys & food bowl! Glad you happy with your new setup. Good luck & be safe in your travel & sorry about Kallie passing, Trucker Josh's long time dog Diesel passed away this past weekend too, he was 13+ years old. Trucking with Schmidt's dog Opie is over 12 years old now I believe.
One thing that impresses me is just how clean you are. Also how you care for all of your equipment. Take care of your equipment and it will take care of you.
Fourteen years was a good run for Kallie. Enjoy that step deck. Dorsey is a good partner for you Dan. Give Bailey a belly rub for me and y'all stay safe.
Good luck with the new trailer sorry to hear about your loss very difficult to lose a pet. I’ve had many pets and I’ve about to lose another one. That’s very sick. It’s not easy being a pet owner. They give us many years of joy and it’s always sad at the end, but again, my condolences😢
G'day Dan, and Teresa! I am very sorry about Kallie... "Pets bring so much happiness, and unconditional love to our lives, that it can be truly heartbreaking when they pass." What a special dog, and good companion too! Thank you! Cheers! 🚛❤
Another plus that I always liked about stepdecks is, with the load lower to the ground, you get better fuel mileage. So sorry to hear about Callie. She was a good dog.
Sorry for your loss pet's are family. Congratulations Dorsey trailers partnership is a benefit for both of your businesses.. You always pack so much interesting informative information in all your videos. You and your co-driver have a most wonderful day 😊
Congratulations Dan brilliant you deserve what you’ve got from hard work. Good to remind us that it is a difficult life on the road when you are married Stay safe and healthy 🌵⭐️🇬🇧👍
Safe Travels & remember there’re some railroad crossings you won’t be able to use anymore w/the step deck. So sorry to hear abt your furbaby, we do love them tremendously & would move Heaven and Earth for them. As you may recall, I lost my last one in mid May while I was rehabbing my first knee replacement; he was the last of three, the middle one passed away a smidge over 16 years. It’s been waaay too quiet since then & am abt ready to adopt another buddy or two. Be mindful & supportive of Bailey as she’ll look for Kahalli when you return home. Give ❤❤❤Miss Bailey❤❤❤ extra hugs, smooches, & scratches behind each ear over the next few days, she may sense something is ‘wrong’ w/you dealing with/your loss.
Hi Dan and Bailey. Sorry to hear about out Kallie. Having hauled step-deck trailers I knew you would be happy with being able to work without a ladder while securing your load than with the flat bed. The sound of your truck when the rear cameras are on is awesome. Stay safe.
Sad to hear the passing of Kallie. Been following you from the early videos and remember her from your travels. Losing her even 2000 miles away must be hard. She was a good friend. Safe trip Kallie.
You also can use the ramps as load leveler and have a 53 foot deck and haul steel or other long freight with the step deck. Step deck is easier to secure and easier for covering with tarp loads. Many loads will only require the lower part of the floor space for hauling freight. I leave the rear axle slid forward when freight is not loaded the full length of the trailer. The obviou reason being the easier turning when making tighter turns. Securing the loads on step deck is just easier because of the lower to the ground advantage.
My Bailey (Belgian Shepard) says HI! to your Bailey. My son ditched in a snow storm yesterday but stayed upright. Company owner suggested shortcut that didn't work out . Shows that "due diligence" is always part of the job. I'm retired USAF and get frequent Thank You's for my service. I almost always respond "its appreciated" and add please thank First Responders and Truckers, when you see them, as well. Love the trailer and continued prayers for you, wife and . family.
Congrats on the new trailer. We are currently dealing with our wonderful dog in its last days here on earth. It’s extremely hard. Brings back memories of the last two dogs we had. Prayers
The new trailer is looking great, Dan. Sorry to hear of Kallie's passing. People that don't have pets, find it hard to understand what a loss of a one can mean. Hope Teresa is coping, as that is a traumatizing thing to go through. Best of luck with the new trailer & stay safe.
Back in the late 80's early 90's I worked for Viking freight systems, I was an assigned P&D driver and during the holiday season I did combo driving (terminal to terminal) when man power was low. Our tractors were assigned to us. Viking did the same thing when inspections were due, we drivers were responsible for keeping everything in check, we had a massive tractor and trailer shop on site, although the equipment was regularly maintained,we were held responsible for keeping the tractors in D.O.T. inspections passing conditions. The company also would invite the C.H.P. commercial inspectors into the terminal on the weekends to have a free for all on the equipment, we were never pulled off the highway into a CHP inspection point, we were always waved through. Viking was serious about freight transit times. When Viking told a shipper or consignee that the shipment will arrive at a given time, they meant it. In the year 2000 or there abouts, FedEx bought Viking and renamed it "FedEx freight" that Turner over was the end of a company that really gave a shit. I am sorry for your loss Dan and Teresa, my prayers are with you both. Drive safe Dan, great video as always!🤠👍
The New Dorsey looks great Dan I am sure it will serve you well . I am saddened to hear of Kallies passing ..She must have been a great companion on your long periods away from home..
Hello Dan, I see you made it home for Veterans Day! Thank you for your service. Saw the truck and the new trailer going thru Benson this morning on a west bound Z-train around 9 am looked very nice. Mark McKenna Tucson, AZ
Dan, the more miles you can pull your new Dorsey trailer with the tandems closed, the less tire wear, and the more maneuverability you have. Good luck with the new step deck.
Dan Dan the professional step deck man. Boy the step and the Pete sure look good together. I myself will take a step over a flat any time. Everything is so much easier. Especially top heavy loads. They ride so much better. I really like the low pro version on the step. Yup bring a spare for sure as some tire shops do not stock the smaller tire size. In a month from now you will only want to pull a step, especially getting older you want things easier. Sorry to hear about the dog passing. Pour Teresa , loosing a friend is never easy, don’t matter if it’s a two or four legged version. RIP Kallie. Well Daniel, another great video, thanks for posting. Have a great and a safe day. Happy trails to you Mr Step Deck Dan, D…
I love that cute little Bailey, and I'm sorry about the pother doggie

Thanks fir sharing, the 'Welcome to Loves ' made me LOL
Thanks for the vid, sorry to hear about Kallie, stay safe!
Sorry for your loss Dan. We had to put one of our Huskies down last May. We now have a new addition. A black English Lab puppy named Zoey.
Dan, the more miles you can pull your new Dorsey trailer with the tandems closed, the less tire wear, and the more maneuverability you have. Good luck with the new step deck.
Your scale ticket shows 31,340 on spread trailer axles. Closed might add 250 to each axle, so each would weigh 16,000 (certainly legal)
