This song speaks to my soul on a singular level okay. Unfortunately I find it really hard to make these ed vidoes without voiceovers, just cause without the quotes about the struggle i only come across as a "emo/eating disorder/trigger type" which is not the case at all. It also appears way less cringy when i have meaningful and relatable quotes, but hey, each line is this song is quotable so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Dont laugh but first time i heard this song i almost started crying (lol) Again sry if its cringy ppl, but i support recovery in every single way and this topic is not taken lightly by me. Also it's just not my fault that the general portration of ed's in movies / shows are super steriotypical and thats all i have to work with. I'm just trying to make something with what im given. Also lets take amoment to appreciate that i finally found two characters with eating disorders that arn't girls. (rant complete)
When I was a little girl, I never thought I'd ever live like this....depressed. I never thought I'd be the "1in a hundred" or whatever the stats are. I always pictured a great teenage life for myself, yeah I knew I'd go through challenges but not with self harm, ed, sui or depression. I hv an idea of how everyone here is feeling, and please guys let's not lose hope. Let's hang in there. Sounds cliche but believe or not, it's possible to recover from all this. Happiness is possible...U just hve to keep fighting for it

I watch ED videos when I have the most urge to restrict because for me it's a reminder how hard it is, how lonely it was, how *cold* I always felt, and those are things I do not miss but even still I miss parts of the way things were before my ED became so apparent, and all of the beliefs I'd grown to trust would protect me, like(TW warning): If I get full on the first half portion of my meal (being protein and vegetable) then I really don't need the rest otherwise I wouldn't feel so full. It made sense to me. Problem is, some days - it still does.

you know i never thought i was gonna be the 13 year old with cuts on her wrist and a failed suicide attempt, i never thought i would constantly think about working out and how to cover the sounds of my puking. i thought i was gonna be happy after getting away from my abusive father with my twin sister and mother, but instead i wasn’t, i used to be so confident what happened? middle school? was it my best friends leaving me? who am i fighting? wait maybe it’s myself....
i have gotten used to the hunger, it’s starting to get really hard to eat anything without feeling like i ate too much even if i have had a cup if tea or just gum. this is a fucking hellhole.

we see “overweight” people and laugh at them saying they got themselves in that situation. we see an anorexic person and hope they get better. but at the end of the day they are both down to the brain. and we just don’t get that

My intension is never to glamorous it, I know it’s a terrible disease, I’ve been through it myself, I just wish ppl would watch this with the write mind and I know not everyone do so I apologizes for that. Srly the last thing I want is to trigger anyone believe me!
