Hello from the UK. These blues lessons are great, so much good stuff in them. Thanks for taking the time to make your videos .Your a great teacher and I like your laid back style. Thanks again.
+guitarsword1 hey I'm so glad to be of help. Making these routines was a lot of fun, expect some new additions in the coming weeks. Thanks for watching, and taking the time to comment. Be well -Rob
Hey Rob, I'm getting into playing this style of solo acoustic blues and I really like how detailed and easy your instructions are to follow along with how polished and easy your presentations are this is critical when learning and continuing the learning process all i can say is Great Job!!!.
+Vince Herrera Hey Vince, thanks for reaching out and offering me some positive feedback. I'll keep these resources coming, both here and on the patreon.com/swiftlessons site. Please consider checking that out if you're interested in additional lessons and resources. If not, all good, keep watching, and please share from time to time. Thanks again. -Rob
I ve seen a lot of blues video guitar tutorials but have never seen so ein great teacher! Thank a lot for your lessons! I think that everyone should be your "patreon"!!! Thanx again.
Great stuff... some of the best lessons on RUclips. Has Routine #5 been taken down? It's the only oneI can't find and my OCD will kick in if I don't learn all 10!
Hmm, if I don't want tabs do you offer the sheet music for this? Either way, great lesson. I'm a broke music student out in LA but when I have some extra cash I will choose a lesson and donate when I can man, cause I use your videos from time to time for references. More theory lessons would be great, and also perhaps using more variety of chord voicings (like shell, drop 2, etc.) Once again, thank you!! Hope you're gigging too bro.
+Diana Talpa Thanks Diana! One tip, even if the whole routine seems out of reach, you may find some success in learning just one small part. Everyone one of these licks, shuffles and turnarounds have valuable applications, and I personally learned them many years apart.
Hey Rob, I'm really getting into playing this style of solo acoustic blues. I'm mainly playing in E. What are some other key (shapes) you would recommend? Also how many turnarounds should I have in my repertoire. There seem to be dozens of different variations. Cool dog btw!
Hey, great questions. Key of E is the most common key, but you'll also see a lot of tunes and techniques for your other natural keys, especially A and C. Practice playing what you have thus far with a capo, as that's the easiest method of playing acoustic blues in other keys. You want to be applying these techniques to your own compositions, and covers, so the more licks and turnarounds you have down the better. In a band setting, make sure your group has coordinating the turnarounds so not to clash. I'll have more of these routines up in other keys and in barred positions ASAP. Thanks so much for watching and reaching out.
Tom, I spend countless hours every week carefully tabbing these lessons out and posting them to my Patreon page. If I had to guess, you probably just didn’t see the download attachment link at the bottom of each post. Trust me, they are there!
Hey thanks for stopping in and taking the time to comment. Many more are on the way, so be sure to subscribe if you haven't done so already. Enjoy your practice. -Rob
+ty Thompson Definitely not, this lesson is not intended for someone with three months of practice! If you're making progress on it, congratulations, I'm very impressed!

Winner of a video, I been tryin to find out about "guitar blues lessons" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Wanichael Corylexander Equalizer - (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my mate got excellent results with it.
I was curious as well, but apparently a lot of people do prefer analog metronomes over digital, for the many of the same reasons as I pointed out in this video. Many of my students have purchased this very nice metronome, and have enjoyed it a lot. It's important to consider that a lot of people, especially Gen X·ers don't really enjoy using their phones for everything. I'm only 30, but also get tired of seeing and hearing everything in a digital format. Glad you enjoyed the lesson.
+swiftlessons But seriously mate. it's about the purpose and the practicality. If you spend all your money and get a vintage Martin guitar with heavenly tone, I'll 1000% support the idea. Metronome is a tool to help keep tempo, you don't even hear it in the end product of music. I personally don't see using a smart phone for things like tuning a guitar or keeping tempo. Just my view. But that metronome has such a good look... i must say

Hey Rob what brand of guitar is that cause that fretboard looks so nice and I have never seen one like it before.
Trying to follow the entire Blues Self series. Unable to locate #5. Am I missing something right under my nose? (If so, i'm sheepishly sorry)

dude, who cares about a metronome being analog these days??? you wasted big part of the video for the metronome. thanks for the lesson though.

I would also support the idea of me getting a vintage Martin that sounds like heaven. That's a great idea haha!
That's such a great answer. Hey, you both have a point. Personally I don't want a phone around when I'm playing guitar. Have a good one.
@@swiftlessons yep ....digital as in anything else has its appeal and limitations 😒
Excellent lesson!
