Thank you! Your method of using rebar and the pvc pipes is fantastic. Especially doable for a senior female.

This growing season, I tried fake snakes in my trees. This got rid of all the animals (birds and rodents). This video gave me a new idea to try when protecting a few of my tropical plants from frost this winter.

Very solid structure! Great idea! You clearly do not share with the animals.

I have a very similar set-up for my blueberry bush. Works like a charm. No birds picking off the berries before I get to them 🙂

it is definitely worth the try. the mesh netting I found very very durable. I had a hard time cutting it. nothing hit my figs!

The birds identify ripening figs. When they find out the tree would be cleaned out overnight. I’ve lived it so many times that I take action for my efforts. I live in a bird infested area.

Bro I don’t care about the birds I just want these big damn wasps to go away so I don’t have to pick them in the rain it’s literally the only time I can pick them is when it’s pouring without risking getting stung

get some organza bags and place them over each fig. Wasp definitely cause havoc over figs. Hope you don’t have to deal with swd.

Not a good idea to cover the whole trees.
What about one tree very large and wide not possible to cover.
To save fig fruit cover or put the bags on those figs which are going to be ripened in day or two.

Nah. Doesn’t work that way. Way too many figs Sonny boy. One net stops all the birds. I make it work any size because I’ve suffered loss year after year . The bird would clean house before I even see one fig. It’s wise not to make the same mistakes
