Y’all are great representatives of the small, family farm. I appreciate your care and concern for the way your animals are raised. I believe happy, healthy, content animals produce the best food in whatever form it comes (meat, eggs, etc..). 👍

We processed ours at 12 weeks, they ended up bigger than the cornish. They were locked in the tractor at night, left to wander as they wanted during the day from about 4 weeks on. Refilled the feed at night, generally by morning it was mostly gone so they would chase bugs, eat grass, do chicken things.

Howdy From the Texas panhandle. What did you say the name of that electric poultry net was? I just ordered some net from Kencove. They claim their top strand is stronger to prevent sagging. First net I ordered came from premier 1. It sags pretty bad after being up for a while. I wish I could just step in my net posts like you are doing, ground not soft enough out here. Have to make a hole in the ground first then stick the spike on the pole in. Our broiler experiment official starts today. 25 chicks arrived this morning, all healthy and alive. We ordered from valley farms. Will be interesting to see if the extra month on those freedom rangers pencils out. Brooklyn makes a pretty good hand!!

Hey! That net was called the shock or not net from premier 1. Good luck with the broilers! Excited for your journey!
