I moved to the US at 41 years on a marriage visa. Instead of going into kyeyo I studied nursing for four years. I got my BSN and worked at a hopsital where I made $41 an hour for 36 hours a week. Nurses work three 12 hour shifts a week to be considered full time. I made about $76,000 a year. I did this for two years. I then went back to do a CRNA for three years. A CRNA is a Masters in nursing with a speciality in Anaesthetics. When I came out as a CRNA I was 50 years old but making about $171,000 a year before adding over time. My friends who went for kyeyo right away are now wishing they had taken my route. There are so many free scholarships for new immigrants. The key to life in America, is school. I am thankful that my wife (who is white) enabled me to focus on school by supporting my financially. I forgot to add, she is 5 years younger than me and we have three kids now.

Kyeyo is okay for those above 40yrs if you come with papers.i.e through marriage, skilled worker visas. For those who come in other routes it's difficult. But you still gather capital and do business in Uganda. It's takes proper to succeed.

Thanks for the great advise but everyone has their own journey, may be people should not go after 50yrs but below 50, i think one should try his or her own luck.

Shes right because when I came to England In 1994 the energy I had is different to 2024. I did some chambermaid roles, packing etc at hotels and it was very physical, now am an Educator which is a different role and not exhaustive.

She talking from her own experience so people shouldn’t blame her cos it’s her journey. Everyone’s journey is different and yields different results.

THIS IS MIS LEADING INFORMATION, I MOVED TO THE USA AT 45YRS AND WHAT I HAVE ACHIEVED IN FIVE YEARS IS UNBELIEVABLE I WOULD HAVE NEVER GOT THEM IF I STAYED HOME WORKING FOR 1.6M MONTHLY. I OWN PROPERTIES AND LAND IN A SHORT TIME. I CAME IN 2019.. I ADVISE IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU WANT AND HAVE THE CHANCE JUST COME!! AGE IS JUST A NUMBER.

Age should not define ability. Europe is looking for skills even of 60 years!

40yrs is not old, that's mature age.otherwise retirement would be at 40yrs but 65yrs.
