the last words were simple and powerful. it costs nothing to pay homage. it costs nothing to show gratitude. and the goal is to always try to pay it forward. i randomly discovered this podcast as i became frustrated with the complex sneakers podcast and how inconsistent its become. and what i found here is something more real and authentic. authenticity matters in the game.
as someone who stutters and stammers, shout the fuck out TO NELSON for this interview. You have no idea how stressful it is to speak on a phone/microphone when you stammer.
i left a comment on ig this summer when i went to round two nyc in august, explaining how these shopping experiences sometimes put a sour taste in your mouth due to the lack of customer service, or people feeling they are "too cool" to help. but when i went nell.sonn's customer service, cool, calm attitide & demeanor made us feel welcomed, chill & invited. he's a good person & i hope he lands where he wants & is wanted, needed & appreciated. the world is full of fucked up individuals with ugly attitudes, it's time for the good guys to fucking shine...
you guys inspiring me so much. gonna start taking my reselling to a whole different level. round two LA was my first time ever going into a resell store back in 2016. have been in love with hypewear since then. had such a positive experience and all of you guys are my role models
This was a great watch, keep killing it. The fit breakdowns are cool maybe put a mic on dude so he can explain. I liked how Bris gave his little constructive criticism on the 1213 hoodie, that’s a good friend. Fav fit for sure was Bris, it always comes down to good denim. As a listener when roundtwo employees are on I would love to hear a question like ‘who was the coolest you remember coming in the shop?’ Stuff like that, but this is a great podcast and I’m excited for more!
The thing about Round Two was that all good things come to an end. A lot of their employees left and went onto open their own stores, online stores, got new careers. Everyone seemed to move away from working retail. I'm sure they figured, "shit, im real good at this, I can do this on my own and make bread". At the end of the day everyone wants to be their own boss and it seemed as if the workers weren't getting back all that they gave to the job. On a good day, Round 2 was making 30-40k on a weekend and some employees are making 20.00 an hour? Doesn't add up.
@@PilsenDon not in california. 1 bedroom shitty studio is near 2k, then you have taxes which are super high out here, gas, utilities, etc. it all adds up. 20 an hour is nothing. probably good for the Virginia store lol life is cheap out there.

I’d really like to know what all of these Round Two spin off stores will do differently to stand out amongst all these stores goin under. No hate intended.
Also wanna say y’all are so genuine and I wish I went into R2 nyc more and gotten to know you guys. I always wanted to be apart of the r2 nostalgia for years and work there, and now working at a different snkr shop in the city I feel I get to live out that dream that R2 created. I’m glad syndicate is doing their own thing and thriving
I work at StockX not gonna say which but it’s in the south and it ain’t what it seems my guy you would think a billion$ company would be exciting and have lots of opportunity but it’s not more like a high school literally
i'll never forget how nelson and bris blessed me @ round 12. best cop ever was when bris blessed me on off white Euro 1s. pandemic-post pandemic on stanton was a movie. shot but amazing times. shit was straight timeless. appreciate you both -@theprincealy

Yo bris needs to slow down and let things flow organically.
Nah Bris is the man, he keeps the energy & conversation going w these podcasts
