The travel music (the train ride here, and in other vids the taxi time, etc.) is just wonderful; I always enjoy it. The tune is relaxing and peppy at the same time. And yes, I thoroughly enjoy the airport interiors and transfer walks, etc., because it is a part of travelling!

Taipei-Taoyuan International Airport is perhaps one of my favorite airports. Been there about 8 times for layovers. Love all the themes, the shopping, and people were so nice.

When I went in July 2019 I didn't need to fill out immigration forms (US citizen), not sure if that's a new thing. First two things I always do upon arrival at the airport is getting a prepaid SIM card for my phone so I have access to Internet, then exchange cash. A lot of street food vendors only take cash. it's harder to get exchange cash outside airport. You could find a bank and withdraw cash, but there may be a fee associated with that anyway.
Hi there Daniel, glad to hear that! Some of those walks can be rather long, luckily we are used to them (it also gives a good stretch for the legs after a long flight). We were also impressed by the scenery coming into the city, riding the train gave some lovely views on our way into Taipei. We can honestly say that Taipei has become one of our favorite Asian cities to visit, it was a fantastic place to visit (more of our Taipei Travel Videos are on the way). Damn I missed Taiwan. Unfortunately, I can't even travel back since I am an Ex-worker in Taipei. Even I applied for a Tourist type of Visa will eventually going to fail me since it is their law. I went there slim, and I went home with good body built and skin tone too. The climate there compared to where I reside was incomparable. Thank you for this video, Unforgettable memories.

I been to a Taipei airport twice before when I first visited Phnom Penh, Cambodia back in May 2014. I arrived from Seattle to Taiwan to Cambodia then I returned back home from Cambodia to Taiwan to Seattle.

Welcome to Taiwan (R.O.C.)!! Taipei and Taoyuan are different cities! It's more convenient than before from Taoyuan city to Taipei city. It will be great that there is an international airport in Taipei!! (Songshan airport in Taipei city is good and has MRT as well, but not many international flights land here) ~ It's a small beautiful country full of beautiful people and it's the heart of Asia~ (Strongly recommend you two major Taiwanese airliners: Eva airlines & China airlines ("note: not that China")Both of them are safe and have high quality services, you guys can try it)^^ Welcome!

The youyou card (20:00) is the way to go.. even though the card itself cost NT100 that's really only 3USD. And it's so convenient, you don't need to waste time buying fare tokens eat time you get on MRT, plus I believe the fare is cheaper with the card vs the single fare ticket tokens. And if you have credits remaining when you are about to leave Taiwan, you can use it at convenience stores to buy snacks and drinks
Enjoying this video again , when you depart the aircraft do you still get that excitement feeling especially if it’s a new country you’re visiting . I always feel it lol

We flew twice with China Airlines from Schiphol to bkk in business (We got a great deal). We were super impressed, it was jaw dropping. Went back a third time, no deals available so we travelled in economy. Generally the flight was ok but my overriding memory of this flight was when a flight attendant told me, as she served me my III Heineken over a two hour period, that for safety reasons I must know wait a period of one hour before requesting any more alcohol. I thanked her and asked her if the purser was available. In the nicest possible fashion I asked the person if it was safer to travel in business class than in economy is there I had no trouble requesting a drink and the any request was welcomed rather than challenged. She apologized and said that's the company did have a policy I then asked if it's a question of cost then I'd happily pay at which point she said there is no need to pay but! Some 4 hours later after 3 failed attempts to sleep I was challenged yet again.

Yet another fantastic video. It made me angry, not at you two, but at the really badly designed terminal making you walk and walk and walk. The pea brain who designed such a punishment needs to be publicly shamed and never allowed to design another terminal again. Also, lots of really rude, self centred passengers pushing in while departing aircraft and on walkways. I’m 75 and find this ridiculous. I usually fly first or business and get wheeled everywhere just so I don’t have to succumb to marathon treks and rude people. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to your Taipei adventures. We have become so used to these airport walks that we do not even notice how long they are anymore. That being said, people with walking disabilities will need to organize some form of mobile transport for themselves at this airport and actually most other large international airports. People can be rude and selfish, but we believe it boils down to the fact that most people are so exhausted after a Long Haul flight that the normal etiquette is just forgotten ;-) We had a wonderful time in Taipei (just too short) and will begin uploading Taipei Travel videos in the near future! Regarding the hike to arrivals -think of it as a chance to really stretch your legs after a long flight. I'm sure the Taipei Taoyuan airports authority had the same thought.

The travel music (the train ride here, and in other vids the taxi time, etc.) is just wonderful; I always enjoy it. The tune is relaxing and peppy at the same time. And yes, I thoroughly enjoy the airport interiors and transfer walks, etc., because it is a part of travelling!

Taipei-Taoyuan International Airport is perhaps one of my favorite airports. Been there about 8 times for layovers. Love all the themes, the shopping, and people were so nice.

When I went in July 2019 I didn't need to fill out immigration forms (US citizen), not sure if that's a new thing. First two things I always do upon arrival at the airport is getting a prepaid SIM card for my phone so I have access to Internet, then exchange cash. A lot of street food vendors only take cash. it's harder to get exchange cash outside airport. You could find a bank and withdraw cash, but there may be a fee associated with that anyway.

Damn I missed Taiwan. Unfortunately, I can't even travel back since I am an Ex-worker in Taipei. Even I applied for a Tourist type of Visa will eventually going to fail me since it is their law. I went there slim, and I went home with good body built and skin tone too. The climate there compared to where I reside was incomparable.

I been to a Taipei airport twice before when I first visited Phnom Penh, Cambodia back in May 2014. I arrived from Seattle to Taiwan to Cambodia then I returned back home from Cambodia to Taiwan to Seattle.

Welcome to Taiwan (R.O.C.)!! Taipei and Taoyuan are different cities! It's more convenient than before from Taoyuan city to Taipei city. It will be great that there is an international airport in Taipei!! (Songshan airport in Taipei city is good and has MRT as well, but not many international flights land here) ~ It's a small beautiful country full of beautiful people and it's the heart of Asia~ (Strongly recommend you two major Taiwanese airliners: Eva airlines & China airlines ("note: not that China")Both of them are safe and have high quality services, you guys can try it)^^ Welcome!

Thanks for your video about how to transport from Taoyuan Airport to Taipei city. Very helpful.
The youyou card (20:00) is the way to go.. even though the card itself cost NT100 that's really only 3USD. And it's so convenient, you don't need to waste time buying fare tokens eat time you get on MRT, plus I believe the fare is cheaper with the card vs the single fare ticket tokens. And if you have credits remaining when you are about to leave Taiwan, you can use it at convenience stores to buy snacks and drinks
Enjoying this video again , when you depart the aircraft do you still get that excitement feeling especially if it’s a new country you’re visiting . I always feel it lol

seems like a long walk for you to the MRT.. . it is not very far though.. when the in-charge shouted, MRT, without thought that it is the Commuter train and not the Expresss one..

We flew twice with China Airlines from Schiphol to bkk in business (We got a great deal). We were super impressed, it was jaw dropping.
Went back a third time, no deals available so we travelled in economy. Generally the flight was ok but my overriding memory of this flight was when a flight attendant told me, as she served me my III Heineken over a two hour period, that for safety reasons I must know wait a period of one hour before requesting any more alcohol. I thanked her and asked her if the purser was available. In the nicest possible fashion I asked the person if it was safer to travel in business class than in economy is there I had no trouble requesting a drink and the any request was welcomed rather than challenged. She apologized and said that's the company did have a policy I then asked if it's a question of cost then I'd happily pay at which point she said there is no need to pay but! Some 4 hours later after 3 failed attempts to sleep I was challenged yet again.

Yet another fantastic video. It made me angry, not at you two, but at the really badly designed terminal making you walk and walk and walk. The pea brain who designed such a punishment needs to be publicly shamed and never allowed to design another terminal again. Also, lots of really rude, self centred passengers pushing in while departing aircraft and on walkways. I’m 75 and find this ridiculous. I usually fly first or business and get wheeled everywhere just so I don’t have to succumb to marathon treks and rude people. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to your Taipei adventures. We have become so used to these airport walks that we do not even notice how long they are anymore. That being said, people with walking disabilities will need to organize some form of mobile transport for themselves at this airport and actually most other large international airports. People can be rude and selfish, but we believe it boils down to the fact that most people are so exhausted after a Long Haul flight that the normal etiquette is just forgotten ;-) We had a wonderful time in Taipei (just too short) and will begin uploading Taipei Travel videos in the near future! Regarding the hike to arrivals -think of it as a chance to really stretch your legs after a long flight. I'm sure the Taipei Taoyuan airports authority had the same thought.
