    I was homeless for six years and it honestly was the best thing for someone like me. Yes I got into some bad things but in the end I came out stronger and understood myself more. Now that I’m living inside again I feel like my life is again harder than it was when I was homeless, if I’m to be completely honest. The freedom I had -even though making money was hard and life was dangerous-Not to mention I had to do a lot of things I didn’t want to do to survive out there-life was exciting, every day I had a goal and stuck to it, I could never just have a break day, or sit inside somewhere on a phone or napping, because I always needed something and had to get it. I miss that life.

By the way, you may lose a few subscribers but personally I am tired of all the social media and content creators which appear to be superhuman and never struggle with anything. Hey Dean, I am so sorry to hear you are going through this. I hope you get the help you need soon it honestly sounds like you are depressed and need treatment for that and fast. You could well have other things going on as well but trying to deal with those when you are clearly so down will be even harder. I have been through a lot of depression in my life and I can give you some hope that there is recovery and things can improve with the right help. As other people have said in the comments things will get better. Hang on to this and keep going for those brighter days.

    Dean, thanks for being honest and real. That’s what I’m here for.
    Quick thought, for your appts, can they not be done virtually with your phone? Our daughter deals with anxiety and ADHD and one of the thankful things that came from the pandemic was a lot more virtual support for this sort of stuff.
    The more you talk about this and post this, the more others out there feeling the same will not feel alone.
    It will get better. And it will get worse. But the journey is worth it.
    Keep on, keepin’ on, brother.

      Thanks again John. Talk to you soon.

    Being wired differently than those around you is extremely anxiety producing! I too have never fit in anywhere. What I finally learned when I was 43 years old is that I am autistic. Understanding this has helped me go easier on myself and set expectations accordingly. It’s OK to be different! In fact it’s amazing! I, like you, was also reluctant to take any meds but when I was at my wits end I finally started taking escitalopram and it helped tremendously with anxiety. I love watching your videos and look forward to them. What struck me about you, besides your gentle kindness, is that you seem autistic. This could be a further explanation for your difficulties. Just a thought!

    • @WanderingEyeOutdoorAdventures
      @WanderingEyeOutdoorAdventures 9 месяцев назад +1

      Hello Jennifer. I am in the process of learning to be easier on myself, it is difficult but it is getting easier. There are many things that could be going on with me and yes I suppose autism could be a possibility. I have also suffered several severe concussions that could be a factor contributing to what is going on. I am at the point now where it's more about finding a way to live a live that makes me happy and where I feel appreciated than worrying about being able to put a label on what is "wrong" with me.
      Having said that it is really awesome to hear the experiences of others and what has worked for them. Thank you very much for taking the time to watch my videos and comment. It means the world to me. Take good care

Constant hardship seems to be the life for us. And I agree, the cycling adventures really help me as well. The independence of it all.

She was right.

      now i may only be 23 years old, but i relate to what you are saying so much
      i had some anxious traits ever since i was little, but when i went to highschool it developed into full blown agoraphobia.
      in 2018,i did not set foot outside my house for atleast 6 or 7 months
      but at some point, i just decided that these anxious feelings are not going to stop me from living my life.
      i had near constant panick attacks for over 5 years (i felt panic 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, it would even wake me up 4 or 5 times during the night)
      how i got through it at that time, was pure perseverance. Jump in the Fire if it burns you. get used to the sensation, but know its not harming you,its not dangerous and it will not actually hurt you.
      now im not going to lie, looking back at that time now, it was a super rough time for me, at some point though i realised that my anxiety was no longer just mental, but my whole nervous system was so shot that my brain kept me in fight or flight no matter what i did, i physically could not relax.
      These days i have started a Medication called Elavil. it has alot of uses, but is also off label used for panic disorders. (its normally used to treat migraines, and neuropathic/nerve pain which i also struggled with)
      it was literally like from one day to the next, i felt instant relief.
      some kind of off switch was hit in my brain,and i can proudly say i have only had 1 or 2 panic attacks in the last year, and the intensity of them has dropped way down.
      Now im not saying necesarily that Elavil would be right for you, im just saying that medication can be such such an amazing helping tool once youve found the right one.
      (i took 3 different types of medications before i found this one, and they didnt work for me personally)
      so if they offer you meidcation and after a month or 2 you feel like it doesnt sit right for you, speak up ! theres hundreds of mental health medications available, sometimes you need to try a few things to see what works.

    • @WanderingEyeOutdoorAdventures
      @WanderingEyeOutdoorAdventures 11 месяцев назад +2

      Thank you so much for your insight into your journey and what worked for you. I was totally against taking any medication for many years but my situation only is getting worse and I don't want to let it control me any longer.
      Yes I agree we have to be our own advocates when it comes to medications and I will definitely speak up if I feel it's not right for me.
      Your support means so much to me and I hope we can stay in touch. All the best with your own journey and I'm always glad to talk if you need to. Take good care.

    I don’t know why I was led to your video but I feel led to say that vitamin deficiencies can cause horrible mental health issues. If left too long a vitamin B 12 deficiency can cause permanent psychosis. Doctors today medicate instead of ordering vital and life saving labs. A lot of pharmaceuticals cause even more deficiencies. I was medicated the majority of my life but felt led to go slowly off of all pharmaceuticals. I did one at a time and had to cut the dose myself because pharmaceutical companies don’t help when tapering off of their poisons. I started seeing a functional and integrative medicine doctor five years ago and she helped saved my life. I did acupuncture and she told me to do sublingual(under the tongue) B12 and lemon balm for my panic attacks. I had to continue to be patient, it didn’t work right away but in time it worked miracles. I found out I was also deficient in many other vital minerals and vitamins. You spending time in nature is also so healthy for your mind, body and spirit. Do you ever walk barefoot on Mother Earth? Earthing also helps with anxiety. God please bless, heal and protect you!!🙏🏼❤️

    • @WanderingEyeOutdoorAdventures
      @WanderingEyeOutdoorAdventures 9 месяцев назад +3

      Hello! Thanks for all the wonderful information. I have no doubt I may be B12 deficient and have started taking it as well. Yes I often go barefoot at camp at the end of a riding day, it is very therapeutic indeed. I will keep working on it one day at a time. Thanks for taking the time to comment. All the best to you.

    I absolutely love watching all your videos! I envy you for being able to get out and enjoy the rides! Do not put too much pressure on yourself!
    Mental illness is so common, there are many resources out there that you can tap into! Keep fighting and don’t give up! If riding what helps you cope with your situation then ride and ride your heart out!
    Can you start a “go fund me” and give back to a mental illness charity?
    I do not know how to set it up but I do know a lot of people like to help and is easy to use.

You are free in a way and don't stress out. The ones who loves you they will. The ones who know you are blessed, to see your good intentions in life. We are not perfect we are humans. It sounds like you have been treated wrongly by people around you. I would suggest that that in itself could be the problem. As humans we need support and genuine connections. As we get older and go through things, it becomes clearer how along we've actually been with disrespectful people around us who miss the point because they don't care. Could it be deprivation of tender loving care? Causing you to feel lost?
