With my family at Fulton County Stadium in Atlanta in 1992

- Here I am -- age 15 -- at a Braves game in Atlanta. Fulton County was only the fifth MLB stadium I ever visited, but thanks to this ancient home video (filmed on a VHS-C tape), I remember it well. Sorry about the poor quality, but hopefully you still enjoy it.
For more details and stories, check out the blog entry I wrote about this game:

Thanks for watching and please subscribe!
Nice to see a game where 90% of the crowd isn't on their phones the whole time
Seriously!
There were smartphones in 1992?

I love these old videos. Proves a genuine 'for love of the game' mindset and I'm sure it makes you reminisce and miss your pops. I remember those VHS camcorders being over $1000 and the day my dad was so proud to afford one. Agh, the wonder years...
I'm 20 year old Braves fan, and I never got to experience Fulton County Stadium (since I was two when it closed). This is amazing to see the stadium that my father would always talk about. Thanks for sharing this!
You're very welcome! Glad you appreciate it.
Ya. I apparently went to one but I was 3 years old and can't remember. Most of my Braves memories come at Turner Field. My dad and I went to many games. Now I have a son and Truist Park has been great so far for the three of us
I grew up less than 5 miles from the stadium. I love the rawness. I miss the stadium so much that it's in my dreams from time to time.
*I know that dad*
It's so cool that you still have this footage
Not just cool . . . lucky!
That's so cool, Braves vs. Padres in your first time at Fulton, Braves vs. Padres in your first time at SunTrust Park!
Your dad seemed like a great guy!
Hey guys look at the fans watching the game instead of staring at their phones all game
Daniel Williams lol
2 Atlanta stadiums ago.
Attended my first ever MLB game at Fulton County in 91. A lot of good memories in that park, thanks for putting this up
Very cool. You're welcome.
Thank you for this nostalgic moment! I wish my Dad would have recorded the many games we went to. I wish they would have never torn it down😢
Thanks for posting this. Saw my first Braves game there in 1986. Great memories.
Thanks for bringing back this stadium to memory. I remember that royal oak sign very well. You sat where my family and I used to always sit.
Nothing makes me happier than a father and his son going to a baseball game. That's awesome. Thanks for sharing this with every one.
Makes me so happy too. Thanks for watching.
Wow you sound exactly the same
He still does the same facial expression when he shows the ball to the camera
Great and very rare footage of the Fulton County Stadium!
I’m here on Father’s Day 2021
Most beautiful stadium in American history.
Ha, not quite, but glad you like it.
It was demolished before I was even born, but i think it was great. the circle layout way just so seamless.
I like this stadium better than Turner Field. Never saw the newest park.
I was driving back to Chicago from Tampa and took a Turner Tour.
Old Fulton has its infield cutout in the Turner parking lot now.
My 1993 Geo Prizm was on the infield and by where Aaron hit his record breaker.
Neat Experience.
Thank You for posting - I only saw Fulton from the Cubs TV perspective which is not the same as your fans view.
Again, another great video Mr. Hample. I was a year old when this was recorded. Much support from Albany New York. Thank you for the continuous content.
I wasn't even alive😂
Thanks for watching it, fellow New Yorker.
I was negative 14 years old when this was filmed
Cool to see Zack. Thanks for sharing.
You're welcome. Thanks for watching.
So cool! It's easy to see how you've come to love baseball. Awesome times at the ball park with your family! I hope to see this continued through today and future generations!
Thanks. Yeah, I loved going to games with my family, but it didn't happen often.
Very cool to see Tom Glavine pitching and I believe that was Justice in RF. Awesome video mate.
I'm glad you had the chance to immortalize your Dad taking you to a game. Priceless.
Awesome upload! Thanks for sharing! It's extremely cool to get to see home video from 1992.
Thanks! Glad you like it.
Nice vid as always zack I love seeing videos of you from the past!
Thanks! There are a few more of these on the way.
I remember my first video I ever saw of Your's. I was on RUclips looking for videos and I kept seeing your marlins one and I kept saying to my self " why does this keep coming up"? So after a lot of days of it coming up I decided to watch it. Right away I got hooked to the videos. The next day there was a new video. Ever since that Marlins video I've been checking your channel every chance I have(which is a lot).
Awesome! I always like hearing how people find me.
This is beautiful Zack, I have never got a chance to be inside Atlanta Fulton County Stadium since I was born in 1994. It's now amazing to look inside a baseball stadium that I've never got a chance to see or go to. I remember hearing the likes of Bobby Cox, John Smoltz, Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine, Hank Aaron, Dale Murphy, Phil Niekro, Chipper Jones, Sid Bream, David Justice, etc. that played at Atlanta Fulton County Stadium. When Fulton County Stadium served as a parking lot, I got to see home plate and the commemorative marker to where Hank Aaron hit his 715th home run breaking Babe Ruth's record.
I'm so glad to be able to share this with someone like you who truly appreciates it. That list of names really brings me back to watch games on TBS back in the day.
Chipper Jones is the one player that got me into watching the Braves play along with the NL Cy Young pitching trio of Smoltz, Glavine, and Maddux as well
OMG dude, thank you so much for uploading this. I was 9 in 1992. Never had a home video of Fulton Co Stadium.
This is awesome. I remember my first game. Age 13, Aug 5th 2006. Nick Swisher signed my ball when he was playing with the A's. Best sport ever.
Thanks! Sounds like you had a good time.
Saw countless Falcons and Braves games there along with a few Peach Bowls. I was there on July 4th 1986 when Rick Camp homered in the bottom of the 18th inning to keep the game alive vs the Mets and they shot the fireworks off at 3:30 AM!
I was also 15 in 1992.
At the 1992 World Series, I hung out in the parking lot and watched the game on a big screen. It was when they were playing the Toronto Blue Jays. Good atmosphere. The Canadians who flew down were carrying around Canadian flags outside the stadium, while some Braves fans were carrying the American flag. I saw one guy dressed up as Uncle Sam.
It's crazy how it has now been roughly 32 years since then. Wow.
Awesome video Zack! I try to watch everyone when it comes out! Keep up the great work, and good luck!
Thanks! I hope you keep watching.
0:21 your dad whispering dont miss the title seconds after telling you there it was made me laugh! He seemed like a great guy Zack and for sure see the similarities.
You looked pissed every time your dad said ur name
Sounds like every 15 year old boy.
I don't know why but games looked more exiting and fun in those times
The world was much more fun. People were kind, and everything was more laid-back.
Oh what a classic! This is cool!!
:)
I like that, vintage ballhawker back in the 90's, great video Zack
Thanks!
Really liked this vid! Keep it up Zack.
Thanks so much! Will do.
10/10 editing.
I remember I was searching best fan catches and then I saw this "Zack Hample" guy and it said he was a "ballhawk" but I watched it and I thought it was AMAZING then I subscribed and I've been subbed and watching your videos since and that was quite a while ago
I love seeing my favorite team on your channel
:)
Wow so cool you still have that video😀
:)
Cool, nice to show younger kids the expirience at an old stadium!
Thanks, glad to do it.
I've been a Braves fan my whole life but I wasn't born yet to see Fulton County Stadium so it's cool to see where my Bravos used to play, vs now
"Two week trip to France" 😂. Face and voice hasn't changed ;)
Ha, yup. Silly stuff.
Awesome that you guys were doing the Florida state chant. I love both sports and nothing makes me happier for the sports to relate. Tomahawk chop #warchant great video like always
Thanks! Glad you liked that.
This video really takes me back. First Major League game I ever got to attend was at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium, long about... 1990? Or so. Somewhere in there. I know it was while they still had Dale Murphy on the roster, and shortly before they had their big Worst to First run. I was always a Cubs fan, and my Grandpa made it a point to take me to go see them play live. I remember I was all kinds of excited to see Ryne Sandberg, (my favorite player), and Andre Dawson, and Mark Grace, and all the rest of the Cubs of my youth. It was a good time.
1:21 That face though
This was a cool video to watch being a long time sub
Thanks for watching/subbing.
you were way ahead of the game haha, vlogging 24 years ago!
You know it!
I absolutely love your vids man! Keep it up! Ive been subbed since 500 subs!
Whoa, 500 was early!
Yes Sir!
Great footage! Crazy that the Braves no longer play at the ballpark that my Dad (Fulton County) or I (Turner Field) grew up going to. Excited for Sun Trust Park though!
Thanks! And yeah, so many stadium in Atlanta. It's madness.
It's sad that the baseball fanbase is declining. You never see that many people waiting early to get into games anymore..
Ha, are you kidding? Come to games in New York. You'll weep at how crowded it is.
The guy at 5:21 is my dad he passed away from a very bad car accident he got in and West Fulton County about 5 years ago he's to be the king of that Stadium he died in a burning car his last words were get me the fuck out of here burns like hell that was my dad that died
Awesome vid! The first Braves game I attended was in May 1994 at Fulton County Stadium. I was 12 at the time. I went to 6 or 7 games at Turner Field. Crazy to think their already moving into a another stadium. Cheers!
Wow that is incredible time flies. Really cool video, it's crazy how far you've come.
Thanks, and yeah. It sure does.
+Zack Hample what plans do you have during the off season?
I love you videos Zack! I look forward to them every time I see it in my sub box! Please keep making them! You got me into Ball Hawking as well! Keep up the amazing work! :)
I really appreciate that. I hope you won't ever stop watching.
Zack Hample You can count on me! I won't every quit watching your videos:)
It's crazy to think he's been doing this since at least the early 90s
That was awesome! Thank you.
You're welcome!
awesome! i hope i can see more old videos from u zack
Thanks. You definitely will.
Great vid... its amazing how you essentially evolved... nice vid
Thanks. I hope I'm still evolving.
Cool video. I was 10 at the time. I may have seen the Astros play in the Astrodome that year. What a sight to see how basic everything was...
Zack I have worn Phillies gear for 322 days in a row
Jack Wagoner damn
Jack Wagoner how the hell do you do that what do you have 50 pairs of phillies underwear and just wear that
That's insane! I love it.
Great video Zach! Hope more of these videos get posted! thanks
Could you do more contests on RUclips comments because a lot of your viewers are kids that might want to participate in them but don't have twitter. Thank you Zack keep up the good work and I hope to see you at a game someday!
I will strongly consider it. Might do Instagram too. Stay tuned . . .
no T. Gwynn at bat footage! ?? Dope video Zack! Thx 4 sharing.
I know. That was dumb of me.
Very awesome video Zack!!!!! I went there in the mid 90's before they tore it down. Not too bad of a ball park :)
Thanks! That's cool that you made it there.
This is awesome! You actually sound pretty similar (in my opinion) to how you sound now. I have no idea how you found this or how you still saved it but I think it is cool. Fun fact: I have been to that wall where you are sitting because I don't know if you know but that wall is still there and surrounds a parking lot near the (used to be) stadium.
I found it two years ago in an old box of my stuff that was in storage. Got the tape converted digitally. Finally learned how to edit video, and voila!
Another nice video
Thanks.
Great video Zack! Awesome to see you with your dad. I'll always cherish my pops working all day at a job he hated, only to come home and sacrifice off time to take a dopey little kid like me to Brewers games at good ok County Stadium.
Aww, man. Thanks. I appreciate that. If you have a few minutes, check out the one blog entry I ever wrote about County Stadium: zackhample.mlblogs.com/2013/01/30/71398-at-county-stadium/
This could be one of my favorite videos has some history to it!
For real? Thanks!
No Problem!!!
hahah WOW Guillermo Velazquez!!! haha he used to play minor league ball in my hometown of Riverside California Class A Riverside RedWave, my mom use to make him homemade burritos and just homemade food in general, she use to also hem his pants and anything else he needed we were like his host family!!! How Awesome!
Dude, yup, remember Andy Skeels, I went to many games. They were a Padres affiliate.
Pendleton finished with 199 hits, but still good enough to lead the league that year.
I live in Atlanta and this is cool
:)
Awesome blast from the past! Zack I didn't know the bullpen was in foul territory there. I always thought it was behind the outfield wall.
Glad you liked it, and yup, there were simple/cruddy bullpens there.
When Hank Aaron hit his 715th HR there, it was caught by Tom House in the bullpen. So back then, at least, they were behind the outfield wall. By '79 they were down the foul lines.
I remember going to my first baseball game it was the Mets vs Phillies at Shea Stadium the Mets had won 5-4 in 2006 if I recall
Nice memory. I miss Shea.
I do too :( Great video it made me think of the past when I used to go to Mets games with my dad!
Make sure to go to the opening of Sun Trust Park
Brian Kahmar probably he is
I'm thinking about it.
Dang zack you do not luck like you do today.
Love the video. Glad to hear my Padres won that day!!!
Thanks, and yup, they pulled it out.
Wow. This was really great, I felt like I was at the game lol.
Glad to hear that!
Nice video zack. Looking forward to more videos in the future. And btw did u live in Atlanta at the time or did u just visit
Thanks. We were just visiting family in Atlanta. I've always lived in NYC.
I am a huge Atlanta Fan thanks alot
You're welcome.

Super cool video, zack
Thanks!

Glad to hear that. :)
soo, was this the first ballpark video you filmed?
well, this is some piece of history.
Yup, my very first stadium video . . . before I knew it was a THING.
The braves were the first team I watched outside Minnesota
Zack amazing video I like how you used to do that
Thanks!
Your voice sounds SOOOOOOOO different a bit and is that also Young Martha?!
He sounds exactly the same.

Thanks for watching!
Keep up the great videos, Zack!
Thanks, will do.
Awesome zack great vid

Miss that guy’s voice 🎙️
That would be so cool to hang out with you and your dad and watch a baseball game. Seems like a funny and likeable guy.
Ball hawk videos then vs now
Huge difference.
Awesome Video!!
"Ooo she's looking at my ball" lol!😂
Maria Rose go tigers
Love these old videos! Is there a chance you have one from County Stadium? if so I'd love to see it!
Thanks, but no video from County -- just a blog entry: zackhample.mlblogs.com/2013/01/30/71398-at-county-stadium/
