For Final Blitz Rhinos like to use an electromagnetic effect as an early strategy to slow and disable the tech, but when they give the Rhinos photon coating I'll use sentry missiles as they have a very strong slow effect that isn't stopped by photon coating, also Fangs with portable shields are my go to for distracting Fortresses. Usually putting the Fangs in front of the Crawlers so the fast Crawlers run through the slow Fangs causing the the Fangs to spread out just a little bit while also letting there be two waves of distractions as the Crawlers meet the enemy first than the slow Fangs second

Shield device spec is only for the ones you pop down for 100 credits.
EDIT: i have had some success with roided up arclights behind chaff vs fang/hacker combos. but it is far from 100%

You did hack his rhino, but then he blew it up instantly. And I think instead of the extra crawlers you could have added another hacker to get that 'flanking' fortress right from the start and send it right back into his face.

Loved this, dude! Much more fun to watch than those damn stormcallers, lol (not criticizing you -- just the unit).

The only thing I could see potentially stopping the hacker wall strategy is a forward acid crawlers (which are meant to die so the enemy loses hp to the acid), followed by long range fire from anything and everything available like marksmen and fire stormcallers.
The key problem with the hacker wall is that regardless of what you put against it, the wall can just intergrate whatever it needs to counter you. If you're going stormcaller against it they'll add missile defence or interceptor mustangs. You're going crawler, so they go vulcan/arclight. You're going Overlord, then they'll go marskman... Whichever the case, that's why I think acid crawler might be one of the few things standing a chance because they are meant to be sacrificial and use their death acid to counter the wall.

    Only two counters for hackers.
    1. Balls to the walls offense that kills them before they get the hack off.
    2. UNBELIEVABLE amounts of chaff causing them to constantly steal individual crawlers, fangs, mustangs, wasps etc.
The tricky bit is not only knowing which option you need, but actually being in a position to do it.
That said if you do go option one TONS of range. A good hack on a giant unit is fatal, especially if they got the "full heal on hack" upgrade.
Had a funny round where they'd hack my melting points, the remaining melting points would go after the one that got hacked, only for it to get rehacked and full healed as a result.
Literally watched my melting point change sides like four times that round lol.

I'm not sure but I feel a massive stormcaller spam further back might hold it

The Overlord missiles are intercepted by the new CIWS turret, too, so I don't know how effective that would be. If you had fangs as your front row, they'd have some anti air attacks too for fighting back against Overlords

I dont have the experience, so take this as a guess.
I think when you are doing a one side estrategy getting photon coating seems really usefull, becase every single unit will be clumpted there, acid fire and other combat skills are nutty on that, and photon coating avoids many of them while giving you 50% more defense against everything else.

Photon Emission covers alot of units
Photon Coating is just the tech for 1 unit
when i first started i always confused the barrier and shield techs thinking they both gave a bubble shield.
been a few times i picked one thinking its the other lol
but you are right, the emission drop is nice for this strategy covering 90% of your army provided you get the right one lol

I think to counter this you could go acid crawlers, or maybe even carry fangs so the hacks are less valuable?

Hackers are such bm, the opponent ends up taking so much extra damage from all the hacked units

i usually ends up with far more hackers !
increased range + multiple hacking + barrier, 10 hackers, profit

I found it weird that your second opponent took so long to respond to your aerial attack. The only time he brought in anti air was in the final round and you'd already won. Giving up to round losses because you couldn't respond to air units seems daft.

LOL, every time you say "man", I hear "men", and it turns a normal commentary into some kind of rousing speech addressing all the "men" about to charge into battle
