Yes des! a spring cleaning video sounds great- it'll give your audience motivation. ALSO I'm so happy audiobooks are gaining more traction in the booktube world! As someone who is dyslexic finds reading books fairly taxing, it's so amazing to see others confirm that they "count" as reading!!
They totally count it’s just a different experience! Think about adults reading books to children- the kids are still reading
as long as they’re unabridged, audiobooks are defo valid
Totally, some people in the book community can be so ableist when I comes to what ‘counts as reading’ when many people have disabilities (dyslexia, blindness, adhd etc) that make reading physically harder! Not to mention many people simply don’t have time to read physically whereas you can consume audio while driving to work, cleaning etc ☺️☺️
yes!! I started listening to audiobooks (finished 2 already and had good progress with 2 others) and they are SO good for when you are doing something else. one that I'm listening is a book that I've started a few years ago and never finished, but still remember a lot of it, so listening instead of reading it makes it so much easier to get to where I was before
@@amypatterson314exactly!! I have headaches oftenly but no other disabilities and having audiobooks just give me the opportunity of still enjoying a book without getting worse

Honestly, just picking a monthly tbr based on what you’re actually excited about and in the mood for is so good!! Also, audiobooks have been so helpful when I’m in a slump and my energy is low. Would love to see what audiobooks you enjoy!!

I mostly read library books so my TBR is always what came off the holds list, lol. Every Tuesday is stressful because a bunch of new releases come out so the library emails me and I'm like ACK lol.

Mood reading has really helped me find more 5 star reads....kind of. I've read 80 books/manga/manwha, so far this year, and I've had three 5 star novel reads. In 2023, I had seven 5 star novel reads for the entire year! I use tbr jars to randomly choose 5 books for my monthly tbr, then the other 5 are for bookclubs/new releases/what I'm in the mood for. Then, I can mood read the rest of the month.

I enjoy tbr videos and you try different ways to see if you can read from your physical tbr every month that it makes me wonder what would work for me because I have a hard time reading from my physical tbr versus reading from the library. Happy reading!

Happy for you to be able to read what you actually want to read! I can't imagine never being able to do that for months on end. I am ocd on picking my books to read. I have the whole year planned out for what I want to read each month based on how each mood / season correlates to each book.

this is so fun!! and it makes the most sense too imo, you should always get to decide what you want to read!! i do think those tbr challengeish videos are fun, but reading a book shouldnt be a chore and i can imagine videos like that kind of make it feel that way
