- On the 4th of November, 2010, Qantas Airlines Flight 32 was headed to Sydney, Australia from London after a refuelling stop at the Singapore Changi Airport.
Nearly 500 people were on board the massive Airbus A380 plane when moments after take-off, one of the engines exploded taking with it much of the aircraft's control and communication systems.
With the aircraft losing control and communications affected, the flight crew was faced with a difficult decision on whether to land Immediately or keep flying to possibly restore control.
This is the story of Qantas Airlines flight 32 and how an engine explosion left hundreds millimetres away from their demise.
What i dont get is why airbus or boing dont install cameras to monitor the engines and the flaps. This would cost like nothing.
Thanks for doing this 😇
This is an insane story of airmanship, it is my opinion that Richard de Crespigny showed unprecedented calm and leadership beyond comprehension, WOW 😎🤠🥳
Unbelievable skill of the Captain and his crew on this potential explosive incident!! Flight training and experience is displayed in this emergency on a relatively new airplane. This emergency is an example of NOT hiring pilots based on DEI!
Well, it’s back in Australia. Are flying again now.😊
I wonder if they tried turning it off and on again
There was nothing to turn off !
