This Frédéric Chopin etude op 10 n 8 in F major is a study for solo piano, which was first published in 1833, and is also known as "Sunshine". As this designation suggests, this etude offers a scene full of life under a bright sunlight. To this end, the right hand is required to perform long displacements with high velocity on the keyboard, which generate the rays of an increasing sunshine. At the same time, the left hand has to play the main melody, in a brillant and mild manner in order to depict a dancing and hopping bird that is enjoying this pleasant sunny day. The main difficulty of this study is therefore to ensure that this beautiful left-hand melody emerges in a contrasted manner from the sunshine background generated by the right hand.
