new subscriber here. I'm not an architect or an engineer but my dad is but he is still using the traditional way of drawing things. so I'm hoping to learn autocad to help out and teach him this.
thanks a lot for this tutorial. ive been in the architecture industry for 6 years and not only nobody is using this tool but it wasn't event adressed during my formation in favor of revit. i can see myself converting to this more easily than to revit while using most of my already established tools. i will now go write a complain letter to my school hahaha.
I don't know if this helps others but I was trying to learn this on my Macbook, which downloaded Autocad 2022. I just switched to a PC and the option to install the Architecture software appeared. I launched it and it looked like this home screen, although it is a slightly different version. On my Mac I could launch an Architectural Drawing template but it was not the same thing. I hope this helps others. Cheers.
Thank you so much for this. I thought I had forgotten everything! I couldn't find my design content. I'm missing my build and tools panels on my home tab. They're not in the CUI pane. Do you now how I get them?
You seem to know a lot, can you please create advanced tutorials? I found it’s extremely hard to find tutorials (which is weird for the fact that it’s been up for a long time time). I want to know how to really work on a project, work flow, design stage/options, construction wise, go deep in detailing, editing, and customize everything (tags, schedule, objects, walls, etc) and not just exploring the tools. I really need help. I’m about to switch to Revit since I can’t find enough tutorials and I simply hate the idea. Thanks!
Where can I get detailed tutorials for AutoCAD Architecture? There seems to be limited information for beginners. I may be forced to skip it and go straight to Revit
Thank you for the excellent video! Could you share which template you used? I use Autocad Architecture at work, but our file doesn't allow the 3D view.
Thanks for this. I teach high school CAD and I'm kind of self-teaching the Architecture stuff. I realize this is pretty dumb but I have Autodesk 2022 and I don't know how to even get into the Architecture home page with the tools and options loaded for Architecture. I tried opening an Architectural drawing but it still didn't show me any of the ribbons or buttons I see in this video or any of the Autodesk 2022 videos I've found. I think it's probably so easy that no one bothers to show it or explain it. Can anyone help tell me how to get "into" the Architecture starting point by any chance? Cheers
There's a version specifically for Architecture. You can download a free 30-day trial for educational or business use on their website, as I did just prior to coming to this video. :)
you just select the whole floor and copy with a base point using command: ctl, shift, C and then use base point 0,0 then press enter. then go to the second floor plan and press ctl V, then hit 0,0 again when prompted. this so that you copy the first floor to the second floor at the same base point so the floors are stacked over each other. i hope this helps
Industry? That stinks. I gotta self learn 3D modelling and architectual design. I studied computer engineering , and i specialize in the Internet of Things. Apparently when they hired me they just saw "Engineering" and now im with this industry which is filled with electrical/mechatronics engineering.
NOT for Beginners to AutoCad. Need to better explain picks on menus or command line when placing items dimensionally. Could shorten lecture by just showing examples with two orthogonal walls. Again, too fast on picking items. But thanks for putting it up for free.

I know this is late to the game but I lol when you mentioned Softdesk! That was auto-architecture back then. Good times.

Nice one ...Please can you a video on how to model Concrete fascia board in Autocad Architecture?

Following!
Just use Revit. If you are going to be shelling out the wazoo for Autodesk bring in the heavy artillery.
This video help me! Thank you!!
Could you show how to draw curve wall with different height from one end to the other? Thanks in advance.
Hi there. Is there a more modern version instead of AutoCAD for Architecture 2016 ?
Awesome video... Loved it
Thank you 😊
Hi. Which autocad version best???? stadard Autocad 2023 or autocad Architecture 2023 ???????
Good Stuff!
Thank you 😊
Thank you for the excellent video! Could you share which template you used? I use Autocad Architecture at work, but our file doesn't allow the 3D view.
Switch to Revit.
Some great info, but the 1 frame per second definitely hampers comprehension of steps.
i have normal autocad, is autocad architecture a different app? or
AutoCAD Architecture is different software.
Thanks dude, this helps considerably~
Awesome intro man
thanks
You're welcome 😊
this might be a dumb question, but why cant i find the wall tools on autocad

I will love to learn CAD for architecture for beginners. How can I get in touch with you?
Great video by the way. would really like to see more.
Could you do a two storey building with an interior stair?
Great elaboration but what about section cuts and call out details too.
i cannot select two objects as boundaries to trim. it wasn't like that at first. did i click somewhere im not suppose to do so?
What this has to do with biomedical engineering?
Hi Sir, how to make line hidden from hatch? Thank you
How can I get all the different styles?
Is autocad architecture as good as revit?
Not too forthcoming on info about functions. His previous saved work (walls, doors, windows, beams, exterior etc), yes..but not for creating them.
how we to floor. i want to copy first floor to second floor. How can i do. Are there any tutorials about this?
I'm looking for the exact solution as well.

Sir only architecture can work in 3d
I can't see windows and doors when I am drawing, just dimensions

how do I access this wall, door, roof slab..etc command? anyone?
Thank you so much :D ^^
Sir can you tell me how to convert 2d to 3 d in this architecture aap
how do you change from auto cad to autocad architecture?
AutoCAD Architecture is separate software. You will have to download it & install it. You cannot convert AutoCAD to AutoCAD Architecture.
@@Civil-CAD thanks
you can add workspace
Awesome
The details ... thats how you know this is next level shit .
Make more videos
when i pick on the wall or any drawing command the crosshairs drag
who said you stink you are pretty good
Программа, для проектирования сараев
Vintage software.
You move too fast, take your time we can't see it well too
30 31 20
get a better mic
Pretty similar to revit
