Otherwise you can't feel 28hz much at all.. in competition 42 to 58hz is the sweet spot to achieve the highest SPL in 97% of configurations. For home audio I use several tactical transducers (buttkicker bass shakers, essentially vibrators screwed to the bottom of furniture) THOSE come to life at 28hz range and really fill in a missing spectrum that almost no sub can reproduce. And it doesn't way up my wife. Check em out. Dayton is best value brand
