its really nice that terraria allows people to progress through struggle situations like skyblock, with just a couple changes like bosses dropping the requirements for progression or slimes having special drops. Just so players dont use game breaking bugs like transmutation

It’s still possible to survive early prehardmode (I did so to farm burgers in my zenith run) but I needed a sunflower, campfire, and several banners just to do so. It’s one of the uniquely challenging things about the zenith seed that would be completely bypassed if you could directly buy purification powder after EoC
I purified a large portion of my surface pre hard mode with just a pickaxe and bombs, it was pretty easy just set your spawn. The purification powder really isn’t that game breaking for the seed. It’s honesty just annoying not having it, and it’s the only time I’ve ever actually wanted to use it because it’s already a pain to use and doesn’t work great. I lowkey think they should have just kept it in the seed and it wouldn’t make a big difference.

That statue that randomly spawned is a new mob, fittingly called 'Statue'. It's essentially a statue mimic that tries to jump scare you, and then it attacks you. Once you beat it, it drops whatever statue it showed up as. Wiki (and bestiary) says it spawns in graveyards, but I have seen a couple far away from any graveyards, so it's not JUST graveyards. One of the times I saw one, I didn't even have a single gravestone anywhere in the world, since I'm pretty good at busting up any that I make.
I've only just started the video, but your luck is already MUCH better than mine. In my series playing this world, I spawned on a lesion block cloud just high enough to kill you from fall damage, not to mention the amount of eaters and crimeras.
The reason you got a statue is because haunted statues are a new rare enemy that can spawn in Graveyards, which can appear as any statue I think, and drop the matching statue on death, so if you are lucky, yes, an Imp Statue could be obtained in Skyblock.

Tips for the brain: -use flaming arrows. It’ll highlight the correct brain -legendary mode brain copies can’t spawn in full blocks, so have your ceiling multiple blocks thick and it’ll make it so that the real copy can only spawn below you, a 1/2 instead of 1/4 -never stand still. Like, ever. You will almost certainly die every time
If you intend to start playing runs with secret seeds, I highly recommend leaving out "Rainbow stuff" as it makes the game visually disorienting/oppressive.
This is a mostly-copy-pasta from a reply I wrote on one of the comments in the last video: Sadly, the editing format here, is a product of how iPad kids, and/or generic screen babies have been affected over years of social media, and frankly, social engineering. I know I’m a bit late and you’ve probably been told this, but the dying at the bottom of the world is a result of the don’t dig up seed, and the issues with wall of flesh might be the celebration mk10 making all bosses smaller
They specifically changed it so that the void instakills players even in normal worlds. Found out about it when mining hellstone and trying to mine the bottom hellstone veins and instantly dying
tip: when going to try and get liquids, use the new mechanic of buckets being able to collect water when dropped when it's raining(trust me, it's way too painful otherwise).

what do you mean " doesn't need a 10 hours fishing grind" ... that is one of the initiation rites of skyblock, the weak are thinned out by it :D
SkyBlock's progression really is just, "Oops! All slimes", and everything else is either a boss drop or literally unobtainable/unusable.
