- Опубликовано: 26 сен 2024
- Made to order based on Korean traditional furniture "Moongap".
"Moongap" refers to a form that mainly contains documents or stationery and is equipped with drawers or doors.
They come in a variety of shapes, but I like the relatively low, drawer-only "Moongap".
"Moongap" " Four-shelved Stand" One of my favorite traditional furniture pieces.
" Four-shelved Stand"with its beautiful proportions and simple lines, will also be made into a video within this year.
Thank you for watching.

Something relaxing watching a master at work. Don't need therapy, just watch something like this. Not many videos I watch without skipping ahead through much of it. This is one of the few I can watch all the way through.
It's truly amazing that it can bring healing to someone.
My video uploads are slow, but they won't stop.
thank you.!
@@squarerulefurniture I've been doing a little woodworking making candle holders and other small things a nd I find it very enjoyable. Something to do and keeps the mind off troubles a bit.
you're right. teacher ! I enjoy doing this and plan to do it for a very long time!
thank you!
Beautiful family beautiful work. Doesn't get any better than that.
I'm happy to be with my children.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you my dear woodworking colleague. You don't have to do these videos and especially put so much artistic effort in them. It slows down your work process and while for me it's a hobby, for you it's the way to support your life and family. Nonetheless you do it and provide us with something so calming. Thank you and I wish you and your family all the best.
The process is difficult, but I think this is also a pleasure.
I can work hard, my family is healthy, and happiness is not far away.
Thank you so much for watching.
Have a happy weekend with your family!
A true artisan. Unbelievable workmanship here. What a pleasure to watch!
I am happy to be able to provide you with pleasure.
Thank you.
In one word, Outstanding.

Thanks MJ!
I COULD HAVE WATCHED THE WHOLE NIGHT.
OPERA D’ARTE! OEUVRE D’ART!
THANK YOU WITH ALL MY HEART.
BECAUSE: WORKING IN SUCH A RESPECTFUL WAY IS BASED ON LOVE FOR THE ARTISANS ABILITIES, RESPECT TO NATUR FROM WHERE THE WOOD COMES FROM AND, LAST BUT NOT LEAST, RESPECTFULNESS TOWARDS THE MEANING WHAT HIS GOALS ARE: TO BUILD A PIECE FOR MANY LIFETIMES!
Please listen more often
I think I will be able to work happily today with your praise. Greetings from South Korea!

Its like Christmas morning when you drop a new video :)
I'm glad I could bring you joy.
Have a great weekend!
What craftsmanship! Thank you for sharing your gorgeous work.
Thank you so much for your wonderful comments.
Happy weekend!
Craftsmanship here is pleasing to watch. Big love and appreciation for your work.
I appreciate your compliment.!
what a job, marvelous as always
As always, thank you for the wonderful comments
Happy weekend!
I have to say the best I have seen so far to work with wood. 👏
It's short, but I think it's the best compliment to me.
thank you!
Q: "What technique and tools do you use to make hand cut dovetails?"
A: "ALL of them..." 😂
Beautiful work as always sir. Great design proportion and excellent construction. I admire how you use so many different types of tools and materials; whatever is best for the job, whether it's a japanese traditional saw or plane, a Lie Nielsen #5, a block plane, router or UHMW tape for the drawers. Best wishes!
I love all Japanese hand tools and Linilsen Veritas tools.
We do not insist on only hand tools, but try to do work that is not boring and fun through various work methods.
You see through everything I've been working on! You too are a professional carpenter!
I end my day in a good mood today because of your comments.
Thank you always and have a great weekend!
ehaaaa how many new tools you have and how clean and tidy it probably you use this workshop for the first time ! :))
Tidying up is a necessary process for safety and peace of mind.
Thank you for watching.
Incredibly work of art.
Thank you for the compliment!
Perfect work 🙋♂️👍
thank you^^ 😍😍
Another beautiful piece! I love the simplicity and attention to detail of all your pieces and would happily have them in my home. Such perfection, thanks for another video.
Thank you for the impressive viewing
I'm excited!
Happy weekend!
Pure class
Thanks for watching!
캬~~~장인정신. 화이팅입니다.
감사합니다~
A stunning piece of work, a pleasure to watch you do it. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching.
Have a great weekend!
So much care and respect given to the timber. It is a delight to watch you at your craft.
I am happy to be able to provide you with pleasure.
Have a happy weekend!
I'm really impressed, not only from the end result, but also from the precision, the techniques that you use, the tidiness, the filmography. In a world of mass construction, a well (hand) made furniture is appreciated and the price difference is understandable once you see the process of creation.
Thanks for the upload.
Thank you so much for the nice talk.
I'm still learning and still have a long way to go, but the stories you tell me make me work harder today.
Thank you for watching. Have a nice weekend!
@@squarerulefurniture I hope you learn and improve every day. Learning and adopting what is helpful for you, is a tremendously beneficial process. It will make you better at your craft but also better as a person. Learn, test and apply the newly learned skills is essential for everyone's betterment. You sound very humble and that's a quality i love seeing.
Encouraging everyone to get better, is key to improvement, because.. no one is perfect, but we should keep trying our best every day.
Have a great weekend!
@@rickyrollerv2 What I fear the most is losing my passion and being complacent.
It will not be easy, but I want to make furniture with a humble mind without losing my initial intention.
Thank you so much for the real advice!
@@squarerulefurniture from my experience, that totaly logical fear can go three different ways.
1. You can get scared even before something like losing interest even happens and you just live a miserable working life and quit way before you should.
2. You power through it (with the pros and cons) and maybe you will get stronger mentally.
3. You embrace it, and when/if you lose your inspiration and passion, you evolve to something new and get new perspective.
For instance, may lose interest, but... you can start teaching what you know to new carpenters (in person or even via online courses), you can get yourself into traditional wood house building, learn about traditional woodworking from other countries, learn a new craft that you can incorporate to yours when you get back to your original working craft.
I m happy to see passionate people and I think that you should not worry right now.
@@rickyrollerv2 I started doing what I had long dreamed of.
A lot of worries, worries and fears It seems like 10 years have passed.
What I like to do and what I have to earn money for are very different.
I've never regretted my choice of woodworking, but I had to give up a lot for it. It was a poor start, and my wife and children had to suffer.
So I have regretted it.
But I think I came here with the belief that one day I will slowly reach the place I am looking at.
Even now, it is still growing and woodworking is the greatest blessing, hope, and wish for me.
As always, I will walk slowly.
thank you ^^
doesn't get much better than that !
It's hard to interpret, but thank you for watching
Absolutely beautiful. Thanks for sharing
I appreciate your compliment!
You my friend are a true Master Craftsman. Absolutely beautiful! Thank you for allowing us a view into the creation of such a masterful piece of art!

I like simple things that are elegant.
Gorgeous

Another amazingly crafted work of art. This is one - like all of your pieces - that will be passed down from generation to generation. Beautiful!
hello~
This furniture was ordered by a person with a high understanding of furniture, so I really enjoyed working on it regardless of the time.
A "rubbed" joint" ............... the best!!

Спасибо за очень хороший комментарий!
Yet another beautiful piece. "Rubbing" the glue joint is a technique I use frequently, and always gives me a good glue up.
Sometimes I forgot. ^^;;
Thank you for watching.~

Yet another stunning piece. Haven't seen you do a lot of dovetails but these were done beautifully and the final result was beautiful as always!
It seems like I've been working on it for a long time.
Thanks for watching~
That was exquisite. I liked how you added pressure to the center of your panels by adding the disc of sandpaper under the center of the caul. I learned something.
I'm happy to be able to help too!
Have a happy and enjoyable weekend!
This is amazing. Every video you put it out is a cool build with a great hand tool/power tool mix. Beautiful shop as well
Furniture making is fun if you don't stick to hand tools and machines and use them properly

Your work is beautiful and relaxing to watch.
thank you.
Have a nice weekend!
Ciao una realizzazione a dir poco perfetta sono rimasto incantato da quanta cura ci hai messo!!!!! BRAVISSIMO 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Ci sono voluti più tempo e fatica rispetto ad altri mobili.
Grazie sempre 😘😘
Very nice 👍👍
thank you^^
Simply beautiful.
Best praise ! Thank you.
Such a beautiful furniture!! Seeing you put the oil finish on the wood is like a balm, I like to do it too (spent a good while doing it during my last week internship).
I'm sorry though, I laughed when your ruler fell to the ground, it's me all the times!
I really like the clean dovetails and easily closing/opening drawers. I'd like to buy a square drill too I hope in the future to make mortese because we have a mini chainsaw like machine in my school and it's brutal for the wood sometimes.
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. All the best until next time!
Haha, you heard the sound of falling.
There are many ways to make a mortise hole.
Of course, it would be nice to have a machine, but I think it would be better to find a way other than a chainsaw. Stay healthy until next time!
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful... MAESTRO...👍👍👍
Thank you!! ...👍👍👍
I could watch you every day. Being a woodworker myself, I still learn a new trick from your videos! You always display the perfect balance of hand tools and modern power tools. Either way, another beautiful piece of furniture!
I like traditional hand tools as well as modern machines and beautiful tools.
It seems that the right balance is important for anything.
Don't forget safety woodworking! Have a great weekend!
The tools and aesthetics though🥺❤️
Thank you for watching.

I personally like it.
Thanks for watching. Have a nice weekend!
The fact that you use a micrometer for your measurements amazes me. Keep up the hard work, it’s not going unnoticed.
Furniture should be connected without error, and the right angle seems to be important.
Thank you for watching.

Hi, came across your video few days back and have been an admirer of your work. Really love the calmness and accuracy you work with and beautiful pieces of furniture. I have always been interested in woodworking but don't have the basic knowledge. It'll be really helpful if you could give me some advice. I am a total stranger to this field. Watching your videos calms me. Thank you once again.
It seems that anything starts with small interest and practice. Put safety first and start slowly. It will be a lot harder than you think, but it will be more rewarding and fun than any other hobby.
Thank you for watching.

Mucho tiempo sin verte. Amigo ~ ¡Mantente saludable y gracias por mirar!
Hermoso trabajo.... gracias por compartirlo.
¡Gracias por el cumplido!
You make woodworking look like the art it is meant to be !
One curious question: any specific reason why you went with that particular joint for the drawer sides...haven't seen it before and so am not aware of its advantages...
It is easy to make and does not require the use of piece screws.
And it's neat.
If there is a better way, please let me know!
Thank you for watching.
