I am Brazilian and this plane was made in Brazil. EMBRAER airplanes are top quality, but are not made for war. Congratulations to the pilots, they made the best they could. 🙏
I watched another video of this crash from the ground and it appeared that the pilots were doing their best to fly a plane that had a serious problem. Now we know. Those pilots did an amazing job and should be considered hero's. They fought for control till the end.
I am a pilot, let me add the following: Before incident began this aircraft was sending a return radar signal identifying it as a friendly scheduled commercial flight. Assuming it was hit by an anti-aircraft missile, the radar operator and launch control team who fired the missile either failed to see the radar return indicating it was a friendly aircraft or ignored it. After the plane was hit the pilots appear to have lost either elevator control or rudder control or both. They deployed the landing gear which helped slow the aircraft considerably. They appeared to be using the engine power to control the heading of the aircraft similar to the much-publicized United Airlines crash in Sioux City many years ago. The loss of control in the final moments of the flight suggest limited aileron control or rapid loss of airspeed (stall) but for now this is all speculation on my part. Modern flight recorders will provide all the details necessary to understand the controllability issues. In addition, the cockpit voice recorder should enlighten us further. The figure eight flight path just before the crash was meant to either provide more time to descend to a safe final descent altitude or more time to prepare for the emergency landing (perhaps dump some of the fuel). I think it was likely intentional once they felt they were close enough to attempt an emergency landing. I agree with your assessment that the pilots were heroes. It appears they flew the plane and maintained control for as long as they could.
Thanks for the explanation. It's great to hear professional pilots's opinion. Please, I have a question for you that baffles me everytime there is a plane crash. The Korean plane was off course and flew over Kamchatka by error. Although Russia knew it was a 747 passenger jet (visually identified by their pilots), the order was given to shoot it down.
Birds take out plane turbine engines but a bird or even 500 birds will not take down most commercial planes. How do I know this? I dated a girl who worked for an Airplane body factory in the US and they made the Wing assembly, bodies, windows and windshields for commercial planes and she had the best job EVER, shooting frozen whole chickens and frozen whole Turkeys at plane parts to test for tolerances. If it can handle 10 shots of a frozen turkey being shot out of a canon then it passed. I thought she was lying at first then I went to meet her up one day for a dinner date after work and she showed me around and I watched her shoot a wing assembly with frozen chickens. They just bounced off the pressure she was shooting them at would have blown a human being into sludge, but the plane could take it. Planes are basically bullet proof up to about 50 caliber and the windshield and windows have a even higher tolerance than the metal body.
@@herbb8547 True, the engines are very important, but I was explaining how they test against birds and that birds didn't cause the damage you can see on the plane after the crash. Bird beaks don't make bullet shaped holes. Also planes are tested with high velocity projectiles to stop a flock of birds from taking down a plane and have been since the 1950s. But the other major problem with high altitude planes is that if a plane is struck by an object that causes the depressurizing of a plane then under the right circumstances it could cause some people to have a stroke or heart attack instantly because of changes in their blood pressure. If you ever had your blood pressure taken the feeling when they pump up the pressure cuff happens during very fast depressurization. So if a plane gets a hole in it your entire body would instantly be squeezed just like the cuff including your organs, like the heart and brain. So depending on the size of the plane and altitude it could be for 40-90 seconds or up to 3 minutes and then instantly (not slowly) the pressure is released. The release can cause massive heart attacks and blood clots to move causing strokes. This is why oxygen masks are there to replenish the blood in your lungs faster in low oxygen environments at higher altitudes. I would bet at least 2 of the people who died in this plane died before it ever hit the ground from heart attacks due to the cabin becoming depressurized and their heart couldn't take the pressure.
@joesalyers Bird at airports are a problem though. The most dangerous times are taking off and landing and that is usually when a bird collision will happen. That said, I agree that birds cannot do the type of damage that occurred to this particular plane. That could only be caused by an explosive device spreading some sort shrapnel.
That figure 8 pattern was likely that heroic pilot attempting to burn off fuel before the crash. Along with fervent prayers likely taking place at the time, the pilot's efforts to shed as much fuel as possible could be why there are any survivors at all.
Pilots think it was very hard to control bc the lost all 3 hydraulic systems on the plane to steer the plane, so they tried another approach. Your idea might be plausible too.
This figure 8 pattern was no attempt to burn off fuel - keep in mind, that they already attempted 3 landings in and around Grozny and then travelled another unplanned 300+ miles, i.e. they must have been already at their final, final fuel reserve, which is supported by the lack of fire at the crash site (the explosion upon impact is most probably remaining fuel and fuel vapours in the tanks going up in flames). If we consider, that the pilots had to make course corrections just with differential thrust, it seems, that their first attempt to line up with the runway at Atau airport out of a left turn failed and they decided to give it a try with a right turn - shortest way back to runway centerline. But given to be already at slow speed with gear down, it is extremely difficult to get a dropped wing level again without having ailerons but just engine thrust. In the videos all over the internet we can see, that the plane came down with the righthand wing dropped at about 45 degrees and the nose also dropped significantly, but that shortly before impact the nose was raised - maybe the pilots tried to pick up speed again in a last ditch maneuver for regaining control, eventually the engines already had flamed out due to fuel starvation... we will see...
Constantine, the one good thing about the plane diverting to Kazakhstan is that there will be a full investigation which should include the aircraft manufacturer and the Azerbaijan Aviation Authority. Good luck with any transparency if it crashed on Russian territory!
Konstantine you are so right. It’s not the first time Russia has shot down a passenger plane. As far as Putin giving his condolences to the people on the plane what a cruel joke when he is sending so many Russians to their death.

Hi Ireland, greetings from NYC. MY GRANDMA came from your country. Unfortunately I never got to meet her. She had severe asthma and before antibiotics 🌹 ROSA NYC
The E190 is a fly-by-wire airplane meaning all flightcontrols are electro-hydraulic activated. By firing a fragmentation missile at that airctaft, all three hydraulic systems may have been damaged resulting in failure of directional steering and altitude corrections. The pilots had one option left and that is flying by only adjusting powersetting on the engines. That may explain the flightpath it followed. We from the Netherlands have the horribly faith of flight MH17 still clear in our memory. It is a harsh reality that Russians now have 2 (two) attacks on innocent civilian aircraft on their record. What a bloody shame. Intentionally or by stupidity, a bloody shame. Thanks Konstantin!
How can you guarantee the safety of aviation when the FAA will never be permitted to get near Russian Air Defenses, to allow them better criteria to select out the Passenger Jets, FOR NON ACTION. In Australia we remember MH17, shot down by Russia in 2014. It was not a mistake, all 298 aboard were killed, and still no word of apology, no admission of guilt, from Russia. We are waiting now to observe the Russian response regarding this latest mass murder.
Do you remember Lavrov’s explanation? That everyone on board including crew were already dead and had been loaded on board by CIA and the plane was being flown by remote control also of course by CIA .
I hope not but I suppose the pilots/crew were killed but those pilots must have been phenomenal because they kept the plane in the air and made it a long way to an airport where they could land after the Russian authorities would not permit an emergency landing in Russia. So sad that a passenger plane was shot down by Russia.

There is no way they didn't know that was a passenger plane. It would show flight numbers of the plain on the radar screen this was in the 70s. You can't tell me that Russia doesn't have this equipment in this day and age. If they don't that is pretty sorry, they are that far behind. They knew and fired the rocket anyway.

Thanks Konstantin. Just plain incompetence from the Russian anti aircraft batteries. Surly that system can identify a passenger plane from a drone, let’s push the button anyway. But not allowing it to land in Russia is pure evil / criminal. Mike Australia 🇦🇺
September 1, 1983, the Soviet Union shot down Korean Air Lines Flight 007 with air-to-air missiles:
Dont forget mh17
Why?
@@katwalkable because they can. or a russian oligarch they wanted eliminated on plane; they probably did not have window fall out insurance policies back home.
The Korean plane was off course and flew over Kamchatka by error. Although Russia knew it was a 747 passenger jet (visually identified by their pilots), the order was given to shoot it down.
They didn't expect survivors to tell the tale.
Good info man ! Thanks !!
The critical part of the plane is the jet engines.
There was no fog. 3500m visibility is not fog
Constantine, the one good thing about the plane diverting to Kazakhstan is that there will be a full investigation which should include the aircraft manufacturer and the Azerbaijan Aviation Authority. Good luck with any transparency if it crashed on Russian territory!
😢 i am sorry for these innocent people who died and who suffered
Konstantine you are so right. It’s not the first time Russia has shot down a passenger plane. As far as Putin giving his condolences to the people on the plane what a cruel joke when he is sending so many Russians to their death.
You are expecting a rogue state to admit culpability.
Hello from Ireland, I am enjoying your channel as you tell me and the world what it is like inside Russia and how the Russians are suffering under Putin control.
I'm Irish, living the American dream. I have a long history of Irish ancestry, my sir name is Desmond, and God bless you.

Hi Ireland, greetings from NYC. MY GRANDMA came from your country. Unfortunately I never got to meet her. She had severe asthma and before antibiotics 🌹 ROSA NYC
@@striperman57 Your surname is Desmond…
A tragic situation, incredibly sad. Thank you for an excellent explanation of the situation, Konstantin. 😢 🙏☮️
That makes 3 passenger jets that Russia has brought down since 2014 that I know about.
How can you guarantee the safety of aviation when the FAA will never be permitted to get near Russian Air Defenses, to allow them better criteria to select out the Passenger Jets, FOR NON ACTION. What's AA doing? Embarrassing the Motherland again because of their likely alcohol-fueled incompetence. Disclosure: I do not live in Russia.
The world deserves more people like you!
THANK YOU FOR.COVERING SO WELL AND WITH GRACE, THIS COMPLEX NEWS! THANK YOU!💚
My condolences to family and friends of the victims. Thank you for discussing this terrible event. A country with an apparently strong Russian Orthodoxy commits atrocities on Christmas--doubly tragedy.
They don't celebrate Christmas on 25 December.
Are you surprised. He put ALEXEI NAVALTNY in jail he was the peoples choice. Then he was poisoned. The Russian poison the Brits fake accidents & we shoot. Some world?
Stay strong, and God's blesses you, Konstantin 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Sending good wishes to you and your family ❤

Condolences to the families of the victims.💐
In Australia we remember MH17, shot down by Russia in 2014. It was not a mistake, all 298 aboard were killed, and still no word of apology, no admission of guilt, from Russia. We are waiting now to observe the Russian response regarding this latest mass murder.
Do you remember Lavrov’s explanation? That everyone on board including crew were already dead and had been loaded on board by CIA and the plane was being flown by remote control also of course by CIA .
Thank you Konstantine! Blessings to you and your family!❤❤❤
You do us a great service, thank you again Konstantin, 🏴
Thank you! ❤️
Konstantin, I find your comments very useful to understand what is going on in Russia. Pls. continue to get this type of info out. 👍
I hope not but I suppose the pilots/crew were killed but those pilots must have been phenomenal because they kept the plane in the air and made it a long way to an airport where they could land after the Russian authorities would not permit an emergency landing in Russia. So sad that a passenger plane was shot down by Russia.
RIP, all those souls who lost their lives and especially the pilots who gave their lives. There is no love greater than the love given by those who give up their lives for the greater good. God bless them and may they be forever remembered.
Thanks Konstantin for your honests reports and position in this tragedy.
Russia is still shooting down commercial civilian airliners! 😞
@@RandyShirley why the heck are commercial airlines operating to and from Russia, the ruling elites are banned from most countries, no need for them to fly, let them walk, or join the tanks being blown up xxx
Thank you 🇨🇦
ANOTHER passenger jet. 298 people were unalived in the first attack. Not that Russians care
When was the first attack?
@@alfonzo7822 MH-17 in 2014 over Ukraine
By a Russian BUK anti aircraft battery. Malaysian Airlines, lots of Dutch, Australian and Malaysian deaths (298).
Russia tried blaming ukraine. However, ukraine did not have anything that could hit so high up. Russia had the capability but denied it, in the same way they denied that the little green men were Russian troops. Satellites proved the transference of the equipment from Russia, as well as identifying the Russian officer who was responsible for the firing. Russia refused to hand him over to the west. He has since been imprisoned in Russia due to being anti Putin. There is some justice in the world.
Kereva Airlines Ju-52 in 1940 over Finland ?
Or Korean Airlines 902 or Korean Airlines 007 or Siberia Airlines 1215
Or Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17
🤷🏻♂️
It Depends on HOW you count...😢
No where else in the world would deny an emergency landing!
Thank you so much, Constantin. Greeting from Czech republic. And for sure happy Christmas to you and your family. Jirka
Thank you Jirka! ❤️
Thank you for your judgment in not showing the crash footage.
You are the only one reporting this truth Konstantine. How stupid are the media people reporting this. Poor people.
The media is just as stupid in the USA . They report what they are told .
@@AB-r8ktry not to be a bad ruzzian troll
Why would any foreign airline continue to fly into Russia after this? Emirates and Turkish Airlines and others should take note and stop flying to Russia..
The indifference to life never fails to shock me. Lives lost unnecessarily. No doubt survivors will start falling out of windows for being witnesses. RIP to all those innocent souls.
Your work is powerful and very necessary, Konstantin. Thank you so much.
Und trotz aller Bad News ein schönes Weihnachtsfest für Dich und Deine wundervolle Familie.

Absolutely, Merry Christmas my Brother in Christ Konstantin!!! Love you!
@INSIDERUSSIA Godspeed. Stay safe and courageous, too.
Thank you Konstantin! Again you have given insight that I would never had.

Amazingly, I heard 29 survived.
Thanks Konstantin you’re well ahead of the main stream media here in the UK anyway.

Thanks Konstantin for the latest news.
Kazakhstan doesn't want to be in the circle.
Ground to air missiles blow up near the target, they don't have to hit the target to bring a plane down
John you are right. Like that phony assassination attempt where he wore a bandage for one day. Yet like always somebody died because of him. He didn't even go to hospital
I just heard abour this story and immediately thought of you. Glad you are ok. This is so sad. 😢
Plane was shot down by trigger happy Russian. Now they do not want to take reasonability.
Thank you for a wonderfull podcast and to all the survivors tell the truth get it out there and to those who passed on to our heavenly farher RIP.❤❤❤❤
Very, very sad. Why would anyone do such a terrible thing?!!!
Sometimes real people are just cartoonishly evil
Why would anyone invade a neighbouring country?
Because they are crazy about stealing land and do not value the lives of innocent people at all.
Thanks for the news update. We appreciate you!
Thank you!
How could people be so evil just to cover up their criminal activities.
Navalny, Nemsov, MH17, Butcha, Mariupol theatre, helping Assad ............... more proof that Russia is a Terror State
Thank you for this incredible stream. It stirred up painfull memories for me as there were people I knew on MH17. Human life has no value for the Russian government even their own citizens.
Thank you for updating us on this one. I suppose the passenger log has been scrutinized for irregularities or prominent guests?
Russia's 2014 attack on a passenger jet killed all 298 innocent people on board. It is not a coincidence, these planes were deliberately targeted.
So MH17, Korean Air flights 902 & 007 once again.
Just Moscow being Moscow....
Thank you so much for this time, Konstantin. You are doing a terrific job.
There is no way they didn't know that was a passenger plane.
In the 1970s I worked for a radar and avionics company when we tested the equipment the info from there transponder
came up on the radar screen. It would show flight numbers of the plain on the radar screen this was in the 70s.
You can't tell me that Russia doesn't have this equipment in this day and age.
If they don't that is pretty sorry, they are that far behind.
They knew and fired the rocket anyway.
Thank you Konstantin for your always being reasonable and your compassion! Happy Holidays!
Not a mistake. Not the first time and unfortunately , probably not the last.
You are a brave individual. The truth needs to be revealed.
Will the survivors who speak out accidentally fall out of windows?
ur channel deserves most recognition!!!
Thank you!
Prayers for those lost and those surviving. May truth become known.
I can't even begin to imagine the pain it must be to watch your own country suffer and fall apart due to one madman and his government. This must be torture of the soul for all you good and aware Russians out there! ❤
I want to hear testimony from the surviving passengers as to what happened.
So would I, b ut as they have been taken to Moscow, we will never get the truth
@joannebooth640 they might get sent to the front lines to fight in Ukraine
Thank you for your research. This is a sad story indeed.
