I love all the art in this show! I would LOVE to see all of the finished pieces more. I'm not sure if it's the videographers or the editors, but they don't always show the finished pieces or show the artists pieces during the judging. If they showed each persons final piece during the judging, that would be amazing! Just my 2 bits.
This was definitely a tough challenge & so interesting to see. Identifying your weaknesses & fears is always difficult, voicing them on camera & to others is incredibly hard & then trying to paint against what you’re comfortable with is tough. I love what each person identified & tried for themselves. It won’t be perfect because they’re challenging themselves, but it was so interesting to see.
Definitely the most powerful challenge to date - to have these artists dig into themselves, face their fears and vulnerabilities and stretch to be bigger than all that. This is a deep process - an experience they can take into all parts of their lives, as well as their art. I am so proud of all of them!
When all three judges have exactly the same taste in art, the judging fails to be fair and the artist paints to please them and loses their uniqueness and authenticity.
My biggest hurdle/struggle in the mastery program has been USING a source. I never have. I’ve never sketched on anything before painting. And I often have no idea what being painted until it happens. I had no idea that wasn’t more normal. While I am really excited to work on my drawing skills and being more prepared with a source I’ve been struggling with feeling I’m just copying something instead of operating out of full creation. I know this source thing is going to help me expand what I can naturally do, and I’m excited. But a source throws me in a left brain space I don’t normally inhabit when painting. I love how different we all are. 😀
I thought it was just me. I really don't need all the stream-of-consciousness emotions. Melting down over mixing reds -- there are so many other things to worry about. This show is very depressing.
Is it really a good idea for the judges to basically tell the artist how they should change their painting when the artists themselves are already showing you THEIR VERSION of their weakness? 100 different judges will have 100 different opinions. That’s why the artist alone should decide what their piece conveys and how it conveys it.
@@anitasmith7764 Only clear change suggestion I noticed here was from Dimitra about the hands placement and truth to be told that was my first thought also when I saw the painting. There really was a problem with the tangent edge. I wonder, why is critiquing seen so negative.. my teachers have been critiquin my artworks since I was 12 years old and they have taugh me many important lessons just like the lesson of layouts and problems with tangent edges. Thankfully I have had teachers teaching me through out the years. How could I have improved as an artist otherwise?!

I have to admit that I liked the first season of this show best... I loved that the community could decide the winners and it was more focused on the painting. Now it's like a reality show where people on holidays paint in the sun. I don't mind the competition element since painting is just another form of art like singing or dancing and we have competition there too.. so I'm actually excited that we have a competition for painting too. I was so excited about this season since it's been a bigger production but it's somehow disappointing to me sadly. I'll still watch it.
best episode so far. The artists felt so human in this one. Some of the other episodes make me bad cause they are like "holier than tho" fancy pretty artists and I am just a poor fat guy in the midwest with no culture or epic backstory
This has been a fun series to watch, the production isn't the best to be honest (e.g. hosts dialogue, challenges are vague, its difficult to know who's actually still in the competition etc.), but I like the idea of the competition. The one thing I don't recall is why all the artist are women this season? Was the reason discussed early on?
God loves to see what miraculous things humans can do… he laughs in amazement at our creativeness… he will see your artwork during your life review. I will work on a project just for him!
did not agree with this one. Bri defintely stayed in her comfort zone with the dance stuff however I love all the pieces everytime and takes so much courage doing it for everyone to see. Great job to all the ladies much respect.
I can’t stand the critiques. You ask them to do something then want them to change it. Critique when they’re done. Let them create. It’s not about you judges. I love art but this show is incredibly depressing. And what’s the point in making them paint in the sun? I just don’t get this show.
This show has actually made me decide not to do the mastery program. I feel like all the artists paint i very similar styles, there aren’t any that stand apart. Plus, the critiques are all the same from the older guy who always says the paint needs to be thicker….drives me nuts!
It's funny because I actually found the first 5 episodes interesting, then there was that break in between where the next episodes weren't being uploaded for weeks...and now I woke up from the spell lol...now I feel like I'm just watching more of the same thing, just in different "challenges". I feel like the show lost its magic for me.
Soooo stupid to critique them and “guide” them into what the JUDGES WANT TO SEE! Stupid! I’m sorry but it is. This IS NOT about the judges. They always say “I’d like to see…” well then YOU paint it. These “small critiques “ just get in their head at the worst possible times. Who is directing or creating this series w these kind of head games? Let’s put them in the most uncomfortable heat, location and mindset and expect something absolutely amazing. Art is all about headspace and environment etc. these artists are ALL amazing in their own way. The do far better without critiques. Let them paint and then pick one to win. Keep your judges noses out of it completely until the end.
Isnt it odd... i loved Anna's, and I especially liked the way the hand kind of comes from outside the picture. It's a shame she's told that 'compositionally' she should move the hand into the painting, further down...
I really wish we could get a better look at the finished paintings. I mean a frontal view for more than a second. I would also l love for the judges to say exactly why and how they cam to their conclusions. the reasons are touched on but more elaboration would be appreciated,
All of their art looks and feels the same. I think this is because they all learned to be the same through Milan Art School. Therefore this show is a big advertisement for the school. I feel so bad for the contestants and hope that one day they can forget what they've learned in the Milan program and come up with their own style.

Would like to see more of the art work, and the process of creation.

This is my favorite episode and I feel less alone when I hear the stories of these artists, I realize we have so much in common.

I’m similar. I’ve never sketched anything first and feel I might grow by doing so.
The thing is to be able to be free, with or without~
This is my favorite episode. I felt like each of the women really went their own way in the challenge. They made some beautiful art.
All these paintings were winners. Soooo hard!
This comes across as a women's therapy through painting retreat, rather than a legitimate art competition
I thought it was just me. I really don't need all the stream-of-consciousness emotions. Melting down over mixing reds -- there are so many other things to worry about. This show is very depressing.
I'm really enjoying this series. As an aspiring artist myself it brings this to another level. They are all very brave!
I am loving this show! It is very inspiring. What a beautiful episode, the pieces were truly remarkable ❤
So exciting. I think my enjoying the mid-painting critiques the most, but I can't quit tell because the whole show is so great.

Making painting in sun is example of testing patience in Plein air

Anna and Bri had solid paintings. The other artists had nice effort. It seems, Melissa might be eliminated.

Despite comments every week, they don't get that we want to see the finished paintings properly, and connect them to the artist. Sigh.....
@@anjilala I think all the episodes are pre filmed. If they do another show, hopefully they will take our comments into consideration.
All the painting styles look exactly the same
What a great COMPETITION. All these pretentious comments makes me laugh.

Why are all of the artists women?
because only women submited their profile to be in the show!
Либо танцуй либо рисуй, две разные практики
They are all women not guys.
More focus on the paintings.
“I wish you luck, tho i don’t believe in luck” 😂 then dont wish it! People dont need your weird awkward talks lol
So you want scripted? I actually appreciate the UNscripted, and whatever various mishaps just add to it being more believable.
