I watched this thinking it had a few thousand view at least, and was surprised when I saw only a hundred. The quality of this video is super good dude! Keep working at it
about 6 years ago i decided to start animating because i was obsessed with animations on here. did none of this except like the ball bounce 💀 um!! now im capable of good animation just through personal trial and error over time but have ZERO patience or motivation anymore for it as it isn’t an interest anymore :( but animating to songs is really really fun i still try to do little animations from time to time but this video kinda makes me wanna get back into it
ty both :3 i think i will once i have the free time, just have to find out what. i made another ball bounce animation yesterday! also @ashoka7273 since u asked, should have a playlist of my old animation memes on my channel but they’re not great and cringe (to me) and my art has improved a lot since then, if i get back into animation i might start posting again? it was fun :D
as an animator with a little more exparience I can confidently say that you did an amazing job!! Your principles are very solid and everything you drew feels alive. Keep it up :)
great job and good luck with your journey! right step to go into the principles! they're transferable to any type of animation and medium, software...Drag/offseting-follow through are really good to have in mind when you get there! give it oomf and nuance or at least believability too!! keep it up man!
I noticed you just do straight ahead animation That’s actually pretty hard! You should absolutely try the pose to pose approach A lot more easier to handle movement Straight ahead is great for elements or flowing stuff like a flag for example
What you have to learn is keeping your volumes consistant ; Especially in your animation of the pig, the cranium volume dramatiquely decrease at pose two. You can easily fix it by drawing you second pose just above the first one, then, move your second key at the right position. Same for bodies: you arms, and chests tend to change in size when moving. It's a really common issue when you start animating and doesn't have a mentor to guide you. But, as I said, you can easily fix it. My advice would be : Try to animate for a while in paper, it's not that expensive, you can buy a cheap two holes peg bar you can use with regular two holes puncher, a cheap light table ,then scan your animation. You'll get a better control over your lines and you'll certainly find it more practical to use for pose to pose animation and clean up. If you're looking for serious ressources to strenghtent your skill, I highly recommend the Preston Blair's manual, it's all you need in order to learn how to design your characters, how to draw with consistance and the very technical basis of animation. I hope this will help you. Hold on and stay focus !
@ You're welcome. we all have some hard time dealing with volume when animating, especially for long cuts. But I'm sure you have what's needed to become a real animator. As you shown in your video, practice is the key to success. Have a good day my friend.
Hey I just found you. I been looking for people who do animation and stuff about it. I just started trying to do some animating myself. Basically starting from zero experience as well. You gave me an idea to maybe Chronicle my effort and maybe put that up to show. Anyway, I subbed and I guess I'll be keeping up with your stuff.
Going into this, I thought it was one of those super popular videos, but apparently not, unfortunately. I hope you gain more recognition, this is a super high-quality video. Subcount: +1 :)))
Great work. I would say if you want to learn principals, don’t be afraid to animate shapes like rigged cut out type characters that way you can just focus on movement and not drawing volumes and anatomy from different angles. Lipsyncing can also be satisfying.
00:50 - are you drawing this with a pen on. a pad or something? I'm wondering how I can do this stuff using my MacBook with AE, but I could get a pen/pad thing!
Hey bro i recently got into animation but i am really confused as to whom i should follow as a teacher to learn animation. Would love if you could recommend some youtubers
pleaseeeee what brush settings do you use for adobe animate? i'm still learning it but my brush looks very different from yours and i cant get the pressure settings to work
Usually I just press B and then there should be, on the right hand side, under tools I believe, a pen with a circular object around the tip which you need to press for pressure sensitivity. The thickness I use is 7 for standard characters but I go less thick for features and thicker for backgrounds :)

You should! The key is to animate whatever makes you happy, and at a pace that isn't too taxing. I look forward to seeing some of your work :)
Awh, did you upload some of your projects somewhere else? 👀 Wishing you the best, I hope something gives you that spark again!

Thank you so much 😀
So you are trying to say here that beginner animator should start animation practice by applying all the principles one by one👀
We each learn differently; I found it helped me to do it that way. But to each their own!

I’ve been trying to do so in more recent animations, but yeah I was definitely shooting myself in the foot earlier on
I was baffled when I saw your sub count… underrated as heck, dude.
Love the work so far, love the progress.
Thank you that truly means a lot :)

Zero experience... Right... 😑
Or just watch other people animate a whole lot and you don't even gotta animate every week for somewhat decent animations
