Been a kiss fan for 50 years ! Saw them over 25 times ! Original members ! Realy all members ! Glad to see a younger generation that genuinely love the band ! Wish I kept my old circus and other old magazines! Good job on the video !
I got into kiss the beginning of 1976 and I was able to convince my mom to get me kiss destroyer when it just came out . I was 9. It was such magic it’s hard to put into words. The world was more innocent back then and seeing something like kiss was even more special in the time they were out . We didn’t k ow their personal lives or what they looked like without makeup so it was even more mysterious and superhero like. Every album release felt like Christmas morning,Halloween,New Years eve wrapped up in one . The posters had us marveled . Kiss was pure magic. The magic started to die a little but the end of 78 for many of us fans because we were used to them and they were over saturated in the market. But kiss always would get new fans so to them it was exciting. But I don’t think anything matches the magic they had mid 70s because they themselves weren’t jaded yet. For most of us kiss will be our favorite forever.
Excellent work! Also Barry Levine was a photographer that has an excellent book of his work with KiSS during the early years called “The KISS years”. I also, appreciated your Creatures Super deluxe box set review. Fan since 75 and until the end
The meet the band on the yellow paper was part of what you got when you ordered and became a member of the kiss army it was like $5 to join and they gave you a news letter too and a bunch of photos. I remember getting all this stuff when it came out in 76. The press photos were all on glossy paper not mat ,I guess they don’t want to confuse the original ones with these ones. It’s cool for fans that didn’t grow up w it to have and it’s cool for us fans that did grow up w it to have all those nice memories /Momentos all in one package. I used to have all the circus mags like your dad lol
I have been a kiss fan for so long, I got bored with it. but I will tell you , all we had was the albums and mags. Felt like forever waiting for a new album, way back then. I am old now but, I wish I had all the things I bought back in the day.
Yeah man I bought Destroyer in 76, after Alive it was awesome. I first saw KISS on TV on the Midnight Special 1974, started listening to them Hotter than hell. Went to see them in Atlanta GA at the Omni December 30, 1977. Keep rocking brothers and sisters of the KISS Army!!!!!✌️ and 🤘😎 Brother Gary
Excellent presentation ! I ordered Destroyer deluxe box , colored vinyl and cd . I was a teenager in 76” and let me tell you brother KISS was a household name. They were everywhere! Walk in 7-11 and bubble gum trading cards on counter, magazine rack had the comic book , creem magazine, hit parader and so on with KISS on the covers. Go to Toy”r”us and Kiss figures, kiss toys everywhere! Walk to record store and KISS posters announcing latest KISS album with store fully stocked of all KISS albums and paraphernalia. You would’ve loved it!

I'm a kiss fan going back to 1976 and it was a wonderful time because you didn't get to see what kiss really look like without makeup and it was a magical time to me it was the best ERA I got the two disc set and the Spirit of 76 tour shirt some day I hope to get the box set I hope that kiss will do more like kiss destroyer 45th anniversary cuz I believe kiss fans will what to get it and I really enjoyed your unboxing of the box set
This is an amazing box set from kiss and I just ordered my creatures of the night 40th anniversary box set yesterday and it’s coming to my place tonight and I’m going to buy the destroyer 45th anniversary box set!! You did a fantastic job showing the destroyer box set, and the creatures of the night box set! Keep doing your job. You are awesome doing that!!
I fully enjoyed the unboxing video of kiss 45th anniversary of Destroyer. I enjoy your passion and enthusiasm for the band. I was 16 when I first brought home destroyer. my first album was Kiss Alive. and then I immediately bought the first three. I played all six albums endlessly. Then came rock ‘n’ roll over I had the vinyl and the cassette for my car.🚙 I still remember driving around with the windows down and that cassette cranking out of my car. When I pulled up into the school parking lot, everyone seemed to gather around and enjoy Kiss. The rock radio stations in Duluth, Minnesota, where II was raised just started playing some of their stuff but I go for the full ride beginning to end on the vinyl even as I download music today I still do the full ride. Enjoyed your video. I first saw a Kiss on the Dynasty tour. I’ve seen them six times the last time was the end of the road tour. Cheers from Houston Tx (it’s HotThan Hell down here lol )🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hey, man - from one Kiss nerd to another, thank you for taking the necessary time to properly detail and upload this unboxing. My box set won't arrive for a few days, and now I see I made the right decision in buying this -- along with the two-vinyl set too. Your care and love of Kiss are appreciated.
wow thanks so much for sharing this. you definitely get tons of goodies with the cd box set version but i have to say the Lp set is a major let down...especially seeing that 'It's the Fire' isn't on there, which is literally one of the only unreleased songs i care about. you asked what it was like being a KISS fan way back in the day: i can't exactly pinpoint when i first discovered KISS. i am 51 now and it was around 1977. i remember seeing the tail end for the commercial for KISS Alive II on the tv and was like, what did i just see. I bought the record in 1978 with my bday money and i became a huge KISS head until Unmasked which i bought upon release and thought it was awful and at that point relegated KISS to the back of the closet until 1984, haha. but anyway, being a KISS fan in the late 70s was MAGICAL. it was just as culturally significant at the time as Star Wars or Saturday Night Fever. back then there was no MTV, no RUclips and no internet. you either heard it on the radio, took a chance and bought the record, or maybe catch a band on Midnight Special or Don Kirschners Rock Concert (i did neither, i was really pretty young and those shows were on late ) the only other way to learn of bands was buying the plethora of rock magazines, and KISS was on countless covers. once the merch machine really started churning out product all us 8 to 10 year olds were fully immersed into KISS. i definitely think the hardcore fans from the beginning lost interest and i totally get it. Destroyer was definitely the record where the personas came to life and they truly became superheroes. i sadly was never a member of the KISS Army, although i always filled out the order form haha. i think mailing $5 cash seemed like a gamble, haha. i wouldn't change a thing about being a kid in the 70s...was truly amazing
I was 9 years old and was totally captivated by KISS and Destroyer. I believe the album had something that came with it to sign up for the KISS Army. I joined right away! Growing up I lived behind a large shopping plaza and every time I saw an empty storefront I imagined a KISS Army headquarters opening up soon. Every time my parents and I drove by it, I always got bummed out that some other store opened up. 😂
Great episode, still waiting for mine to arrive and this video has me sweating with anticipation even more!!! Thanks for taking the time to show the complete package!!!!
Detective was the band that did Ain't none of your business. I was 5 in 1979 so I remember being a Kiss fan and you're right you cant describe what it was like. Only comparable to being a Star Wars fan at the time and waiting for what was next. My box is on the way
@@TheRecordSpinner Michael Des Barres was the lead singer of Detective, who also did background vocals on Genes solo album, I believe the See You In Your Dreams song. He also became an actor, but 2 bands worth checking out are Chequered Past and Silverhead from the 70's and 80's, as Des Barres was a very underrated singer in my opinion. The connections of KISS and Michael Des Barres are pretty cool and thank you for a great review on the Destroyer sets, as I just ordered them.
Thank you, “Dylan” for showing the Kiss ‘Destroyer’ box set!! I bought the, Kiss ‘ Destroyer’ 2 LP record set (with booklet). Have a Happy Thanksgiving. 🎤💋🎸🎵🎹🥁
Looks gorgeous.I have the same 2 items ordered from Kissonline but God only knows when it'll arrive on the sunny shores of N.Ireland. I'm a very excited 55 yr old 🤪🤪
Incredible set!! I am waiting for the 2 CD version to get here, it won't be anything like your version, but still looking forward to it!! Thanks for the video! It is also my Favorite by them and my favorite by any band of all time!!

It is depressing how you can walk in a record store and get something you preordered before your item is sent, and I mean weeks later. I do like that you are a kiss fan and was surprised by what you said kiss is your favorite group. I love the video. May be the first complete unboxing I have seen . I just hope I don't have to wait too much longer for my box set.
I first saw KISS in 1976 in Oakland on the Destroyer Tour and had all the KISS Army items you are displaying and have the ORIGINAL KISS ON TOUR program. Excellent Review.
Matt / Glossy finish is known in the industry as Satin finish. If something is 25% to 35% glossy it's termed Satin. A matt finish has a low 5% to 10% gloss level.
Zzupp Dylan ? Great video ! This boxset really landed in the right hands. I don’t know anyone who loves this album more than me. Except The Recordspinner. The first album I bough all by my self. On cassette. Still got it. And a third pressing. And the 2012 german ressurected. And the 2018 US pressing. Nevertheless , I want this box too. Cheers bro.
@@TheRecordSpinner : Yes , it’s red. It was you who talked about it in one of your videos and I immediately felt the urge and craving. Went online and ordered it from a trusty Swedish online shop , so Thx 4 the tip.
I'm in the UK, and got my email notification that it's shipped today. Can't wait. Bought the black vinyl too. Gatefold is awesome. Nice video buddy. Thanks.
Awesome video!! Now I want the Deluxe massive box set more now then I did before. I do have the 2CD version & the black vinyl (which I did an unboxing of on my channel).
I don't think it's the best album but I still love it and play it on a regular basis to me creatures of the night and the first three Studio albums are the best. Destroyer would probably come right behind those just my opinion.
Looks like they didn't add Ken Kelly's "Brown" artwork at 8:20 mark when you were showing the covers. I don't care what Bill Aucoin said, that artwork is somewhere and was not put out for the trashman. Also, the mono edits are located on promo copies of singles. Collectors out there, you know that.
The Bluray-audio version can be played in 2channel or 5.1 The bluray audio in 2channel is superior to the regular remastered CD. The reason is simple Bluray-audio or DVD-AUDIO is mixed in 96khz 24bit Regular CD is mixed at 48khz. By the way I saw Wicked Lester/Kiss play bars in Detroit Michigan as early as 1973. Saw Kiss for free many times. They were so unknown at the time. Saw them at the Michigan palace at least 5 times. Never payed more than 5 dollars. They backed up Blue Oyster Cult a few times. They backed up Savoy Brown at the Frasier hockey arena. Rush backed up Kiss at the Michigan palace. That show was 5 dollars.
not really the sample rate or bit depth. i think it's better mastering as it has more dynamic (i just guess cuz i haven't heard it) if CD has the same (good master) as Blu Ray (2 channel / stereo), then you wouldn't tell the difference. CD format (16Bit, 44.1khz) is already above human ear. better mastering, better mixing, good production is more important than a format and i don't think this CD is mixed in 48khz, u mean remastering? but between 44.1 & 48khz u wouldn't tell the difference
@@gx1tar1er Not going to debate. Go study it out. There is a reason bluray audio is 24bit 96khz. they can be played in 5.1 or 2.0 The reason all CD's are not masterd 24bit 96khz is cost. The only company on Earth that remasters regular CD's in 24bit 96khz is the Culture factory. Bluray-audio and DVD-AUDIO are the finest audio formats in the history of recorded music. Alan Parsons, Peter Mew, Eddie Kramer, Roger Waters, David Gilmore, Alex Lifeson, ect.ect. will back up what I'm telling you is correct. If you own a audio system set up correctly. You will understand. Call the Culture factory they'll explain to you the benefits of 24bit 96khz. and why they do it.
Absolutely awesome. I am definitely getting this. Aw man!! Excellent unboxing and review...I have been an obsessed fan since I was 8 in 1980. My house is like a KISS, Black Sabbath and metal horror museum. I have bought all of the Sabbath super deluxe vinyl boxsets as well as Ozzy and Venom's boxsets. I can't wait to get this..I have seen KISS 27 times live and met them only once in 1994. My latest show I saw was recently..Many hails to The Record Spinner. This episode was killer!!! I am such a massive KISS fan too and Black Sabbath as well as Coven and all of metal and doom. I love your video shows, every episode..Steven Wilson also remixed Black Sabbath's "Technical Ecstacy" in the super deluxe boxset.
To me, Creatures of the Night is kind of the unofficial part 2 to Destroyer. They have the same concepts. I wish KISS did more albums like those 2 and less party albums.
@@TheRecordSpinner i have both ordered with the original Logo SS. It's important here in Germany, you know. Oh... One thing... Is the double vinyl also available in Red and Yellow?
Great video dude. Very well done. ..most people who watch the Kissfaq podcast know that I hate this album...personally I think Bob Ezrin's mix was way too polished ...but with that said. ..I did buy the boxset and the 2 lp set...mainly as a collector piece ..also a lot of those pieces in the box are very hard to find in its original form..so it's worth buying for that alone. Again ...great video dude. Mark Anthony K Projekt Gemineye
Thanks for the video. I asked Kissonline 2 days ago when my 5 cd box will ship. Answer : "The item is a pre-order item and was not scheduled to ship until the week of 11/19/2021. This means will be begin shipping on 11/19/2021 and the days following." How did you get yours early ?
Waited a long time for delivery, and it's turned up damaged. Thanks Udiscover music UK. An expensive box set like this was packaged in a bit of bubble wrap and a polythene bag. It's really soured the whole thing for me.
Unfortunately I received my Kiss Army packet with the top information was that Peter Criss had left the band.. I was so bummed, Hell, I'm still bummed.
Picture yourself at 12yrs old summer 1976 in california your too young too go too see them at anahiem stadium but your older bro goes you wake up the next morning and the tour book is on the table just for you. It was a great time forsure
Hey I need hardcore KISS fans to answer this; If this album is a "Remaster" how is it any better than the "Resurrected" version, and the comparison of songs like God of Thunder or Shout It Out Loud?
They missed the ball putting out their albums because they were too busy marketing their toys, coffins, comics, and tours. Now that all that stuff is drying up they are ready to squeeze the cash out of fans pockets with these box sets
I am 57 and have all the origional Kiss army kits still all preserved in plastic, the memories!

Great review 👍
Good shit man! I’ve been loving the sabbath boxes as well! Thank you so much for your viewership!
Great video Dylan I will buy this box set and post this on my Facebook wall for all the fans of the Destroyer album Thank You Happy Thanksgiving .
great job, never seen any of your stuff excellent job!
I was a kiss fan since I was a kid I'm 58 to be a fan they were larger than life
The European set is delayed by a week due to 'production issues' and the German release is pushed back to december 10th.
I think KISS should go for the jugular and push a Deluxe box of Originals re-release remastered plus goodies! What do you think Brother?
This is so awesome!! Side note: I too am a Virgo!!
What is your impression on the remaster itself? I know it was done at Abbey Road and I have my own thoughts but I was just curious to get your take.
I'd be more into a box set of the debut..or a cleaned up Hotter Than Hell. That said, I'd be interested to hear the Destroyer blu ray
I would love to see a SDE of the first album. You have the Kramer demos, Bell Sound outtakes and the Daisy 73 show. It makes for an essential set!
the end of king of nighttime world alternative version king of jews line was priceless
....of course my question is, why doesn't kiss do a RSD release?
I'm going to get the 45th anniversary album soon.
Damn Dylan! I have been excited to see you talk about this since you first mentioned it in the chat! Great video!
Thank you Marichen!
Steve Wilson did the 5.1 Bluray-audio versions of Pink Floyd.
They did do destroyer resurrected in 2012.
Good unboxing video and entertaining walkthrough of the contents!
Hey Julian! Thank you so much for watching! Huge fan of the KCH website and the podcast. If you ever need a guest, feel free to reach out!
Wow man... you lucky!!!
Awesome !!!
To me, Creatures of the Night is kind of the unofficial part 2 to Destroyer. They have the same concepts. I wish KISS did more albums like those 2 and less party albums.
35:06 “here is the front” *shows the back* lol
Awesome Job Man. I want this too👍🙏🤘🤘
It’s so worth it!
@@TheRecordSpinner i have both ordered with the original Logo SS. It's important here in Germany, you know. Oh... One thing... Is the double vinyl also available in Red and Yellow?
WOW
Do you have a protective sleeve for the box set? What would you recommend?
Great video dude. Very well done. ..most people who watch the Kissfaq podcast know that I hate this album...personally I think Bob Ezrin's mix was way too polished ...but with that said. ..I did buy the boxset and the 2 lp set...mainly as a collector piece ..also a lot of those pieces in the box are very hard to find in its original form..so it's worth buying for that alone.
Again ...great video dude.

Hey mark! Thank you so much for watching! I enjoy the FAQ podcast very much!
Thanks for the video.
I asked Kissonline 2 days ago when my 5 cd box will ship. Answer :
"The item is a pre-order item and was not scheduled to ship until the week of 11/19/2021.
This means will be begin shipping on 11/19/2021 and the days following."
How did you get yours early ?
The shop I work at got copies almost a week prior to release date.
@@TheRecordSpinner How does the remastered Destroyer sound, better than ever, a little better, not much better ?
To bad the bluray audio In 5.1 doesn't come by itself.
Waited a long time for delivery, and it's turned up damaged. Thanks Udiscover music UK. An expensive box set like this was packaged in a bit of bubble wrap and a polythene bag. It's really soured the whole thing for me.
No sign of mine being dispatched here in the UK, but note the same shop in Germany is saying expected delivery date 10th December. Grrrr....
Is this available in record stores? eg. JB-HI???💿💿💿🤔🤔🤔
Good Job buddy
Thank you!
brother i have alot of great dvds on kiss that show and sound good
Cool...
Totally epic
I wish I could buy the discs only. I dont need all the other stuff.
Has the Anniversary of BOTH Dynasty and Unmasked been released yet????
Nothing as of yet, just KISSONLINE anniversary vinyl pressings
Is this a gz vinyl pressing?
Спасибо, чувак
Has anyone heard any rumour on what the next Sabbath Super D box set album will be?
Steven Wilson - the "George Martin" of the 2010's.....
Hey I need hardcore KISS fans to answer this; If this album is a "Remaster" how is it any better than the "Resurrected" version, and the comparison of songs like God of Thunder or Shout It Out Loud?
Does the vinyl fit inside the box set?
A record could fit in the box ideally but due to the inserts that hold the discs, it won’t fit.
@@TheRecordSpinner
Thanks man.
I found on Amazon buying
Amazing but see my thumbnail?
That’s their best album
Sometimes u look like the great late dimebag darrell doin this what i find cool hahahah
Kiss Fucking Rules.
He as also remixed marillion albums
They missed the ball putting out their albums because they were too busy marketing their toys, coffins, comics, and tours. Now that all that stuff is drying up they are ready to squeeze the cash out of fans pockets with these box sets
