I just want to say that anyone that feels like their periods are abnormally painful and have other symptoms of constipation, pain with intercourse or in between bleeding (the main symptoms) and you feel not right yourself, see your GP. I experienced this from 13 resulting in passing out and being sick. I went to the doctors and said ‘I was too young to have endometriosis’. Let me just say you can get it at any age! I’m 19 now and still on my diagnosis journey. Listen to your body and don’t give up. Xxxx

Fair enough if you prefer that but you shouldn’t make people who wear tampons feel any less for it. It doesn’t get ‘clogged’ up there it gets absorbed.
Ella there are so many health issues caused by using tampons, so it’s not really making them feel bad it’s more just looking out for the people who aren’t aware of the effects it can have wearing them :)
Pill doesn’t always have negative side affects I’ve been on it for 7 years and it’s been fine for me 🤔 I think if the cramps are bad you should try it. It stopped mine altogether!
(WARNING I know this is TMI) I just started my period a month ago and I am currently just starting my second time having my period and this time it is quite heavy, I am so not used to this, I hate it so much but this video had given me lots of comfort about periods thank you so much. Xx
Just remember it's completely normal! I'd say it gets better the more you have them but it's different for everyone. I first had mine just after my 12th birthday and I was terrified but it's nothing to be scared of x If the pain gets too bad have a nice warm bath and try to relax, hot water bottles, heat pads and paracetamol or ibuprofen also help! Remember not to stress or worry too much about it, also try face masks and stuff to make yourself feel a bit better if you're into face masks. Hope this helps 💗
Hope you’re okay, mine was quite heavy but a year or so later it is quite light. Mine is still irregular as I started on my 13th birthday then missed about 4 months and hasn’t sorted out - I wouldn’t worry about it your body takes care of itself and treat yourself well when on your period xxx
Usually the second period is one of the heaviest, it happens a lot, the first one is quite light and the second is heavy, just remember to change your pad every 2-3 hours or when it gets full x
This is completely the same with me, honestly hot water bottles and chocolate is what helps for me! Always open to speak because I completely get it xxxx

i’m on the pill and it’s done wonders for my periods!!! i used to be extremely heavy, get severe cramps and often i would throw up and would basically have to spend the first few days of my period in bed. now i have no pain whatsoever and my periods are so light i only have to use liners! i still get mood swings and pms but no more or less than i used to get. defo don’t be afraid to give it a go in the future if it’s something you’re considering! 💓
I'm on the pill due to painful periods and I haven't suffered any bad side effects. It actually makes me less hormonal. When I first went on it, my stomach was quite sensitive but it quickly eased off. It just works differently on everybody😊

I was 11 and one of the first in my year .. I'm 49 now . Had to have a hysterectomy at 32 . My periods were heavy from the start of having them . My periods ruled my life . I even wore tampons and would leak through them within a hour . I hated my time of the month . So glad I had my hysterectomy

I used to be TERRIFIED of using tampons before I spontaneously got my period on the plane to Spain on holiday... the whole point of the holiday was swimming in the sea, so I had to use them. But now I only use them!! They're so much more comfortable and seem so much more sanitary to me! Love you ana x
I suffer with headaches and migraines a lot but I know it’s not good for you but I’ve found that having coke actually really helps or just caffeine and this one helps a lot honestly going outside and lying on the grass and just getting fresh air.

Ana, I take the pill, Gederel for period cramps and acne, it honestly has no side effects on me and it has absolutely changed my life, the only thing is that my periods are a bit heavier but that’s it and it’s no issue. I highly recommend!!!!

Mine started when i was 9 or 10, i was the 1st girl to start in my year. I never had any pains or anything till i took the pill. Im now 22 and cant take any contraceptive pill implants due to medical reasons, and the pill gave me a serious blood clot and i nearly lost my leg. Im recovering now tho. It's sucks i just have to just take feminex.

I woke up in a pool of blood and stood in my mums room crying. It took me ages to get used to walking with products on/in! I'm really glad you had said you don't want to use tampons. It took me a long time to get used to them and to be honest they often make my cramps worse. I had the implant and it changed my life! I had no pain and no periods :D

I started my period a month after I turned 11 and I cried every time I got it (every 2 weeks) because I didn’t want to go to school! 😂 I then started the pill at 12 to regulate them, i’m 21 now and have been on it ever since.

Ik this sounds really weird but if you want to use a tampon (applicator) you can use a mirror and put some Vaseline on the tampon, it really helps and sometimes you won’t even know it was there. Just some advice for people who might want to use a tampon💓

i know everyone is different but i’m only 14 and i started my period when i was 12, they were always fine until i hit about 13 and they became really heavy, long (7-10 days) and painful until i was put on the pill and it really did help, it has cleared my skin and my mood hasn’t personally changed
As a 21 year old male who hasn’t had a girlfriend in 3 years I did find this video really knowledgeable because I do feel men need to know this information so they proceed to be there for their partner and when I hopefully find someone I’m already in the know when it comes to periods etc

I use the app CLUE to ESTIMATE when my period & ovulation comes and once you gave put a months worth of data into your calendar it estimates how you'll feel, how your skin n hair will be, fluids, cravings, social. deffo helps!

it will get heavier my first period was really light and lasted three days now they are really heavey and last a week x

I started when I was 12, and used tampons ever since about 4 months after, they’re a life saver for the heavy flow girls and sporty girls!🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️❤️

I don't know why I watched this as I'm 23 and a new mum but I loved this! This is something I wish I had when I was younger as I started my period very early and didn't have anyone to talk to about it. Well done for having the balls to do a video like this, I'm sure it's helped a lot of people! ❤️

Ana, I take the pill, Gederel for period cramps and acne, it honestly has no side effects on me and it has absolutely changed my life, the only thing is that my periods are a bit heavier but that’s it and it’s no issue. I highly recommend!!!!

Mine started when i was 9 or 10, i was the 1st girl to start in my year. I never had any pains or anything till i took the pill. Im now 22 and cant take any contraceptive pill implants due to medical reasons, and the pill gave me a serious blood clot and i nearly lost my leg. Im recovering now tho. It's sucks i just have to just take feminex.

I’m 14 and just recently started taking the pill and I’ve had the worst cramps and nausea since. I know it’ll get better and it is so good but it’s so frustrating!

I'm really glad you had said you don't want to use tampons. It took me a long time to get used to them and to be honest they often make my cramps worse. I had the implant and it changed my life! I had no pain and no periods :D

I started my period a month after I turned 11 and I cried every time I got it (every 2 weeks) because I didn’t want to go to school! 😂 I then started the pill at 12 to regulate them, i’m 21 now and have been on it ever since.

Ik this sounds really weird but if you want to use a tampon (applicator) you can use a mirror and put some Vaseline on the tampon, it really helps and sometimes you won’t even know it was there. Just some advice for people who might want to use a tampon💓

i know everyone is different but i’m only 14 and i started my period when i was 12, they were always fine until i hit about 13 and they became really heavy, long (7-10 days) and painful until i was put on the pill and it really did help, it has cleared my skin and my mood hasn’t personally changed
I only use pads as well. I was surprised when I heard that you got your periods at 15/16 as people in my family always got it at 12.
As a 21 year old male who hasn’t had a girlfriend in 3 years I did find this video really knowledgeable because I do feel men need to know this information so they proceed to be there for their partner and when I hopefully find someone I’m already in the know when it comes to periods etc
Really like these chats especially because of the relationship with you and your Mum I’m not close with my Mum at all and was nice to feel like I was having this kind out chat with somebody since I am only like one of two years younger than Anna 16 nearly 17
I use the app CLUE to ESTIMATE when my period & ovulation comes and once you gave put a months worth of data into your calendar it estimates how you'll feel, how your skin n hair will be, fluids, cravings, social. deffo helps!
