She could fly but Soldier Boy couldn't, so stands to reason with Homelander flying he got that from his mother. So he really has Mummy issues when he and Stormfront got it on

It makes total sense, they were the 2 most powerful male and female sups both immortal or atleast not dying from natural aging process, and homelander is blond with blue eyes indicating he's Germanic even though that's probably a coincidence.

Solider Boy being Homelander's father is such an idea that works, that I can't believe I didn't the two together before, the signs where there, but I was enjoying the ride to much.
I love Frenchie's and Kimiko's relationship, they're purest relationship in the series right now, when Hughie and Starlight used to be. I can't believe there's a side of the fanbase who hates seeing it because it's "boring", they can't enjoy good emotional content.
There's actually a fun little end credits scene with the cartoon animals all bowing to audience after their memory play for Black Noir.

Think about it even further... there is only one supe who could fly back then that was female(stormfront/liberty). Which means homelander boinked his mom. And taking it a step further... Ryan killed his mom AND his grandma!

Butcher not telling Hughie about the temp V is actually quite fitting. In his vision, Lenny begged Butcher to take him away, but Billy said no. We already saw Hughie beg Billy to "go with him" during the Russia episode, this is it coming full circle. What'll be interesting is seeing who from the Boys (aside from Kimiko) takes the blue V first. My bet is Hughie, the poor kid is hooked.
I would love to see Soldier Boy and Homelander interact and spend some time together. It would be interesting to see how Soldier Boy reacts to his son's insecure nature and how Homelander reacts to his dad's hard-headed macho persona. I personally think that Soldier Boy will be really disappointed in Homelander and see him as a pathetic loser who keeps looking for approval. I really want to see Soldier Boy call him a "f****n pussy". That would be hilarious 😂

I believe in an earlier episode, it is mentioned that the powers are based on the DNA of the person. If they are based off of the DNA, then it would always be the same power. Which shows with Hughie and Butcher having the same powers every time they take the temp V
So with SB being the father whos the mother, whos the ONLY other flying supe we have seen over the whole show. You guessed it, Stromfront
@@awesomefacematt if Homelander’s powers are directly from the parents, then why doesn’t he shoot beams out of his chest that can remove powers of other supes? Maybe having half of Soldier Boy’s DNA and half of someone else’s, the power was altered so Homelander can fly instead of being able to take away powers. He also doesn’t have the ability to shoot lightning like Stormfront and she would know he is her son

Butcher is thinking he's got to risk it one more time because he needs to kill Homelander ...that's all he's living for at this point. And I wouldn't be shocked if he stops Hughie from taking it again, or at least tries to ..... remember he didn't give it to Hughie initially, Hughie stole it from him.
Black Noir processes information like a child because of the brain damage done by Soldier Boy.

I love the fact Homelander is Soldier Boys son.. but think of this.. who else was around back then that could fly? The only other person that can fly like Homelander? Stormfront. Was Homelander having sex with his biological mother?
My roomate and I were stoned watching this episode last night, the scene with Black Noir and the animated critters really sobered me up.
When hughie took the temp v his arm healed so it seems to me that at least when you first take a form of V it heals what is wrong with you. I think this will play back into the brain damage. When franchie gave kimiko the shot of V there was a lot left in the tube that starlight stole. I think either butcher or hughie end up with permanent v in their veins as a way to heal the brain damage and fix the power gap problem between them and homelander/soldier boy.
Your powers when you take Compound V or Temp V is linked to your DNA and partly your personality. Some people have crappy genetics so they could blow up or get odd superpowers. But after season 2 they stabilized it mostly to give solid powers for everyone. That is why the powers are the same after every dose. So Kimiko has regeneration, Butcher has laser eyes, Hughie has teleportation of only organic matter. They all usually have a baseline enhanced strength and durability.
keep in mind though that some people get more strength and durability than others, so that also depends on genetics
@@Chair991 Exactly. Mindstorm seems to be just an normal human beyond the mental powers but he did take a punch from a mad Soldier Boy and like 2 skull bashes until he died.

I feel like Butcher falls into a coma in the finale from the side effects of Temp V and they give him Compound V to heal him in the S4 premier with him waking up at the end of the episode. Absolute shot in the dark but 🤷♀️
My prediction is that Huey and Butcher will be forced to take the real V to try and save them from dying.
I feel like once Starlight saw the dossier on Temp V's effects that she should have grabbed 2 more regular Compound Vs before she left that lab, but that's just me.
This season of The Boys has been a blast to watch! This episode is definitely one of my favorites!!! You guys should definitely start on Ms. Marvel soon too because the finale is next week!

Wonder what your opinion is on Frenchie and Kimiko- I took when they said they’re more than “just that” to mean she didn’t want them to simplify their relationship to a couple, that they’re far beyond what a Hughie-Starlight is. They’re each other’s best friends, family, soulmates, if you will. I think they’re still romantic (like how she loves the feeling of his arms around her, I think Frenchie would still deny romantic advances from women like that other girl, etc)
I felt she was saying she views him as family, like a brother and was trying to suggest an end to any romantic relationship. I asked my wife and she felt the same thing but didn't see a change in how Kimiko feels but thought someone new would come in for Frenchie. Given how The Boys is though, things can change in the blink of an eye. I loved them together.

I personally don’t like the fact that anybody can just pick up the compound v and get powers. I think it should be a hit or miss kinda thing. Or at least make it dependent on their genetic code.

I feel like when Butcher was initially brought out from Mindstorm's spell everything was still fresh and he would've done anything to protect Hughie, but by the time Annie called him, like last night's nightmare, everything had started to fade and any power it had to change him was waning. Very human, very sad
Not related to this episode, but do you think there is a reason the show has not revisited Victoria Neuman's daughter after she was given V? Just not important or will we get a reveal of her powers (or transformation)?

Considering that they're the two "Perfect American" heroes, and both being the most popular heroes of their time. It works, but im still thinking that they're gonna sike us out
12:18 I think V gives you powers based off of personality. Butcher gets powers similar to Homelander because his will is just as strong. Hughie gets teleportation powers because deep down he wants to run away, etc.
In regards to Kimiko’s powers I think they’re gonna be the same but I think Jen was also right super healing is kindve a base power for most heroes. As for Butcher him choosing not to tell Hughie actually makes sense for his character he wants to not kill him and everything but his anger is and always has been the stronger emotion, more than anything he wants to win his war at all costs he’s going scorched earth even if it means sacrificing people he loved again that’s why you see him crying and conflicted.
I don't think the healing thing is a base power for many heroes... more like the super strength/durability is. Case in point, in this very episode Homelander has to use concealer to hide his bruise from his fight in the last episode. Kimiko would have healed that in a few seconds if it happened to her; consider she had her neck snapped in season 2 and came right back in like a minute.
Maybe it's a 50/50, just depends on the individual supe's power set. Some get healing properties, most don't is what I'm going with for now.

@@Ale_roddy 100%, they get the strength & durability to the point that regular people can't touch them, but when put up against other super humans it's a mixed bag.
From what we've seen so far in the show I'd wager that over 90% of supes don't have regenerative abilities. Really the only ones we've seen on screen have been Kimiko & Hughie, when he healed his broken arm after taking TempV. Every other supe has been severely hurt/died by other supes (or other methods like Translucent). To what extent Hughie's regen power works remains to be seen, but by all accounts Kimiko should have died a few times already. Glad that she hasn't, but you get the point.

Soldier Boy in Episode 6 says he would have wanted kids. Next Shot after that scene is Homelander. Similar to Episode 1 Season 2 when the chick's head explodes and they question who did it and the next exact shot is Neuman. They were giving us the hints on a sliver platter lol. Now Im gonna be paranoid as hell when watching the next episode and seasons.

3-5 doses of temp V kill you. Butcher has had 5, so he’s likely already dead. I think he’s pulling Hughie with him because he knows he’s done for and he doesn’t want to leave Hughie behind like Lenny. It’s messed up, but I think that’s the logic he’s using to justify killing Hughie too
