Cad Chaos is general is a RUclips channel where I guide the viewer through my latest solidworks projects. Also many of the videos are in a tutorial setting where I try my hardest to clearly explain to the viewer exactly how the tool or process works. Some times we cover just a simple feature, but then again maybe we focus on a larger picture like working with surfaces. in general the goal here is not only to become more skilled at using SolidWorks, but having some fun as well. Enjoy!

Never had any luck with this tool. Retried it with your suggestions and managed to have a little more success with it. Cheers,

Thanks for the video. I found if the picture is large or if I drag it larger I get a more accurate Autotrace. After the picture is traced I resize the sketch to the size I want.

VERY useful tut...curious as to why you couldn't move trace points on the wheelchair arc instead of recreating the arc from scratch (will test this out myself)...I agree with ZakarooNetwork the music is a soothing change of pace for background music...also, importing traced vectors from Illustrator or Inkscape (free) is a nice technique as well...

PSA: Every time I try to use this tool it looks like garbage even with a hi-res black and white image, I use Adobe Illustrator's Live Trace, export as a DXF, then import into a solidworks sketch. Comes out perfect.

    hey man,
Do you know why I can't auto trace? I don't have that arrow you have on your version.
Is it because I have a student edition of Solidworks?

I love the generic background music. who is the music artist? Just sharing a tip. Adobe illustrator does very accurate auto trace. Then you can import that vector file for precision creations.
