    I'm blown away Russ on the simple thing I learned which made everything work. The Cerbo GX number printed on the Cerbo GX itself had the ID letters in upper case. Your video said to go into the settings to get the ID number. Holy Shit, the letters were lower case and when I typed them in as lower case, the damn thing took off and started doing its thing perfectly. I wasted hours trying to get it to run, then watched your video. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you..............

      Awesome, glad my video got you out of a jam! To be frank I didn't know that distinction, but I'll be sure to mention that going forward. Thanks for watching!

    Good morning ! I see you have 2 videos on measuring your tanks . Is the Bluetooth better or this type ? Thank you

      Hey there, yes I just tried to cover all of the sensors that you can use, but didn't really recommend specific ones as you saw. In general hardwiring things is going to be better, but it costs more time, money and effort. With Bluetooth you're relying on batteries and a radio signal. It's fine but with hardwire setups you are of course relying on...wires. People love Bluetooth like they do cordless power tools. Sometimes a solution with a cord is better though. Hope that helps!

    Nice video
    Any thoughts why I can connect to VRM and see all data via a browser but not on the iPhone app? iPhone app it says it "no devices found."

      Hey Rob, thanks for tuning in. The only thing I can think of is you may be using the VictronConnect app on your phone, instead of the VRM app? It's a separate app. Is that the case?

    • @robww5921
      @robww5921 8 месяцев назад

      @@rosslukeman think that is exactly it! I can get in via the VRM app (thanks you!) but not my cerbo gx and VRM section on the Connect App. I thought (perhaps wrongly) that section of the Connect App allowed you to play with setting remotely too

      @@robww5921 Awesome, glad that helped! There is a feature called Remote Console but it must be enabled in the Cerbo: Settings --> Remote Console --> Enable on VRM (toggle on). Glad you're up and running!

    I just bought my Victron charger and I can’t logon to the Victron app. It tells me that my email address has not been verified error code 1512. How do I register or verify my email address? Is there a technical support number I can get any support support sucks so far.

    I think I have a confusing problem. I have a cellphone (cell 1) with unlimited hot spot and data. I want to keep it at my Radio Shack where I want to connect it to my cerbo GX. Then when I am out and about, I want to use my second cell (cell 2) phone to connect into VRM ... but I can't seem to get this far at all. I can connect my cerbo to cell 1 Wifi and not sure how to get it to go on line. I guess I need to use the cell phone hot spot and connect there ... I have been at the porthole and logged in and tried countless times to register the cerbo but it never reads anything at all. I have MPPT, Multi plus 2 12V and victron shunt. How does that work with cell phone 1 wifi to carbo and also should it go to cell 1 hotspot
    too? I'll try again.

      Hi David, interesting problem. It sounds like it should work if the Cerbo successfully gets on Cell 1's wifi signal. After that you go to VRM and enter the Cerbo's serial number. VRM then searches for it based on that number. That's about all I've got. If you'd like to do a paid consulting call, I can walk through it with you to see if I can find the issue. That is here: www.rosslukeman.com/offers/Au4HykMc/checkout

      Thanks for your comment. I solved the issue.. when suddenly it was slowing live data. In a nutshell.. The phone I was using to monitor VRM would not also connect to that phone's hot spot. The service I have
      (elcheepo with unlimited hot spot) ... only allows 1 connection at a time. So the Cerbo and computer could not connect to that 1 phone at the same time. I have another phone that I connected the hot spot to the cerbo and the first phone watching the VRM and the system reads okay.. That said, I can adjust the Multiplus through then VRM.
      So you fixed it again :-). ... thanks for the feedback and if any more details that you may want or need to help others in the future let me know. I think if the one phone had multi connections to the hot spot it would work too. pat@@rosslukeman

    How can you stop a smart shunt constantly resetting to 100% when the batteries x2 are showing 70-80 % ?????

    • @rosslukeman
      @rosslukeman  2 года назад +1

      Hey Glenn, you would probably need to set the reset setting on the SmartShunt to the same voltage as the "bulk charge" mode of your chargers. Set tail current to 3%. Whatever reset voltage the SmartShunt is set to, if the charger goes above this voltage at any time, the SmartShunt will take this as a sign that the batteries have gotten to 100% and reset to that. Hope that helps, thanks for the comment.
