Great video and I love sand dunes. And love looking at the night sky looking at the stars. I went sand dunes in Michigan before and it was so fun. Sad it was windy and rainy for you. Always love your videos. You both always look like you’re having fun. See you both soon.
We found out our toilet used more water than anything else we were doing and I reprogramed the newer Thedford. Now we can go a few days on 30 gallons ourselves. Nice views there and the dunes seemed to grow since we took our kids there back in the 90’s.
We just got a composting toilet (video coming next week) so hopefully we'll see if that makes a difference! I think so. Thanks for watching and sharing your experience :) - Liz
My friends went to Great Sand Dunes National Park a few weeks ago and took the most beautiful pictures of the stars at night. What a gorgeous place to see in person!
Beautiful scenery! Love to watch all your videos! But I (we) would really love to have those recipes you guys eat . They look delicious and healthy! I can never come up with all the different ideas and foods you both eat ! Yum 😋! Please share ! Thanks ! Safe travels!
We love finding tasty creative recipes. The first pasta dish was adapted from this one: pinchofyum.com/red-pepper-fettuccine-shrimp Second recipe: pinchofyum.com/chipotle-tahini-bowls I love her blog!
WOW! What a beautiful biome! I haven't seen much of Great Sand Dunes national park, prior to this, and it looks like it was a blast! There really is so much to see in this country, and you've added somewhere new to my list! With travel being the driving force behind my financial goals, videos like this are always inspiring, keep it up! Can't wait to see more!
Glad it added a new place to your list. Checked out your channel sounds like you're on the right financial path to financial freedom and full time travel which is awesome! Wishing you luck on your journey. - Liz
I grew up in Denver with family in Alamosa & I still have sand in my kite bags from 30+ years ago! ~ LoL When my wife & I go FT/RV our "Home-Base" will be a Combine (farm tractor) Garage on her Dad's property outside of Alamosa!
It's incredible! You definitely should. Although it will probably be veryyyy cold! It snowed where we were on the mountains last night and that's August :)
Enjoyed this episode so much especially learning about the indigenous Indians. Glad to see your able to see and share all this with us. Please be safe and take care of each other.
so cool to watch this. my sister from TX has been doing a trip up to Montana and back for the last 2 weeks. she will be at Great Sand Dunes tomorrow and will love this video. safe travels.
We're going to join Harvest Host and boondockerswelcome in October when we head southwest. We spend the summer in West Virginia. Great videos, Going back to watch some more. y'all have great day now.
We stayed at Mosca campground two years ago, for one week and what a great experience. We actually met a couple there that helped us install our WiFi to the RV, we made a cool video on it. The sand dunes are an amazing national park. Thanks for sharing.
Sound of Music? no way... That is the same way I described part of the Colorado Trail in the Silverton area. Love seeing your Colorado adventures! Glad you went to see the Great Sand Dunes because we skipped the area because it was tooo hot.
Bravo on this video! The drone adds a whole new dimension to your VLOGs. Keep the panoramic views from above coming. They are awesome. Music choices are perfect as well. I will say the clarity of this video was better than I have ever seen in any of your VLOGs. Are you using a new camera?? You guys are lucky you are young and good looking because that camera would pick up any imperfections or blemishes you have.
I also want to say Thank You because I woke up this morning in a “not so good” mood and after I watched the video I was back in the right frame of mind. I love the positive energy you guys radiate.
Nice! We are currently landed in Durango which was supposed to be for two weeks and then we were going to check out some of the other areas of Colorado. However, due to a collision with a deer last night, we may be extending our stay here until the Jeep gets fixed. Thanks for giving us more ideas on places to check out!
We live in Colorado and visit the Dunes often. Visitors should be aware in the spring, San Luis Lakes CG is almost uninhabitable due to mosquitoes. Last May, as we drove to the campground, our windows turned black with mosquitoes. We dared not open the doors. Had to stay at the KOA in Alamosa as the NP campground was full.
So glad you enjoyed it and are joining us on our journey. Dennis got that hat several years back at REI. I'm sure they have something comparable still. - Liz
Loved the drone video integration. Really entertaining vlog. It’s sad that I lived there for 5 years and have to watch your video to see what I missed.😂
We got them from World Market. They are bamboo. Not microwavable but we liked that they didn't have any toxic chemicals like a lot of the plastic ones do. - Liz
A few years ago I went into Shenandoah National Park Welcome Center to stamp my US National Park Stamp Book. The rangers at the desk apologized that the stamp pad was out of ink. I said "No problem, I carry my own ink pad just in case". They lost composure when I reached in my backpack and pulled out an ink pad and tried so hard not to laugh at my nerdyness. PS, whenever you cross a state line or country border, Dennis gets all excited like me, Coloradoooooooooooooooooooo! Mexicooooooooooooo!
HAHAHA -- So funny! This comment made us laugh out loud. Thank you for watching and sharing that awesome story. Crossing borders is exciting! - Liz & Dennis
Thanks for the dunes shoe wear tip. If you have Hulu, you might enjoy the Native American episode on Taste the Nation (the whole series is good). I could use some refreshing mountain air, hace mucho calor en Florida.
So you either buy an Annual access pass or have a valid CO hunting or fishing license. Janie and I needed to update our address on our fishing license so we stopped in Monte Vista at the State Div of Wildlife office today and they said next year they won’t be accepting an Access pass only Hunting and Fishing licenses. Apparently this campground is one of a kind, it was formerly a State Park and was taken over by the Wildlife Refuge system. No reservations strictly first come first serve. Very hard to find information on it on any state site.
Yes it is an outlier but a wonderful campground! Bummer to hear they would do the annual access pass. Although the fishing and hunting license is rather cheap especially if your a CO native.
“Like ‘The Sound of Music’”.....did Liz break out into song? You know, the hills are alive...... 😀. The sand dunes looked cool. I always say, “sand, it is the gift that keeps on giving”. Years from now you will find sand from your trip. P.S. You make me cringe a little when I see you riding in shorts. If you have a spill, you are probably going to make a little “skin donation”. Have fun and stay safe!
First come first serve…no thank you, I prefer not to have my vacation ruined. When you go to the San Luis Lakes SWA website they flat out tell you it’s filled completely from Memorial Day through Labor Day, so WHY DON’T YOU TAKE RESERVATIONS!!!! Full campgrounds should absolutely never be FCFS, that should only be for lightly-used locations. If it’s full every night, all FCFS does is create a circus and guarantee disappointed people and ruined vacations. It’s not complicated, take reservations. Sure it’ll be booked solid all summer, but then you know not to stop by, or if you are lucky enough to have one you don’t have to get there at 6 AM and troll around like it’s Black Friday and the mall. These places are utterly mismanaged now and have failed to adapt to the frenzied freak show that camping has become. Typical government-run operation. And making you buy a hunting license to camp is absurd to top it all off.
Beautiful night skies! I remember hiking those sand dunes and I agree.... it's hard work! Great video.
Thank you! Definitely hard work but worth it!
Great video and I love sand dunes. And love looking at the night sky looking at the stars. I went sand dunes in Michigan before and it was so fun. Sad it was windy and rainy for you. Always love your videos. You both always look like you’re having fun. See you both soon.
1:14 I'm familiar with that area, I pass by there every time I go visit my parents from Dallas to west Texas. 😁

Have you ever thought of creating a cookbook? Your food looked delicious. I love the Sand Dunes and after this video I know I need to go back!
It's such a fun place each time we visit. I'm a recipe follower. Wish I could claim the recipes as my own but there not haha 😋

Enjoyed this video as usual. Colorado is definitely going to have to be on my to do list.
Oh yes! It's an incredible state!
Could not imagine what the sky looks like at night there. I should drive west from NC in October.
It's incredible! You definitely should. Although it will probably be veryyyy cold! It snowed where we were on the mountains last night and that's August :)
@@EatSeeRV Maybe I'll just hang in Arizona then. 😊
Definitely warmer! Haha

So glad you enjoyed this episode! Thank you for watching and joining us on our travels - Liz
I'll be down at the Dunes in May when I go visit family in the area!
O, I get it, to much SAND for us! We dig the camp fire, bottle of wine and that SKY! O THAT SKY! THANKS SAFE TRAVELS
The sky was incredible! And the campground with those views 😻
Lovely especially the star shots!
So beautiful right? Thanks so much for watching!
so cool to watch this. my sister from TX has been doing a trip up to Montana and back for the last 2 weeks. she will be at Great Sand Dunes tomorrow and will love this video. safe travels.

Great video, stunning location 👍
Glad you enjoyed it! - Liz
Another interesting video!
Thank you!
Truly love the Colorado scenery. We'll have to visit there soon. Great video. See you on the next one.
It really is amazing. Definitely have to visit soon. Glad you enjoyed it! - Liz
Nice job of filming and editing. It's great having such nice music as well.
Glad you enjoyed the video and experience :) - Liz
Perfect vid/route to follow. Heading to colorado soon w/rv❤️
I discovered those sport sandals a few years ago and they're all I wear in the summer. Good traction wet or dry, cool and comfortable.
Those were from Walmart and have been well worth the $20! Definitely nice to have a pair like that - Liz
OMG those shots of the stars were incredible. Colorado is beautiful and I’d love to walk on those dunes. Great video guys, take care. Cheers!!!
Weren't the beautiful! We must have seen 40 shooting stars that night. It was incredible! Glad you enjoyed the video - Liz
Yaayy!, we were just there in early August. Awesome place. Love Colorado!!.
Oh man we were there the first of August too! Wonder if it was the same time! Hope you enjoyed

It is so much fun to watch your journey. You guys are great ! Thank you 🤩😍
Thank you so much! - Dennis ✌️
Loved the memories. I spent two days there last summer. Went on to Chaco Canyon. I slept in my SUV but an RV would be perfect.
That sounds like a great trip!
We stayed there 2 years ago. Great deal. We picked up the yearly permit at the Walmart in Alamosa.
That's awesome! Yes it's so worth it - you can't beat those views especially for the price. - Liz
Sound of Music? no way... That is the same way I described part of the Colorado Trail in the Silverton area. Love seeing your Colorado adventures! Glad you went to see the Great Sand Dunes because we skipped the area because it was tooo hot.
Haha yes I've heard it's like that near the million dollar highway!

Oh wow! We visited our first time in may staying here and mosquitoes weren't an issue. Has that happened more than once?
@@EatSeeRV We never had to courage to go back. We often stay there in Sept and Oct. when we know there will be no bugs.
Great Sand Dunes NP is awesome. Will camp next time. Really enjoy you guys. Travel safe. Make sure you do White Sands NP before you head back to MX.
Thanks Bob! Glad you enjoy the videos. We have been to white sands! It's a beautiful park. Don't think we'll make it there this trip out west. - Liz
wow looks so amazing there
It's a beautiful place!
Amazing! Thanks for sharing

Just watched and loved your meals!!!
So tasty!
I’d love to see you guys post recipes of some of the dinners you make. The sweet potato, radish, soft boiled egg dish looked very tasty...
It was a recipe I followed that I put in the description! I wish I can up with these but I'm a recipe follower haha
I love those large white dinner bowls you use, where’d you get them?
We got them from World Market. They are bamboo. Not microwavable but we liked that they didn't have any toxic chemicals like a lot of the plastic ones do. - Liz

Was that first place (20 min from sand dunes) only available through harvest host? What was it called
Great video, thank you...but I could never eat that food lol
Why not? Because it's healthy? - Liz
The snake straps where can I get a pair.
I'd imagine an outdoor sporting store? Those weren't ours.
