Just bought both Rise and Fall and Gathering Storm. I haven't been this addicted to a new game in a long time! Started playing Civ 6 as a complete newbie to the series and it quickly became my new obsession. Your guides have helped me TONS and your approach to teaching without telling what to do to win is perfect. Your videos are articulate and clear and you have a really calming voice too. This is my new favorite channel. Keep up the fantastic work!!

@@MohProbsi bought both Rise and Fall and Gathering Storm in the Anthology pack that was on sale on steam. After playing both for a while i decided that I don't really like Rise and Fall. I would like to keep playing Gathering Storm though. The main thing I dont like is the age system and goveners. So I tried to disable Rise and Fall and I restarted the app. After that I still had those systems. I wanted to ask, is there anyother way to disable this?
@@rogerpalmer8072 unfortunately i think that if you only have gathering storm active the rise and fall mechanics are still enabled. you'd probably have to play the base game if you don't want the R&F stuff, but then you'd miss out on the GS stuff

Gonna buy this bundle soon. I will say, a lot of these mechanics seem like they'd get irritating for those looking to do domination victories.
i can see that. loyalty from rising fall, weather and emergencies for gathering storm. i think it makes things interesting tho!

I still think vanilla Civ 6 is the best version of Civ. These expansions are interesting and definitely improve the realism of the game... I'm just not convinced that the weather events and the many extra mechanics that they introduce actually make the game more fun or add a level of depth that's worth the tradeoff of extra tedium and mental load. Maybe for a super experienced Civ player they're a breath of fresh air, but for a relatively new player they're quite overwhelming while not adding that much to the game experience.
yeah the weather is def a controversial one. def unique, interesting, and honestly can also feel realistic since weather and climate plays a much larger part in our history than we might realize. as a game mechanic tho... most people i know tend to reduce the effect
Im in the middle of noob/experienced and have always just stuck to vanilla but I just started my first game on gathering storm and have to say it's pretty fun. It is pretty overwhelming but one thing I definitely like better is the updated district adjacencies and city power. I didn't like governors at first but now I'm starting to see the advantages of learning to use them effectively. Still trying to figure loyalty out though

I have a problem, I bought gatherings storm like some years ago and I reinstalled civ 6 about 1 month ago and I can’t re-download gathering storm with the bundle (I’m from ps4) how can I do?
that seems odd. I play on PC so i'm not 100% sure, but it seems weird that gathering storm doesnt download automatically? maybe you just need to enable it when creating a game?
How do you see the bonuses from policies in the government section? Is it a mode or some in game setting?
