I had to come back with a little story.One day during first lockdown I was in a shop with my granddaughter.The announcement about Covid was so annoying I said under my breath "ok lady,we get it". Offcourse my granddaughter heard me,she was two years old then.So the next time the announcement came she shouted at the top of her lungs "ok lady we get it". The whole shop heard her.She is such a funny kid.😃

I had a similar problem with my knees, I’m overweight and have hereditary Osteoarthritis but 8 years ago I had my first knee replaced and six months later I had the other one done and wow what a change to my life. I was fortunate and had a surgeon who believed in quality of life regardless of what you weighed. It really is worth getting them done.
4 stone, you have done so well. I know where the 4 stone has gone, to me and my hubs. We have been decorating too as our last one left home just before xmas so we are now repurposing rooms.

Loved the vlog as always. You mentioned you have bad knees but just wanted to mention that joint pain is often an indicator that foot wear is inadequate. Shoes can look like new but the cushioning/absorption can be worn out. Good shoes can absorb a lot of impact to protect your joints. I didn’t realize the difference it can make until I complained about knee pain that had been going on for months and a friend mentioned the importance of footwear to me. My knee pain went away very shortly after I got new shoes. Now when ever I feel ongoing knee pain i change my shoes to see if that’s the problem. It s worked every time. The worse your knees are the more important the absorption in the shoes is. Perhaps your shoes are new and still providing cushioning but just in case they may be a contributing factor I thought I would mention it. I was always told the same thing as you, lose weight, but being told to change my shoes was life changing.

Your packing is amazing, it does help it to be fast forwarded, but still! You do work hard dear Carla. Loved the vlog and seeing your mum and Nat and Caroline is always a treat. And of course my favourite puppy....I love all 3, don’t get me wrong. I’ve come to realize I especially love watching you open gifts. Odd how happy it makes me to see you surprised and pleased, Nat too, she is gracious like her mum. Wish I could send you a new knee....not possible but I also have a bad knee and have a hard time getting about but I know for sure your weight loss will do nothing but help with that. It’s hard to wait for the benefits but they do come. I enjoyed this week very much, thank you for all the extra effort this takes you, it’s such a boon to your subscribers 🥰🇨🇦😊💕

What a busy week you’ve had 🤣. I’m glad your mum’s arm is getting better, I hope she had a lovely birthday 🎂. How cute was Molly under the table at your mums. Nat’s room looked lovely. My eldest daughter’s room is painted a similar colour (although she doesn’t live at home any more 🙁) I really miss her, she lives in Leeds and I haven’t seen her since June due to the pandemic 🙁. Nice to see Mrs M, I’m off to see her soon🤣

Love a Tuesday morning with your waffle! Noone has much happening so a glimpse into your world helps enormously. Sorry about your knees/leg. Now you're prepared to give walking a go - if you feel able to try the same walk every day, you might notice improvement? Easy to feel 'the fear' if pain sets in, I appreciate.

I'm glad you explained about driving to your Mom's house because the other day when you filmed your drive in fast forward I was thinking "Good gravy, I thought her Mom lived in the same town!" . All those curves and round-abouts were amazing also.

Love the colour teal my favourite as well. My daughter had to have knee replacement at 38 due to arthritis.

Busy week all round for you. I can identify with you regarding leg pain /knee problems etc. No matter how short the distance walked it's a positive. I have found that walking the same route initially builds confidence and a sense of achievement. I have a walking stick that has a rubber triangle base from amazon. What good about this design it promotes forward motion and good for balance. I do not use it all the time but it's good as a backup, perhaps on the return route. All the very best.

I know what you mean about walking. Few years ago I baldly broke my leg and now have metal plates & sins in my leg and ankle which swells easily. I have put more weight on since this happened but was swimming 3 times a week - slow swimmer but better than nothing- since March lockdown obviously no swimming and I can really tell. I try to go for local walks but makes my ankle hurt more & arthritic knee. Going up gentle inclined roads I have to stop often to catch my breath. It’s so annoying. So walking seems a chore so often don’t so mobility just gets worse. This is a bad side effect of lockdown for me. I’m glad I’m well but fell like a big fat unmotivated lump. It’s a vicious circle.

We had a long weekend here with Dr. Martin Luther King holiday which some of our backwards people don't close their stores for. I had 15 going out, most of them were hard goods. Lots of bubble wrap and cursing. Thanks for the video, your doing great on your weight loss. I gained 50 pounds the first lock down (if you can call it that). I did go out last week two days in a row. Spent lots of money and now the back porch is loaded down with things to list. Won't be going out again for a long time. People are crazy over here, I want to move to England, please let me in !. Love you

ive tried and tried to fold clothes up very nicely to fit in the polymailers like you do but I can never get it quite right!
Plenty of practice and a decent space to work on!
Have you tried the ‘cardboard template’ trick where you place the garment onto cardboard which is cut and folded in a certain way, the you flip the left and right sections then flip the bottom section and everything is folded to a uniform size. It sounds much more complicated than it is.... especially when I try to explain it 🤣

I thought it was just my daughter! Since she was around 12, she's now 27, It's been messy, unorganised. I've helped in the past yet it never stays like it. I can't even walk in her bedroom without treading on something. So now I just stay well clear. 🙂
Hard walking on concrete, grass walks with my dogs much easier, with bone on bone knees every day is a challenge.. could see the pain in your face...dr gave me naproxen and gastro protect tabs, certainly helps with the inflammation in the knees..it’s so easy for drs to shout weight at you, you’ve done flipping amazing...I also tape my knees up with Kinesiology tape, lots of utube vids to show you how..helps support the knee.. good support shoes also help, Skechers, Hotters, my faves.xx

Oh Carla, what a tease you are! There I was waiting for the Lamb dinner to materialise and nothing further was said... is pressure cooking lamb not a good idea? I just got the Aldi ‘instant pot’ knock off and I’d love any pressure cooking ‘gems’ you might have.
As for Nats ‘messiness’, I’m an incredibly messy person who gets overwhelmed easily by my own clutter. I’ve found watching ‘clutterbug’ on youtube very helpful. Cas was exactly the same, stuffing things in cupboards, hiding things and being a total hot mess. She’s worked on her issues and has discovered why we can be like this and how to manage it depending on our own ‘style’. Maybe you could watch some of her videos and see if you can discover ways to help Nat regain some control.
If my Mum had tidied my bedroom at Nats age it would have left me feeling even more unable to cope and also ‘judged’. You are doing the right thing by leaving it but open to help if asked.
Lastly🙄🙄🙄 (yep I waffle too 🤪) may I suggest you try a week of No nightshades (potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, aubergines) whilst also avoiding seed (vegetable) oils and spreads? See if your leg pains become more bearable, it may actually take longer but these are things that promote inflammatory responses in your body and that inflammation causes all sorts of issues including arthritic pain. Its worth a test to see if you get any benefits from it, citrus fruit can also cause issues in some people.

Edges first, but then mum sorts the pieces into separate trays according to colours or patterns.. I got her this and she says it makes a world of difference amzn.to/36b4i0D

OMG you've got my Bloody knees 😉 I'm the same ,I can only get to our car , my Husband as to literally pull me upstairs and all I get from the Doctors is lose the weight , if they gave me Bloody pain killers that worked then I could excercise and lose the Bloody weight faster ,but the think is they said if I lose weight they still wouldn't do my knees as Im too young , too young at 55 I mean how old do you have to be ? So your way too young Carla 😄😄😂 sorry to go on but it gets me that anything you get wrong with you it's always down to your weight and you don't get treatment or pain killers , yet if you were thin you would get treatment or pain killers straight away . NOT EVERYTHING IS DOWN TO YOUR WEIGHT and everybody should be aloud to be out of pain , don't you think ? OMG I'm going off on one now I'm going 🥰🥰🥰xx
I feel your frustration, I had my knee replacement aged 51yrs at 16 stone. I’m now seven stone lighter because I can now walk! They last about 10-15 yrs depending how you treat them ie running not so good. I explained to my GP that my quality of life is more important to me than the fact I may need a revision because of my age. Don’t give up !

@@lynnfinney2611 I’m in Devon. I would change your GP , as far as I know they can’t discriminate youbased on age or weight. My orthopaedic surgeon didn’t once mention my weight, I was expecting him too but he went by my x rays and how much pain I was in. It was a 12 month waiting list which because of Covid backlog is probably two years so the quicker you get on the waiting list the better.
